Special Election Message From Wayne LaPierre And Chris W. Cox

Friday, October 31, 2008

This long campaign season is down to its final days. Next Tuesday, the American people will make their choice. It is more important than ever that every gun owner and everyone who values our liberties, takes action to protect the future of our Second Amendment rights. The threat is real, and the consequences of this election will be felt for years to come.

In 2000 and 2004, American gun owners rose to the occasion and defeated tough, seasoned opponents of the Second Amendment -- Al Gore and John Kerry. And those opponents got craftier each election cycle in camouflaging their true beliefs about gun ownership.

Today, we face a different challenge. Barack Obama has such a long, openly anti-gun record that he cannot hide his true stance. All he can do is try to paper it over with platitudes. "If you've got a gun in your house, I'm not taking it," Obama says on the campaign trail, although he voted in Illinois to do just that. And he goes on to admit the real obstacle: "Even if I wanted to take it away, I couldn't get it done. I don't have the votes in Congress."

In contrast, we have John McCain and Sarah Palin. Make no mistake about it, the best hope to protect the Second Amendment is the election of John McCain. Sen. McCain has a strong record of supporting the Second Amendment, and Gov. Palin would be a stellar new voice for gun owners in Washington. [

Statement On Barack Obama Hedging On Foreign Policy

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, U.S. Senator John McCain issued the following statement concerning Barack Obama's hedging on foreign policy and Iran:

"Earlier today, when asked about efforts to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, Senator Obama said he might apply tougher sanctions -- 'potentially.' I have called for tougher sanctions against Iran for years. I have supported tougher sanctions during this campaign that Barack Obama opposed, and if elected, I would work to lead an international effort to put tougher sanctions in place -- not potentially but actually. Senator Obama last year opposed legislation with broad bipartisan support that called for tougher sanctions on Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for its terrorist activities. Senator Obama was also asked today about capturing Osama bin Laden -- he said he would 'try him, apply the death penalty to him where it is necessary.' I do not know why Senator Obama would have any doubt that it is necessary. There is no one more deserving of execution than Osama bin Laden. If he survives capture, the death penalty would be necessar y, just and appropriate. Senator Obama continues to hedge his bets on national security issues showing his inexperience and weakness. Senator Obama's comments demonstrate once again that America cannot afford untested leadership when facing the threats posed by Iran and Osama bin Laden." [

Statement on Barack Obama's Visit to Northwest Indiana

ARLINGTON, VA -- McCain-Palin 2008 Indiana Co-Chairman Luke Messer issued the following statement in conjunction with Senator Barack Obama's campaign appearance in Lake County, Indiana.

"It is fitting that Barack Obama chose Halloween for his latest visit to Indiana, because he masquerades as a moderate when in reality he is the most liberal presidential candidate in modern history. He masks his plan to 'spread the wealth around' with massive tax increases by calling it a 'tax credit,' all the while proposing a trillion dollars in spending on new government programs.

"As Hoosiers peer beyond Barack Obama's smooth rhetoric, they see a candidate who does not represent traditional Hoosier values. John McCain is the only candidate for president who supports lower taxes, smaller government and has the record of reform to truly shake up Wall Street and Washington."

McCain-Palin Campagin Launches Honest and Open Election Hotline

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, the McCain-Palin campaign launched the Honest and Open Election hotline to help citizens learn the location of their polling place, as well as report any instances of irregularities at the polls, including voter fraud, intimidation, violence and electioneering. The hotline can be accessed via phone at: 866-976-VOTE.

"With November 4th quickly approaching, our Honest and Open Election hotline will serve as an informative guide for all Americans participating in the electoral process," said McCain-Palin National Political Director Mike DuHaime. "The hotline will allow us to learn about and take steps toward remedying any voter irregularities at polling places across the country. While we are hopeful that Election Day will be free of any wrongdoing, allies of the Democrat Party, such as ACORN, have shown a willingness to commit fraud in both this election cycle and in 2004. Given the tightness of the polls, all examples of fraud must be addressed to preserve the integrity of the election."

In 2004, multiple forms of voter fraud occurred, including voter intimidation, fraudulent registrations, multiple ballots cast and votes bought for money. Already during the 2008 election cycle, a dead woman in Missouri cast an absentee ballot, individuals were arrested for voting twice in Florida and people in Ohio registered and voted on the same day.

Witch Head Nebula

As the name implies, this reflection nebula associated with the star Rigel looks suspiciously like a fairytale crone. Formally known as IC 2118 in the constellation Orion, the Witch Head Nebula glows primarily by light reflected from the star. The color of this very blue nebula is caused not only by blue color of its star, but also because the dust grains reflect blue light more efficiently than red. A similar physical process causes Earth's daytime sky to appear blue.

ELECTION ISSUES SPARK VITRIOLIC RESPONSE

The Catholic Church’s opposition to abortion, and its endorsement of the pro-marriage resolution in California, Proposition 8, has triggered an avalanche of criticism, much of it vitriolic. Here is a sampling:

· The
National Catholic Reporter
blasts all the bishops—“Not one among the bishops has had the courage”—to take on pro-life Catholics who have allegedly “distorted” the abortion issue
· Rabbi Brad Hirschfield criticizes Cardinal Egan for being anti-abortion, saying, “We need to stop litmus testing each other over single issues” like abortion. “We”?
· Catholics for Choice says that pro-abortion Catholics “are in good company, and in good conscience” for rejecting the Church’s teaching on this subject
· Rev. Daniel Kanter, a Unitarian, says the Catholic Church “employs a measure of fear” to get Catholics to oppose abortion
· Rev. Jonathan Tran, a Baptist, opines, “If the Church doesn’t tell us what to do with our ballots…and genitalia, who will?” “Us”?
· Professor Frank K. Flinn says the Catholic Church has not always been opposed to abortion, implying that the
Catholic Catechism
, the bishops and the pope are all wrong
· Rev. Geoffrey Farrow, a gay priest, says the Catholic Church’s opposition to gay marriage represents a “hurtful” theology
· Atheos, a musician, says Proposition 8 “is nothing but Bigotry—good ol’ Christian bigotry”
·
Los Angeles Times
writer Steve Lopez says that “Speaking up for the dignity of gay people must be a greater sin than being accused of molesting minors”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue responds as follows:

“Even worse are American Atheists, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the Freedom from Religion Foundation. All accuse the Catholic Church of abusing its power by favoring Proposition 8, yet none says anything about the
more than 100 houses of worship and religious organizations which oppose it. Their hypocrisy is appalling.”

Hillary Clinton Supporters And Women For McCain Leadership React To Barack Obama's Attack Ad "His Choice"

ARLINGTON, VA -- McCain-Palin 2008 today released the following statements from former Hillary Clinton supporters and Women for McCain leadership in reaction to Barack Obama's sexist attack ad "His Choice":

VIRGINIA

Judy Black, National Co-Chair, Women for McCain: "Enough is enough! Senator Obama has stooped to a new low in his constant attacks on Governor Palin with his new ad titled, 'His Choice.' Barack Obama's choice has been to attack, demean and ridicule women, first Sen. Clinton and now Gov. Palin. American women do not need any more of Obama's sexist choices or attacks. John McCain made the choice to put a strong leader with a proven record forward as his running mate. As a woman, I am outraged by the over-the-top treatment of Gov. Palin and I urge all women to reject the double standard put forward by a man who was just a state senator in Illinois three years ago by voting McCain-Palin this Tuesday."

Patty Denton, Washington County Republican Chairwoman: "We, as a country, should be past the days in which women were treated as inferior. Women are the backbone of this country. It's disappointing for Senator Obama, who has proclaimed change' as his mantra, to disregard the monumental progress women have made in this country. Governor Palin is an exceptional leader and has fought on the side of all Americans, regardless of race or gender. These types of ads show that the Obama campaign is willing to do anything to score a few political cheap shots at the expense of women. On November 4th, women will go to the polls and demand respect for themselves and their daughters from the type of negative attacks perpetrated by Senator Obama."

MISSOURI

Representative Jo Ann Emerson: "With more executive experience than Barack Obama and Joe Biden combined, Governor Sarah Palin holds her own on the national scene and embodies the values that Americans want in those who will lead our country. This ad is just one more example of the constant attacks from the Obama-Biden campaign. With each attack, they attempt to dismiss the intelligent, qualified, and experienced woman who will soon become our next Vice-President of the United States."

Sharon Barnes, Missouri State Chair Women for McCain: "These attacks on Governor Sarah Palin show the desperation of the Democratic Party to try to stem the overwhelming support for the maverick Republican team of John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin - a team dedicated to bringing about the right kind of change for the people of this country. The voters of this great nation will not be fooled. Gov. Palin is a proven leader and serious reformer with experience in economics, defense and foreign policy that the Democratic candidate for president can only wish he had."

CALIFORNIA

Shelly Mandell, President of Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women: "I am outraged by the new ad put out by Barack Obama. It is sexist and demeaning to women. These tactics started with Hillary Clinton and continue, growing even more disgusting with Gov. Palin. I was a Hillstar for Hillary and an avid supporter. Trashing two women clearly in a sexist manner in one election is an outrage and must be identified and stopped. There must be consequences. Let female Obama supporters take a good look at this and still believe their candidate supports women's rights and women's dignity."

Prameela Bartholomeusz, DNC Platform Committee Member: "I am once again stunned at the personal and sexist attacks by the Obama campaign against Gov. Palin. This latest ad is sexist and offensive. The Gov. of Alaska has been managing and balancing a budget of $10 billion; I think she knows a bit about economics. Sen. Obama never spoke up against sexism during the primary season, and is not speaking out against misogyny during this phase of the election season -- he is contributing to it. I have no confidence that Sen. Obama will fight for women's issues if elected. This sets women back decades."

PENNSYLVANIA

Christine J. Toretti, PA Women For McCain Co-Chair, PA National Committeewoman: "Vice presidential running mate, Sarah Palin, is an experienced public servant. As governor of Alaska and as mayor of Wasilla she proved to be an effective leader and businesswoman. Senator Obama's baseless attack on Governor Palin is preposterous. God forbid a leader is not only competent, but beautiful and wears a skirt!"

Bernie Comfort, Pennsylvania Women for McCain State Chair: "Senator Obama's ad simply mocks Governor Palin. The real truth is Gov. Palin has experience dealing with the economy as an executive running the state of Alaska and as a business owner. She is the experienced leader we need to lead this country with John McCain."

Stephanie Bressler, Ph.D, Hillary Clinton supporter, University of Scranton women and politics professor: "It's a sexist example of reducing a woman to an object - a wink - and denying her a voice. Her lips are actually moving, but she's not allowed to be heard."

OHIO

Barbara Rosier-Tryon, Member of the Warren Republican Women's Club: "This is yet another sexist cheap shot on Gov. Palin's image from the Obama-Biden campaign. Sarah Palin's record of reform and experience as governor of Alaska and commander of the state's National Guard is more distinguished than Barack Obama's one and only term in the U.S. Senate."

NORTH CAROLINA

Martha Jenkins, North Carolina Women for McCain State Chairman: "Barack Obama chose Joe Biden to make up for his own lack of foreign policy expertise. He has absolutely no reason to criticize McCain's pick of Palin. Gov. Palin is infinitely more qualified than Barack Obama. In running this ad, Obama is acknowledging that Gov. Palin is an effective and a positive part of John McCain's candidacy; otherwise, why focus on her at all? Barack Obama is using this ad to divert attention from the fact that the American public is realizing that Obama is just as radical as his associates, and that he lacks the experience and judgment to be President of the United States."

FLORIDA

Albert Chang, Regional Director of Citizens for McCain, a group that includes Democrats and Independents: "We look forward to winning Tampa and the surrounding counties for McCain-Palin. This ad is a distracting personal attack on an experienced executive and the voters of Florida will see through it. This campaign will remain focused on issues impacting the everyday lives of Floridians and Americans."

Mary Calderon, Tampa, former Senator Clinton supporter: "I'm disappointed that Senator Obama has resorted to personal attacks at this point in the campaign. Would any male candidate for vice president of the United States be afforded similar treatment by the Obama campaign? I would say not."

INDIANA

Judy Singleton, Indiana Women for McCain Co-Chair: "Obama seems to have a problem with strong, smart women. Ask Hillary. Running an ad like this is an affront to talented women everywhere. To imply that Gov. Palin doesn't understand economics because she's pretty and winks is ridiculous. As a governor, she's proved she understands the economy better than Barack Obama, who hasn't completed his first term in the Senate, does. All one has to do is look at her record of leadership on economic development and then look at his."

NEW YORK

Amy Siskind, Ambassador for Hillary: "When Senator Hillary Clinton was demeaned and degraded during the Presidential Primary, many of us of, myself included, vowed 'never again'. The treatment of Governor Palin by both the main stream media, and now the Obama Campaign, shows that the misogyny fest is alive and well in our country. There has been a complete and utter smear job of our fellow citizen, Sarah Palin, who is only trying to serve her country."

Statement On The GDP Number

VA -- Today, Doug Holtz-Eakin, McCain-Palin 2008 Senior Policy Adviser, issued the following statement on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) number:

"Today's announcement that third quarter GDP fell at a 0.3 percent rate confirms what Americans already knew: the economy is shrinking. Barack Obama would accelerate this dangerous course. According to the independent Center for Data Analysis, Barack Obama's new policies will destroy nearly 6 million jobs over the next decade.

"Barack Obama's ideologically-driven plans to redistribute income will impose higher taxes on families, small businesses, and investors; expensive, rigid, job-killing health mandates on employers; energy policies that fail to promote domestic oil, natural gas, and coal, and will impose a massive Washington-driven regulation of everything from home furnaces to factories; isolationist trade policies that endanger one out of every five jobs; and massive new spending plans that that will burden the economy and saddle our children with debt. Barack Obama is change Americans cannot afford.

"John McCain's comprehensive reforms will clean up Wall Street, clean up Washington, and create nearly 2 million more jobs over the same period. John McCain offers a new direction and a real choice: lower taxes and under control spending; lower health care costs and portable insurance; an energy policy that declares independence from dangerous and unstable sources, values the environment, and supports growth; serious reforms to taxes, education, and trade to promote global competitiveness, and short-run plans to help the seniors, savers, homeowners, and workers hurt by the financial crisis."

I Am Not Impressed, NASA

Some good news out of NASA Ares may be operational sooner than originally thought. Unfortunately, this still leaves around 4 years between the shuttle going offline and the start up of Ares. This is yet another example of NASA underachieving. They have been talking about a shuttle replacement for years now and now that the time is almost upon us, they are not ready.

It is a national humiliation that we are going to have to rely on Russia to get to the international space station. This is just part of a larger problem at NASA; they have lost the ability to dream or lead. They are more concerned with so-called man made global warming than reaching for the heavens and attaining the unimaginable.

I hate to criticize NASA so often and I know there is a lot of good people doing incredibly good work, but the leadership has been inept for years. I want my kids to grow up dreaming of space exploration like I did and that is why I am so concerned.

CATHOLIC BASHERS OPPOSE PROPOSITION 4

On election day, Californians will vote on Proposition 4, a measure that requires minors to obtain parental notification before an abortion is performed; there is a provision for judicial override in unusual circumstances. Some of those opposed have engaged in Catholic bashing.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue addresses this issue today:

“Some of the Catholic bashing that has accompanied the crusade against Proposition 4 is subtle, and some of it is overt. The subtle variety is on display in news releases that continue to cite the Knights of Columbus as a donor in favor of the resolution: The Knights’ contribution is actually quite small, but by flagging the Catholic lay group, opponents are throwing a red flag to anti-Catholic bigots. This is exactly what we would expect of such groups as the ACLU, NOW, the Feminist Majority, Planned Parenthood and NARAL; their record of bigotry is quite long.

“Besides some anti-Catholic bloggers, opponents of parental rights conducted a demonstration on October 26 outside a Catholic church in Coronado; those coming and going to Mass were specifically singled out.

“A video on the subject, dubbed ‘Therapy’ by the Vote No on Proposition 4 activists, has two young men sitting on a couch discussing the issue. The pro-parental consent fellow, of course, is depicted as making his case based on emotion, not evidence. Worse, he confesses that he is trying to ‘impose [his] moral view on others’; he cites his reliance on the Bible.

“In actual fact, when Planned Parenthood recently appeared in court it couldn’t produce one factual case of a young girl who committed suicide because of a lack of parental consent. And it is not the pro-parental consent crowd which is imposing its moral views—it is those against the resolution.

“Now the Sierra Club is getting involved in stripping parents of their rights; it will hold a press conference today. So is this its message—less kids, less pollution? It admits that it is pro-abortion. What we didn’t know is that it is comfortable consorting with anti-Catholics.”

Remarks by Governor Sarah Palin on Achieving Strategic Energy Independence

October 29, 2008

ARLINGTON, VA -- Governor Sarah Palin today will deliver the following remarks as prepared for delivery in Toledo, OH, at 9:00 a.m. ET:

Thank you all very much. I appreciate the hospitality of Xunlight Energy, and all the people of Toledo. The folks at Xunlight are doing great work for this community and our country.

Every day, when there are no cameras around to draw attention to it, this company and others like it are engaged in the great enterprise of energy independence. And what we see here is just a glimpse of much bigger things to come. Solar power is one of many alternative energy sources that are changing our economy for the better. And one day they will change our economy forever.

All who work in pursuit of new and clean energy sources understand that America's energy problems do not go away when oil and gasoline prices fall, as they have in recent weeks. Oil today is running about 64 dollars a barrel -- less than half of what it was just a couple of months ago. And though this sudden drop in prices sure makes a difference for families across America, the dangers of our dependence on foreign oil are just as they were before.

The price of oil is declining largely because of the market's expectation of a broad recession that would lower demand. This is hardly a good sign of things to come, and should only add to our sense of urgency in gaining energy independence. When our economy recovers, and growth once again creates new demand, we could run into the same brick wall of rising oil and gasoline prices -- and now is the time to make sure that doesn't happen. In Washington, we can view this period of lower oil prices as just one more chance to make excuses -- and on the problem of energy security, we've heard enough excuses. Or we can view it as an opportunity to finally confront the problem.

In reality, volatile oil prices are just the most immediate consequence when foreign powers control our energy supplies. They are an economic symptom of a strategic problem. And prices will stabilize only when we have reached the great goal of energy security for America.

Achieving this objective will require a clean break not just from the energy policies of the current administration, but from thirty years' worth of failed policies in Washington. As in other challenges that confront our nation, we must shape events, and not simply manage crises. We must steer far clear of the errors and false assumptions that have marked the energy policies of nearly twenty Congresses and seven presidents. Some tasks will be the work of decades, and some the work of years. And they all will begin in the term of the next president.

For our part, John McCain and I are determined to set this country firmly on a path toward energy independence. America has the resources to achieve this vital goal. We certainly have the ingenuity. And if John McCain and I are elected, we will supply the political will to finally get it done.

In my experiences in Alaska, I have seen what American ingenuity can achieve if given a chance. As governor of a huge energy-producing state, and as chair of our state's oil and gas conservation commission, and chairman of the nation's Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, I've also seen how political pressures, special interests, and corporate abuses can work against the clear public interest in expanding our domestic energy supplies.

Alaska is the one of the most resource-rich places on earth. Yet for many years, our state's oil and gas wealth was the carefully guarded preserve of the political establishment -- the good ol' boys -- rewarded by a few big oil companies and through an oil services company that liked things just the way they were. As you may have seen in the news this week, Alaska's senior senator is not the first man to discover the hazards of getting too close to moneyed interests with agendas of their own.

For the people of Alaska and their representatives, it had been hard enough to persuade Congress to authorize construction of the original Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline. And when Congress finally acted in 1973, it approved the pipeline over the "No" votes of five senators, including a freshmen senator named Joe Biden.

For the next three decades, there had been talk of building another pipeline to transport cleaner, greener natural gas down to the Lower 48. But that's all it ever amounted to -- talk. And one of the main obstacles was big oil itself -- ExxonMobil and other companies.

Tax Talk - This Is What Obama Is Not Telling You

With all his double speak such as tax credits and spreading the wealth and claiming that those of you making $42,000 a year or more won't have your taxes raised I don't think Obama even knows what he is saying anymore.

Mr. Thomas Sowell gives it to you straight in a article at TownHall.com. Take the time to read it and educate yourself on the truth about Obama's tax plan. You might be in for more than you bargained for, or less depending how you look at it.

Why should we allow our economy to be taken over by socialists; it has been proven throughout history to not work. At least not for anyone who is not in the elite ruling class.

The Issue Of Illegal Immigration Has Not Gone Anywhere - Ignoring Something Doesn't Make It Go Away

"This poll shows the American people, no matter their politics or ethnicity, want public officials to enforce federal immigration laws. It is difficult to find any political issue that inspires such unanimity," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "The presidential candidates and the media have virtually ignored the illegal immigration issue in this campaign but it remains an important issue to voters. And the message from the American people on immigration is clear: Enforce the law. End sanctuary policies. And stop using tax dollars to help illegal aliens find illegal jobs." [read more]

Those who are hoping that this issue will just slip away are mistaken. It will come to a head again and it needs to be dealt with firmly and decisively. A pathway to citizenship will never be accepted by the people. This government needs to stop stealing from its American citizens to give to those who are illegally here and have no right to be here.

Our government simply needs to secure our borders and consistently and firmly enforce our immigration laws; if they would do this and leave the state's alone to deal with it in their own way, as is their right, there would not even be an illegal immigration issue.

Glenn Beck's Interviews With John McCain And Sarah Palin

Glenn Beck has had two really informative interviews; one with Gov. Palin and one with Sen. McCain. So, here is a portion of each and click the links at the end of each section to read the entire interviews. Remember, it is by informing ourselves that we will win over the socialist left.

Glenn's Interview with Gov. Palin:

GLENN: I don't know how America? ?what happened to us, Sarah, where you have a country that is willing to embrace socialism? Are we not embracing socialism with Barack Obama?

GOVERNOR PALIN: You know, maybe some voters have not realized what socialism entails and maybe young people brought up in some of the? ?under some of the curriculum in the schools are not quite aware that any hint at socialism really will punish productivity and hard work ethic and reward for that tough work ethic. Maybe just some voters aren't quite aware of where some of Barack Obama's, quote, tax cut programs could lead us, and it is a dangerous thing for our economy and for our country to be considering, though. We cannot flirt with this and now is not the time to experiment with, as Joe the plumber calls it, socialism. [read more]

Glenn's Interview with Sen. McCain:

GLENN: Okay, let me be frightened for you. I have to tell you, Senator McCain, in my business I have never seen anything like what this media has done to you, your campaign, Sarah Palin, and allowed Barack Obama and Joe Biden to get away with. There was a serious reporter. She was an assistant to Peter Jennings. Barbara West in Orlando, she asked a serious question. They have blackballed her. I am wildly concerned about the Fairness Doctrine coming back in and our freedom of speech being crushed. How is that not a frightening idea?

SENATOR McCAIN: Well, if you re -- try to reinstate this Fairness Doctrine, it will kill Glenn Beck, it will kill every program that has any controversy associated with it. Willing there's no doubt about that. But how about this card check thing where he supports that a union organizer can come to a person's home and say, hey, I want to sign you up to a union, right, okay? They are going to take away the secret ballot for people as far as where they want to join unions. This is a far left agenda that's being pursued and so as far as the media's concerned, I think what was terrible is them pulling their ads. If you don't ask the right questions, we'll pull our ads and we'll deprive you of revenues. That's a remarkable problem. [read more]

Obama's Support For Infanticide And Anti-Parent Stands

I am tired of people tip-toeing around the subject and playing the politically-correct game. Those who support or participate in infanticide should be dealt with as the criminals they are. It is time to put our feet down, stand our ground, and say no to anymore abortions. If you have any doubt about the crime abortion really is I recommend you watch the video link in this article. I warn you it is very graphic.

Being a pregnant mother made it excruciating, but I felt it was time to stop being squeamish and see it for myself. It will be quite some time before I get the images out of my mind. Those who can watch it and still support or participate in it are, in my opinion, criminals who have no place in a society that was founded upon Godly principles. No, we should not change as a nation to be tolerant, that is only going to bring God's wrath on us all.

Not only does Obama support this Holocaust, but wants to make sure no survivors live to tell about it. His campaign has even attacked an abortion survivor. Obama clearly does not support family values or the sanctity of life itself. This man has no business even being a candidate for President of the greatest Republic on Earth. It is an insult that liberals have degraded our nation so much that this spectacle is even allowed to continue. Obama calls people who question him racists and he is only a candidate; what do you think he will do if he is President?

With his redistribution stands, his beliefs that government can care for your children better than a parent, his terrorist ties, and his lack of compassion for the littlest most vulnerable victims in this Republic he has made himself ineligible for the Catholic vote. Obama stands for everything that is anti-Catholic. Don't let impostors who claim to be Catholic lull you into believing that you can vote for candidates with these agendas without being held accountable by the creator.

We, the people need to wake up and see what is right under our noses. Obama is anti-parent, anti-life, anti-Israel, anti-prosperity; he is anti-American no matter how you slice it. Yes, I am spitting fire right now and I am seriously holding back. We need to get back to the Constitution and to our Founding principles. We need to clean the liberal trash out of Washington and send conservatives who truly represent the people and the Constitution in their place.

Catholic Prayers

O Father of mankind,
who hast given unto me these my children,
and committed them to my charge to bring them up for Thee,
and to prepare them for everlasting life:
assist me with Thy heavenly grace,
that I may be able to fulfil this most sacred duty and stewardship.
Teach me both what to give and what to withhold;
when to reprove and when to forbear;
make me gentle, yet firm;
considerate and watchful;
and deliver me equally from the weakness of indulgence,
and the excess of severity;
and grant that, both by word and example,
I may be careful to lead them in the ways of wisdom and true pity,
so that at last I may, with them,
be admitted to the unspeakable joys of our true home in heaven,
in the company of the blessed Angels and Saints.

For immediate release
October 28, 2008

ARLINGTON, VA – K.C. McAlpin, executive director of ProEnglish a national organization which advocates for making English the official language of government, announced the organization is endorsing ballot measures in two states in the Nov. 4th general election.

“First we urge Missouri voters to vote ‘yes’ on constitutional amendment No. 1 that would make English the official language and put it in the state constitution,” McAlpin said. “Having official English in the constitution is important to protect it from being thrown out by activist judges who want to substitute their own rule for that of the people,” he added.

“Second, we urge Oregon voters to vote ‘yes’ on Initiative No. 58 to prohibit teaching public school students in a language other than English for longer than two years,” McAlpin said. “The self-serving bilingual education industry has raised millions of dollars to oppose Initiative 58 and keep Oregon’s non-English speaking school children in linguistic prison,” McAlpin noted saying this meant that the ‘Yes on 58’ advocates would be outspent 500 to 1.

McAlpin said despite the huge funding disadvantage he expected the common sense of Oregon voters to prevail, and he predicted that the measures in both Oregon and Missouri would win overwhelmingly.

Palin Backstabbers Should Beware Of The Barracuda - Her Bite Is Worse Than Her Bark

Apparently, Mitt Romney supporters are preparing for another Romney run for the Presidency and Sarah Palin is in their way. Once again RINO's show how willing they are to pave their way to power with their conservative counterparts.

There is a movement within the Romney supporters, to taint Palin's image and destroy any future run for the Presidency for her in preparation for a Romney run. Some even work for the McCain/Palin campaign. Talk about traitors to the Party; they should be putting their efforts and support behind the person that actually has a chance of winning instead of dividing the Party out of misguided greed.

Palin has been holding back, a bit too much for my taste; what got her where she is today was her knack for "cleaning house" politically and the trash definitely needs to be taken out. She is obviously restrained for the moment due to her position in regards to being the VP candidate, but that will not always be the case.

Some of us former Mitt Romney supporters believe Romney should consider a run for Senate and leave the Presidency to the real conservatives. While at one time we felt we had no other choice but to support him because Fred Thompson dropped out, when given the chance to chose between a true conservative and Romney we will always chose the true conservative and that is Sarah Palin.

Thank you to Jeremy for bringing the referenced article to my husband's attention.

America - Nation Of Terrorists?

I don't know about you, but when I think of America I think of the Republic fought for and founded by countless honorable and selfless men and women, I think of the founders and their faith in God, and their dream of a nation of freedom.

I don't generally think of America as a nation of terrorists, but after reading about Obama's attendance and farwell testimonial at a going away party for Rashid Khalidi, whos ties to terrorism are very deep (including ties to Yasser Arafat), I was mortified. This party was captured on videotape which was obtained by the Los Angeles Times who now refuses to release it to the public.

BTW, the party was hosted by the Arab American Action Network (AAAN). I think it is outrageous that we, as a nation, have allowed ourselves to become so infiltrated by terrorist illegals, professors, financial influences, and politicians that many are willing to elect a man they know has terrorist ties without even blinking. The Los Angeles Times has responded to readers demanding the release of the video tape with a firm NO!

Tell me why anyone would willingly destroy the greatest Republic of freedom in the world to become slaves to socialism?

Founding Fathers Quote

If we wish to be free, if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending, if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained _ we must fight!

Obama, The Supreme Court, And A Dooms Day Scenario

Many people have discussed Barack Obama's socialist agendas for America and the potential of three or four Supreme Court vacancies, but one thing my husband and I have not heard discussed that we have been talking about is a true Dooms Day scenario for our Republic. Quite simply, Barack Obama does not have to wait for any vacancies on the Court to take it over as the Constitution, in Article 3, gives Congress the authority to set the number of Supreme Court justices.

So if Barack Obama wins this November 4th and the Democrats retain control of the House and Senate they would only need to increase the number of justices on the Supreme Court to control all branches of our government; giving them the power to enact a devastating socialist agenda that would render America unrecognizable.

If this happens you can say goodbye to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, democracy, parental rights, and your freedom. There would be nothing to stop Obama and the Dems from turning our Republic into a dictatorship. This is not a far fetched nightmare, we have seen take overs of governments throughout history.

Good News For McCain/Palin In Wisconsin

Some may consider this a small thing, but I am excited. In 2006 there was almost no excitement for the Republican candidates in our part of the state. This election was starting out the same way until Palin was put on the ticket. But, the biggest shock happened today. When I went out in the snow/sleet to get my children off the bus I turned around and could not believe what I saw. It was McCain/Palin signs all the way down our street.

In 2006 we were the only house to have Republican signs on our street. We live in a Republican county, but a very Democrat controlled city. Matter of fact, most offices are uncontested because it is assumed that the Democrats will win. So, if our city, and unfortunately we live in one of the more Democrat parts of the city right by the college, is going for McCain/Palin then their future in this state looks bright for November 4.

I also noticed that our quickly growing Hispanic population appears to be supporting McCain/Palin over Obama/Biden going by signs and people coming into our county headquarters.

American Life League Press Release

'Just One Judge' Invigorates Pro-Lifers as Election Looms

Washington, D.C. (27 October 2008) – A Web phenomenon is sweeping across pro-life circles, largely under the radar of mainstream news.

With the full support of American Life League, and only eight days before an historic election, a Web site called "Just One Judge" is invigorating the pro-life movement.

With a unique fusion of video and petition, "Just One Judge" calls on all Americans who would defend human life to dedicate their votes to that most important issue and hold our elected officials to their campaign promises even after Nov. 4. Visitors to the site are asked to sign a pledge to be given to the next president of the United States. This pledge is a reminder that LIFE is the most important issue to millions of Americans. It is also an admonition to the next president that it is the president's solemn and sworn duty to appoint Supreme Court justices who will apply equal justice under the law – for the born and preborn alike.

"The next president and U.S. Senate will appoint and confirm the one Justice who will be the deciding vote on whether to overturn Roe v. Wade," the Web site states, "to restore the Constitutional guarantee of Life, or to allow the killing of innocent unborn children to continue."

The site features a video that scrolls backwards and forwards displaying, with the same words, two contradictory messages: one that our country will choose murder in the name of convenience, the other that with just one judge, we can change the course of history and protect all innocent human life.

"I encourage everyone invested in the cause of life this election season to visit Just One Judge," said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. "Each of our votes in this election is crucial, critical to the lives of millions of preborn children. As Just One Judge beautifully illustrates, it takes only one Supreme Judge to turn around our culture, it takes only one vote to change the course of history."

American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. AL FRANKEN’S ANTI-CATHOLICISM:
MEDIA MATTERS JUSTIFIES HIS BIGOTRY

A columnist for
Media Matters, Eric Boehlert, posted a piece on October 25 criticizing an article by Katherine Kersten in the Minneapolis Star Tribune
that took senatorial hopeful Al Franken to task for promoting anti-Catholicism.

Here is a sampling of Franken’s virulent anti-Catholicism:

· He has mocked the Eucharist
· He has ridiculed the crucifixion of Jesus
· He has slandered all priests as molesters
· He has belittled practicing Catholics (e.g., Knights of Columbus)
· He has disparaged the Church’s teaching on embryonic stem cell research
· He made crude jokes about a dying woman, Terri Schiavo, and then misrepresented her condition by passing her off as already dead

Catholic League president Bill Donohue commented as follows:

“Franken has a long and ugly history of Catholic bashing, and now his friends at
Media Matters
are there to bail him out. For example, Franken once called New York Archbishop John Cardinal O’Connor ‘an a**hole.’ Boehlert concurs saying, ‘Trust me, in New York in the 1990s, that was not as provocative a statement as it seems today; O’Connor was an extraordinarily political and, at times, divisive figure.’ Boehlert even has the gall to imply that it is anti-Semitic to criticize Franken because the ‘comedian’ is Jewish!

“Franken’s diatribes against Catholics are not in jest. As Hillary Clinton said about him last week, he tells ‘truth through jokes.’ And the truth is that when Franken mocks the Body and Blood of Jesus, and jokes about the discovery of ‘the complete skeleton of Jesus Christ still nailed to the cross,’ his mean-spirited digs are designed to be injurious.”

Liberal Hate Crime Or Halloween Fun? - Sarah Palin Mannequin Hanging By Noose

Of course, the owner of the home and the creator of this atrocity claims art and Halloween as his justification for this threat; what else would we expect from a liberal socialist?

It is reported that Mr. Morisette designed a supposed Halloween set at his home, which just happens to be a mannequin dressed like Sarah Palin hanging in a noose and one of John McCain in a flaming chimney. The problem with this is that if it were a black mannequin in a noose it would be considered a hate crime, but because of the skin color of the subject it is considered acceptable as art or Halloween fun?

Give me a break! It is a hate crime, pure and simple. It crosses the line and, as far as I am concerned, others should see it is the threat or suggested threat that it is. Use a little common sense, the world would be a much safer place. These types of actions are expressions of opinion. His opinion has been made very clear.

The Most Abused And Forgotten Part Of The Constitution

The Tenth Amendment:

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people"

These few simple words hold the key to our Constitution working. After all, Thomas Jefferson said this about the Tenth Amendment:

"The Tenth Amendment is the foundation of the Constitution."

How true those words ring. The Federal Government has been able to amass so much power by simply ignoring or misinterpreting the Tenth Amendment. It is time that we elect politicians that will follow the Constitution. We also have to remember that state's rights is actually part of the Constitution and not some made up fantasy as it is portrayed today. Only through respect of the Constitution can we regain the Republic we were meant to be.

As everyone who reads regularly here knows, I supported Fred Thompson for President and I still think he would have been the best candidate. Anyway, Fred released a much watch video that due to my Anniversary yesterday I am just getting to; so stop by Fred PAC to watch a true Federalist.
