Deal With Iran Now, or Regret it Later

I am getting sick and tired of hearing politicians say that we cannot successfully attack Iran. This is entirely untrue. What is needed against Iran is not ground troops. I feel that a combination of air strikes against leadership, military and weapons of mass destruction sites and a full naval blockade would be extremely effective. Would we destroy all of the weapons of mass destruction sites? No, but we don't need to. All we have to do is delay them long enough to bring their government to the realization that they will not ever be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

If Democrats would quit putting politics before national security they would come out strong on this issue and say that all options are on the table, like the Bush administration is doing. Instead they quickly condemned any thought of using military force. They might as well have sent a telegram to Tehran saying "we have no spine, go ahead and make as many bombs as you like".

What appears to be beyond the Democrat's comprehension is that if the US does not act Israel will eventually be forced to. And, if they feel that they have no conventional alternative they may have to resort to a preemptive nuclear strike. No Israeli government can just idly sit by and wait for the next holocaust and there is no doubt that this is exactly what Iran is advocating when they say Israel should be blown off the map.

I just read that Russia, England and the EU has all cautioned Israel to exercise restraint, which is yet another example of why strong US leadership is needed in the world, because the rest of the world just does not get it. Israel needs to strongly respond to any terrorist attack supported by the Palestinian Authority or else they just invite more of the same.

Suicide Bomber Kills 9 Innocent Israelis

Once again a Palestinian suicide bomber has killed innocent Israelis. A Hamas spokesman was quoted as saying it was "an act of self defense". What it is, is a butchery of innocence and now that it is being openly supported by the legitimately elected Palestinian Authority it is an act of war and should be treated as such. The US needs to come to the quick realization that the only way there will ever be peace in the Middle East is when every terrorist is dead and allow Israel to take their gloves off. It was just April 13 that the corrupt UN was actually trying to condemn Israel, who does not intentionally target innocent civilians, while giving a free pass to the terrorist run Palestinian Authority. Thankfully the US refused to support this move.
