The internationally known fireworks company, Grucci, has pulled out of an annual Christmas event on Long Island because the town of Patchogue decided to break with its 15-year tradition of holding a Christmas Boat Parade: This year it decided to rename the event the Patchogue Holiday Boat Parade.

Grucci vice president Phil Butler, a vocal critic of the secularization of Christmas, accused the parade’s organizers of “using all the themes of Christmas and plagiarizing all those themes.” Grucci is headquartered on Long Island.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue commended Butler’s decision:

“If more people like Phil Butler stood up to the high priests of political correctness, the dumbing-down of Christmas would cease Christmas is the only holiday that is singled out by these authoritarians. They do not object to Jewish or Muslim holidays, nor do they object to holidays like Martin Luther King Day. And they relish Kwanzaa celebrations. But when it comes to Christmas, they quickly become censors.

“So Kudos to Grucci. Let this be the first of many counterpunches thrown at the cultural fascists this year.”

So This Is Where Obama Supporters Are Going To Take It - McCain Supporter Violated By Obama Supporter - UPDATED

I am beyond angry and frightened right now, as a woman and a McCain supporter. To tell you the truth I am ready to spit nails. This is going to be a strong and very important piece from myself on the behalf of all women. Don't EVER allow your self to become a victim like this!

You are an American with rights and your life and dignity is too important to allow this kind of treatment of your self, by anyone. There are many ways to protect yourself and I suggest you find the one that fits you best and be fluent in its use. The next time a freak even thinks of attacking a woman for being a McCain supporter or for any reason we need to make sure he regrets it.

This is America, we are not socialist yet, and victims no more shall we be. Obama will probably not condemn this action because his claim will be that his campaign does not condone it, but I am telling you this here and now - by not condemning it, he IS condoning it. The terrorism is striking closer to home than you know. As a nation founded on God we need to understand that turning the other cheek means being willing to forgive, not making yourself a victim to sinners.

Murtha's Non Existant Lead

Murtha's hold on House seat slips
By Mike Wereschagin and David M. Brown

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Two veteran warriors battling to represent the 12th Congressional District appear locked in the closest race in the district in years.

Democratic Rep. John Murtha leads retired Army Lt. Col. William Russell by a little more than 4 percentage points, within the Susquehanna Poll's 4.9-point margin of error. The poll of 400 likely voters was conducted for the Tribune-Review on Tuesday, amid uproar over Murtha's statement that some of his constituents are racist.

Stanley Shemanski, 67, a retired meat cutter who lives in Apollo, said he's undecided about the congressional race. He doesn't know much about Russell, but he's upset with Murtha's comment that racism in the district could hurt Democrat Barack Obama's chances...

Catholic League president Bill Donohue sent a letter today to Lois G. Lerner at the IRS. The text is printed below:

Barry Lynn of Americans United for Separation of Church and State has made public his objections to Paterson, New Jersey Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli’s recent letter to his constituents on the subject of abortion. Lynn has asked you to investigate this matter, charging that “It is impossible to interpret this passage [the concluding paragraph of Serratelli’s missive] as anything but a command to vote against ‘the present democratic candidate’ because of his promise to sign a certain piece of legislation disfavored by the Catholic Church’s hierarchy.”

Perhaps it has something to do with the notoriously anti-Catholic origins of Lynn’s organization, which once called for high-ranking members of the Catholic clergy to be stripped of their constitutional rights, that led him to conclude that any FYI statement made on the part of the Catholic clergy regarding public policy matters constitutes a “command” to Catholics on how to vote. Indeed, only someone who has bought into the worst stereotypes of the Catholic Church would assume that bishops are in the business of giving marching orders to their congregants.

Lynn is a member of the clergy of the United Church of Christ, a religion that supports abortion rights. Moreover, Reverend Lynn makes no bones about his rabid pro-abortion views. He is entitled to that position. But just as it would be absurd for me to say that he has no right to exercise his freedom of speech by telling his congregants that certain candidates for public office hold views that are very different from their own on some issues, it is equally absurd for him to accuse Bishop Serratelli of crossing the line. In short, there is a profound difference between a passionately expressed opinion and a “command.”

Statement On Jobless Claims

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Senator John McCain issued the following statement concerning the increase in those claiming unemployment benefits:

"Today, we learned that another 478,000 Americans claimed unemployment benefits this week. Times are tough, and we need immediate action to take this economy in a new direction. Governor Palin and I will fight to reform Wall Street and Washington. We will make sure that bailout dollars are used to help deserving homeowners, stop the foreclosures and free-fall in housing prices, and make sure Americans can afford their house, pay their heat and drive their car. We will help the seniors and savers who have been damaged by the financial market meltdown. Our Jobs for America plan will create millions of new jobs. Barack Obama's only answer is to double-down on the Bush Administration's legacy of out-of-control spending, raise taxes on small businesses, impose mandates on employers, and raise trade barriers -- a time-proven recipe for turning tough economic times into terrible economic circumstances."

The Terrence McNally play, “Corpus Christi,” is currently being performed in Greenwich Village. The play depicts Jesus as an ordinary person who has sex with his apostles. In 1998, Catholic League president Bill Donohue led 2000 demonstrators in a protest against the play when it opened at the midtown Manhattan Theater. Because the play is not at a prominent location this time, the league has ignored it. However, Donohue is not ignoring what the
New York Times
has said about the play this past week:

“If only the
New York Times
thought of Catholics as if we were all gay, we’d have no problem with the newspaper. The vile play which they love—not for artistic purposes but for its assault on Catholicism—features the Jesus character, Joshua, saying to his apostles things like, ‘F---your mother, F--- your father, F--- God.’ The Jesus-character is dubbed ‘King of the Queers’ and the script is replete with sexual and scatological comments. At one point, a character named Philip asks the Jesus-figure to perform fellatio on him.

“Yesterday, Jason Zinoman of the
New York Times
applauded the play for its ‘reverent spin on the Jesus story.’ One wonders how debased a performance against Catholicism must become before this guy would call it irreverent. Moreover, one wonders what this guy would say if the play substituted Martin Luther King for Jesus. On October 19, Mark Blankenship said those who protested the play in 1998 offered ‘stark reminders of lingering homophobia.’ So when anti-Catholic homosexuals like McNally feature Jesus having oral sex with the boys, and Catholics object, it’s not McNally who is the bigot—it’s those protesting Catholics. One wonders what this guy would say if a Catholic made a play about Barney Frank showing him to be a morally destitute lout who ripped off the taxpayers. Would he blame objecting gays for Catholic bashing?

“So nice to know what the gay-friendly
Times thinks about Catholics.”

Catholic League News Release

On October 20, the Catholic League accused two left-wing Catholic groups of consorting with George Soros, the bigoted pro-abortion mogul. Specifically, we said that Catholics in Alliance receives funding from Soros’ Open Society Institute (OSI) and that it is integrally linked to Catholics United. Now Chris Korzen of Catholics United is saying that OSI also funds Catholic Charities, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Catholic Legal Immigration Services (CLIS), thus making them morally equal.

Replying to this is Catholic League president Bill Donohue:

“Unlike the three Catholic organizations cited by Korzen, Catholics United and Catholics in Alliance are apologists for abortion rights. Their passion for abortion rights is so strong that they refuse to endorse the legal ban on partial-birth abortion. So scandalous is their work that they were singled out by Archbishop Charles Chaput last week for doing a ‘disservice’ to the Church. He said they have ‘confused the natural priorities of Catholic social teaching, undermined the progress prolifers have made, and provided an excuse for some Catholics to abandon the abortion issue….’ Chaput would never say that about the three legitimately Catholic social service groups.

“Catholic Charities, CRS and CLIS have been around for decades. All receive tens of millions of dollars from government, foundations and individuals, and it is a sure bet none has a clue who OSI is. The two discredited Catholic groups were founded after their pro-abortion hero, John Kerry, lost the election in 2004. More important, two years ago Catholics in Alliance received nearly 10 percent of its money from OSI. And it is a sure bet that its officials know exactly who is behind OSI.

“The bottom line is this: When it comes to social welfare causes, Soros gives money indiscriminately. But when it comes to abortion, he prefers to give to pro-abortion and anti-Catholic groups like Catholics for Choice. Now he likes to give to Catholic abortion apologists as well. Thus, Korzen’s moral equivalency argument fails miserably.”

Sarah Palin - A True Believer In The Second Amendment

If you believe in the Constitution then you have to support the Second Amendment because that is the only way the citizens are guaranteed to keep their Constitutional rights. This was one of the reasons I first decided to support Gov. Palin over a year ago. Gun Owners of America, a truly outstanding organization, has released their 2008 Congressional and Presidential Voting Guide that has a good breakdown of Gov. Palin's history in regards to the Second Amendment. Here are a couple of paragraphs:

Under Gov. Palin's administration, Alaska signed on to a multi-state amicus brief in support of the Second Amendment in the Supreme Court case regarding the Washington, D.C. gun ban. "We need to send a strong message that law-abiding citizens have a right to own firearms, for personal protection, for hunting and for any other lawful purpose," she said in a statement.

The Court ruled, in D.C. v. Heller, that the Second Amendment protects an individual right. Gov. Palin praised the Supreme Court decision as "a victory for... individual Americans."

Palin campaigned on a pro-gun platform when she ran for mayor of the town of Wasilla. Palin defeated an entrenched incumbent, who grumbled that residents were unduly influenced by the gun issue. The Wasilla police chief complained that Palin fired him in 1997 because he opposed Alaska's law recognizing the right of Alaskans to carry concealed firearms. [read more]

Who's The Parent? The School Or You?

So, if you have children, more than likely you believe the way I do; that you have the right to teach your children your moral values. Well, apparently not in Massachusetts or any state that makes gay marriage legal. A Catholic Mom In Hawaii sent me this video. Take the time to watch it and inform yourself and then get involved. Remember, we all have a voice, but we have to use it.

This is yet another reason why this election is so important. A vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin is a vote for parental rights and traditional values. A vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden is a vote for socialism and government intrusion. Every parent should decide what to teach their children, not the government.

Catholic League News Release

In the October 19 edition of the News Journal
, Joe Biden offered his thoughts on faith and values. The Delaware daily also printed a 2007 interview with the Democratic VP candidate on the subject of abortion; it was not previously published.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue criticizes Biden’s views today:

“In his latest interview with the
News Journal
, Biden says, ‘I accept my Church’s teaching on when life begins. But we live in a society where a large number of people don’t agree with that position.’ This is true and much the same could be said about racism: The Catholic Church calls racism ‘intrinsically evil’ and supports laws that criminalize it. Biden agrees with this Church teaching and has no problem imposing his view on ‘a large number of people [who] don’t agree with that position.’ But when it comes to abortion, which the Church also labels ‘intrinsically evil,’ Biden demurs. To explain this glaring inconsistency, consider what Biden said in his earlier interview with the newspaper.

“Biden declared that ‘my church has wrestled with this [abortion] for 2,000 years.’ Wrong—the wrestling match he envisions is pure fantasy. The
Catholic Catechism
clearly states that ‘Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and is unchangeable.’

“Biden also said that ‘throughout the church’s history, we’ve argued whether or not it [abortion] is wrong in every circumstance and the degree of wrong.’ Wrong—as the Secretariat for Pro-Life Activities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops recently said, ‘modern science has not changed the Church’s constant teaching against abortion, but has underscored how important and reasonable it is….’

“Biden dug himself in deeper when he opined that ‘One of my avocations is theology,’ boasting that ‘I’m a John XXIII guy, I’m not a Pope John Paul guy.’ Well, someone should tell ‘Joe the Theologian’ that John XXIII was every bit as anti-abortion as that ‘other guy,’ JPII.”

Liberal Media Attacks Palin Again - On Petty Things The Dems Do Too

Can you believe the idiocy of the media asking questions like this?

RNC Spends Thousands on Palin Clothes - Is There Anything Wrong With That?

They conduct a completly biased poll trying to make it out like this is a negative thing. Since when is it wrong for the RNC to spend its money where it sees fit, you know - like the DNC does. I guarantee the RNC is much thriftier.

There have also been grumblings about Palin's family travel being covered. Show me a Democrat who never charges family travel (who actually has a family) and I will show you a freak of nature.

The media needs to shut up and put up where the Republican Party is concerned. Any insult or attack they fling our way is 100 times more true with the liberals. We won't sit down and take it anymore.

More Good News On The Russia Front

Russia appears ready to supply Venezuela with T-72 Main Battle Tanks. This could further embolden Venezuela and it is yet more proof of why we cannot afford on-the-job training for Barack Obama. We need someone who is instantly credible and has the right policies for protecting our Republic. Here is some of what John McCain would do on national security:

Increasing the Size of the American Military

The most important weapons in the U.S. arsenal are the men and women of American armed forces. John McCain believes we must enlarge the size of our armed forces to meet new challenges to our security. For too long, we have asked too much of too few - with the result that many service personnel are on their second, third and even fourth tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. There can be no higher defense priority than the proper compensation, training, and equipping of our troops.

Our existing force is overstretched by the combination of military operations in the broader Middle East and the need to maintain our security commitments in Europe and Asia. Recruitment and retention suffer from extended overseas deployments that keep service personnel away from their homes and families for long periods of time.

John McCain believes that the answer to these challenges is not to roll back our overseas commitments. The size and composition of our armed forces must be matched to our nation's defense requirements. As requirements expand in the global war on terrorism so must our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard be reconfigured to meet these new challenges. John McCain thinks it is especially important to increase the size of the Army and Marine Corps to defend against the threats we face today.

John McCain knows that the most difficult and solemn decision a president must make is sending young Americans into harm's way. Having experienced firsthand the brutality of war, as president, John McCain would never make the decision to use force lightly, only when the cause is just, and our nation's values and interests absolutely demand it.

Modernizing the Armed Services

Modernizing American armed forces involves procuring advanced weapons systems that will help rapidly and decisively defeat any adversary and protect American lives. It also requires addressing force protection needs to make sure that America's combat personnel have the best safety and survivability equipment available.

Modernizing the armed forces also means adapting our doctrine, training, and tactics for the kind of conflicts we are most likely to face. Today, American forces are engaged in dangerous operations throughout the world. From Iraq and Afghanistan to Somalia and the Philippines, American forces are fighting the battles of the 21st century against terrorists and insurgents. These asymmetric conflicts require a very different force structure than the one we used to fight and win the Cold War.

The missions of the 21st century will not center on traditional territorial defense or mass armor engagements. Instead, the men and women of the U.S. armed forces will be engaged in, among other things, counter insurgency, counter terrorism, missile defense, counter proliferation and information warfare. This calls not just for a larger and more capable military, but for a new mix of military forces, including civil affairs, special operations, and highly mobile forces capable of fighting and prevailing in the conflicts America faces.

Smarter Defense Spending

John McCain has worked aggressively to reform the defense budgeting process to ensure that America enjoys the best military at the best cost. This includes reforming defense procurement to ensure the faithful and efficient expenditure of taxpayer dollars that are made available for defense acquisition. Too often, parochial interests - rather than the national interest - have guided our spending decisions. John McCain supports significant reform in our defense acquisition process to ensure that dollars spent actually contribute to U.S. security.

John McCain also feels strongly that our nation's military spending, except in time of genuine emergency, must be funded by the regular appropriations process, not by "emergency" supplementals that allow defense to be funded outside the normal budget cycle. This process gives Congressional committees less ability to closely scrutinize defense budget requests to ensure military funding is being budgeted wisely. It makes possible Congressional pork-barrel spending that diverts scarce defense resources to parochial home-state interests. And it allows the administration to add spending above that set by budget caps, bloating the federal deficit. Budgeting annually through emergency supplemental appropriation bills encourages pork barrel spending. The American taxpayer has a right to expect us to get the most out of each and every defense dollar, especially at a time when those dollars are so critical. Throughout his career, John McCain has fought pork-barrel defense spending that diverts scarce defense resources to parochial, home-state projects rather than addressing the needs of service personnel. He believes that unauthorized earmarks drain our precious defense resources and adversely affect our national security. John McCain will continue to fight pork-barrel spending to ensure that military funds are spent where they are needed most - in support of our military personnel and our national defense. More Proof The Polls Are Not Accurate

It appears that Gov. Ed Rendell doesn't think the 13 point lead the polls are giving Obama in his state are accurate. At least that is how I take this article. I have been saying I feel we will have an electoral landslide victory this November and I still believe it.

The good people of Pennsylvania have been called racist, rednecks, and bitter clingers to their guns and religion by the Democrats. They don't need any other reason to vote for McCain/Palin, but they have several such as McCain/Palin's support for life and the Second Amendment.

With the support of Pennsylvania we would be guaranteed victory and be on the path of reigning in Washington and cutting the size of government.

Who Will Control Space?

Russia plans on increasing it's investment in space, so don't you think we need to elect a President who takes our commitment in space seriously? Here is where McCain stands:

America's Space Program

"Let us now embark upon this great journey into the stars to find whatever may await us."

-John McCain

John McCain: For the past 50 years, space activities have contributed greatly to US scientific discovery, national security, economic development, and national innovation, pride and power (the ultimate example of which was the U.S. victory over the Soviets in the race to the moon). Spurred on by the Soviet Union's launch of Sputnik, the world's first satellite, and the concern that the U.S was falling behind in science and technology, U.S. policymakers enacted several policy actions to firmly establish the U.S. dominance in science and technology. Among them were the establishment of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the national Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), increased research funding, and a reformulation of the nation's science and technology education system.

Today, more than 50 years after Sputnik, the US faces a very different world. The end of the Cold War and the space race has greatly reduced the profile of space exploration as a point of national pride and an emblem of U.S. power and thus created some degree of "mission-rut" for NASA. At the same time, the scientific community views the use of space as an important observation platform for advancing science by increasing our understanding of the solar system and the universe. In addition, our recent comprehension of the Earth's changing climate is based on data that we have received from our weather and Earth observation satellites. Much of our communications infrastructure is dependent upon space based assets that are essential to the quality of our everyday lives and the economy.

China, Russia, India, Japan and Europe are all active players in space exploration. Both Japan and China launched robotic lunar orbiters in 2007. India is planning to launch a lunar orbiter later this year. The European Space Agency (ESA) is looking into a moon-lander, but is more focused on Mars. China also is actively pursuing a manned space program and, in 2003, became only the third country after the USSR and the US to demonstrate the capability to send man to space. China is developing plans for a manned lunar mission in the next decade and the establishment of a lunar base after 2020.

Activity within the commercial sector continues to increase beyond the traditional role of launching satellites. In 2007, the X-Prize Foundation announced a prize of $30 million in a global competition to build the first robotic rover capable of landing on the Moon. Several companies are planning to develop and build spacecraft for space tourism. [

As reported in today’s
New York Times
, on October 17 the City Council Chamber in New York’s City Hall was the venue of a celebratory event recognizing the Muslim holiday Id al-Fitr; it marks the end of Ramadan. The program was sponsored by City Councilman John Liu.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded this way:

“So now we have the legislative body of the New York City government paying tribute to a Muslim religious observance. Where are all the church-and-state zealots who go bonkers every time ‘Silent Night’ is sung in the schools? A Pakistani-born imam certainly did not speak for Catholics when he bellowed how tolerant New York is: Unlike Muslims, who are allowed to put their religious symbols in the schools in December (Jews are afforded the same right), Catholics are denied the right to do so. Though the courts have decided that this is not illegal (as long as secular symbols are not denied), they have also made it clear that the schools could allow a crèche, for instance, if they wanted.

“We will now write to every one of those Islam-friendly City Council members asking them to practice their much vaunted ideal of inclusion: They can demonstrate how Christian-friendly they are by giving us Catholics the same rights as Muslims. And we won’t even ask them to throw us a party in their Chambers.”

Contact Councilman John Liu and ask him to introduce legislation that would allow Catholics to display a crèche at Christmastime:

McCain-Palin Campaign Announces Florida's "Joe the Plumbers"

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- The McCain-Palin presidential campaign today announced its own group of Florida "Joe the Plumbers."

The original "Joe the Plumber" is Joe Wurzelbacker, a plumber from Ohio. When Joe expressed his frustrations with Senator Obama's plans to tax the "wealthy," Senator Obama replied by saying it's important to "spread the wealth around." In the final presidential debate, Joe the Plumber became a symbol of the economic troubles crippling the United States.

These Florida "Joes" are outraged that Senator Obama wants to raise their taxes so he can pay for his government-mandated health care system and other big government programs. Each of these small business owners has expressed support for John McCain's pro-growth plan to keep taxes low, which will benefit all Americans by stimulating new job growth, keeping good jobs here at home and getting our economy back on the right track.

Anyone interested in joining the Florida "Joes" can contact the campaign via e-mail at or through the "Joe the Plumber" Hotline at 850-391-3304. [read more]

Statement from Senator McCain and Governor Palin on an Economic Stimulus

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin issued the following statement concerning proposals for a new economic stimulus:

"We are deeply concerned about our nation's economic outlook and will support measures that improve the outlook for American families. This economic crisis has its roots in the housing market and the most effective stimulus will be to reverse the cycle of foreclosure, neighborhood blight, and falling housing values. The American Homeownership Resurgence Plan is the best kind of stimulus.

"The Democrat-controlled Congress will likely propose additional measures. We do not believe that a national crisis should be taken as a license for wasteful spending or earmarked projects. Each new proposal must pass on the grounds that it is timely, effective in supporting business sales and job creation, and consistent with long-term fiscal discipline.

"In the past, raising taxes and cutting off international trade have only served to make hard economic times worse. We oppose harmful attempts to just 'spread the wealth.' Our job-creating economic plan is the best path for the economy and includes the types of policies that the Congress should consider."

Washington, D.C. (20 October 2008) – An American Life League supporter and Purdue University student is taking the Diocese of Lafayette, Indiana to task for condoning St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church's participation, along with Planned Parenthood of Indiana, in OUToberfest 2008, a gay pride event.

Naomi Whittaker, ALL supporter and senior neural biology and physiology major at Purdue University, wrote to the diocese Oct. 10 expressing concern over the OUToberfest 2008: Tippecanoe County Pride Celebration to be held Oct. 11. The event marked National Coming Out Day.

"I respectfully request that St. Thomas Aquinas be held responsible to the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, Whittaker requested in the letter, "Please let me know if there is anything more I can do to protect the sanctity of the Catholic Church's teachings,".

On Oct. 13, Bishop William L. Higi responded to Whittaker through Rev. Msgr. Robert L Sell.

"…the participation of the parish was in conjunction with other Christian Churches of the area who were reaching out in solidarity to homosexual persons as children of Our Loving God." Sell said. "He (the parish pastor) assured me that this effort was not condoning a particular lifestyle or choice, but was seeking to join other Christian Denominations who participated in the event in an effort to demonstrate to homosexual persons the outreach and concern that our Faith has for them."

American Life League has written to request the diocese issue a written statement to dispel confusion over the Catholic Church's teaching on abortion and homosexuality

"It is absolutely outrageous for a Catholic church to stand alongside Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, and give implicit endorsement of an event and lifestyle antithetical to the Catholic faith," said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League.

Among the registered participants at the event, St. Thomas Church, the parish serving Purdue University, was listed alongside Planned Parenthood of Indiana, Purdue Queer Student Union, Pride Lafayette, Inc., and Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays among others.

The event featured a drag show and a myriad of gay and lesbian workshops for children.

"St. Thomas Aquinas' participation, alongside Planned Parenthood, in this event is a scandal," Sedlak said. "At a time when many Catholics are faithfully trying to close down Planned Parenthood facilities in the state, this partnering with Planned Parenthood by a diocesan parish is outrageous. We implore Bishop Higi to take immediate action to publicly acknowledge the error made in this participation, and to reaffirm that no diocesan entity should ever join Planned Parenthood at any event."

Joe Biden: The McCain Campaign's Best Friend

Posted by Bobby Eberle
October 21, 2008 at 6:32 am

...Obama has no foreign policy experience and is not ready. Thankfully, Obama picked Sen. Joe Biden as his running mate. This gives Biden plenty of time at the podium and plenty of opportunities to open his mouth. At a speech on Monday, he reminded everyone what the consequences will be by putting a foreign policy novice in charge of the world's strongest military...

During a speech in Seattle, Biden said, "Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking." Biden added, "Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough -- I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur."

Chuck Norris On The Personality Flaws Of Obama

A Personality Profile of Barack Obama's Leadership
by Chuck Norris

Obama will not lose his bid for the presidency because of his connections to Ayers, ACORN or socialist politics. In fact, he won't lose it because of his stand on any issue. The coup de grace for Obama's presidential election downfall will come only through convincing the American public of his lack of decisive leadership under pressure. I'm not just talking about facing rogue nations or terrorist thugs. I'm referring to making major choices in conflict. Indecisiveness is his greatest weakness, and it's one this country cannot afford at this time in its history.

Pulls On The Polls

There has been a history of various polls over the years projecting bigger votes for the Democrats' presidential candidate in October than that candidate actually gets in November.

Some of these polls seem like they are not trying to report facts but to create an impression. One poll has been reported as using a sample consisting of 280 Republicans and 420 Democrats. No wonder Obama leads in a poll like that.

Catholic League News Release

On today’s episode of “Ellen,” Joe Biden told Ellen DeGeneres “that if I lived in California, I would vote against Proposition 8.” This initiative reads, “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.” Yet in his debate with Sarah Palin on October 2, Biden said that “Barack Obama nor I support redefining from a civil side what constitutes marriage.”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue weighed in on this today:

“Proposition 8 is a civil initiative that would secure marriage as an institution that is exclusively between a man and a woman, and Joe Biden told Ellen DeGeneres that he is opposed to that measure. In other words, Biden did not tell the truth in his debate with Sarah Palin. He cannot logically be opposed to both gay marriage and Proposition 8, but that is exactly what he is trying to get away with. More important, Biden is openly defying both the pope and the bishops.

“Last year, in his Apostolic Exhortation
Sacramentum Caritatis, Pope Benedict XVI pointedly said the following about people like Joe Biden: ‘Worship pleasing to God can never be a purely private matter…it is especially incumbent upon those who, by virtue of their social or political position, must make decisions regarding fundamental values such as respect for human life, its defence from conception to natural death, the family built upon marriage between a man and a woman....These values are not negotiable.
’ (My emphasis.)

“Last year, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued
Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship
wherein it said that the family based on marriage between a man and a woman ‘should be defended and strengthened, not redefined or undermined by permitting same-sex unions or other distortions of marriage.’

“Biden is in a major jam. He needs to hold a press conference explaining his irreconcilable moral positions, and why he has chosen to defy the pope and the bishops.”

Catholic League News Release

Catholic League president Bill Donohue exposes the nexus between George Soros and two left-wing Catholic groups, Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Catholics United:

“In 2003, after left-wing mogul George Soros blamed Jews for anti-Semitism, the ADL branded his comments ‘obscene.’ Two years later, I accused him of anti-Catholicism when his group,, posted a picture of a smiling Pope Benedict XVI holding a gavel outside the U.S. Supreme Court, along with the following inscription:
‘God Already Has a Job…He does not need one on the Supreme Court.’

“Why is this relevant? Because this same bigot is connected to two apologists for abortion rights, Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Catholics United. In 2006, Soros’ Open Society Institute gave Catholics in Alliance $100,000 (double the amount he gave in 2005), and in the same year Catholics in Alliance listed Catholics United on its 990 as an organization with which it has a formal relationship. John Podesta, who runs the Soros-funded organization, Center for American Progress, admits that he works closely with Catholics in Alliance and Catholics United. The Center for American Progress is also the sponsor of Faith and Public Life.

“Why would any Catholic organization take money from a man like George Soros? Because legitimate sources of revenue aren’t available? And why would Soros have any interest in funding Catholic groups? He doesn’t give the Catholic League any money, and if he offered, I would refuse it.

“The reason Soros funds the Catholic Left is the same reason he lavishly funds Catholics for Choice, the pro-abortion group that has twice been condemned as a fraud by Catholic bishops: they all service his agenda, namely, to make support for abortion rights a respectable Catholic position. On October 17, Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput accused Catholics in Alliance and Catholics United as doing a ‘disservice’ to the Catholic Church. He’s right. And now we know what really makes them tick.”

Obama's Funding In Question - Foreign Sources A Possibility

Obama’s Secret Campaign Cash: Has $63 Million Flowed from Foreign Sources?

Sunday, October 19, 2008 6:28 PM

By: Kenneth R. Timmerman

As Barack Obama reaped a stunning $150 million in campaign donations in September, bringing his total to more than $600 million, new questions have arisen about the source of his amazing funding.

By Obama’s own admission, more than half of his contributions have come from small donors giving $200 or less. But unlike John McCain’s campaign, Obama won’t release the names of these donors.

A Newsmax canvass of disclosed Obama campaign donors shows worrisome anomalies, including outright violations of federal election laws.

A Report From The Front Lines Of Wisconsin On The Presidential Election

This week appears to have been a good week for the McCain/Palin campaign. Apparently there are automated calls from Gov. Palin in our area asking people to volunteer to go door to door and we had 7 people come in to sign up for it just in the couple of hours I was volunteering this Saturday. What I found especially exciting was that none of these people had previously volunteered. I also had several unregistered voters come in to find out how to register to vote. If we get a good turn out at the polls we can definitely make Wisconsin a red state this November 4th.

Hopefully you caught McCain's radio address this week because it was a great repudiation of Obama's socialist policies if you did not hear it, and more than likely you didn't, click here. The campaign also released a much needed clarification of the McCain/Palin health care plan. This was badly needed because Obama has been hammering McCain's health care plan nonstop in Wisconsin and I am sure elsewhere.

Gov. Palin's appearance on Saturday Night Live was a complete rating success. I thought it was pretty funny, though putting up with all the liberals was pretty hard to take. The Governor also continues to motivate the base on the campaign trail, including this stop in New Hampshire.

Even the polls are starting to swing in our favor. McCain is now routinely down 2 or 3, within the margin of error. Even Obama has to be worried about this article. While I don't trust any of the polls, I trust what I am seeing on the ground and that is an energized base and a blessing of first time supporters who are eager to vote and volunteer; we just have to keep spreading the word until Election Day because the media will do everything they can to disenfranchise us and help elect Obama/Biden.
