Sunset Of The Republican Party Succumbs To The Sunrise Of Conservatism

Now that the election is over, and we all know how it turned out, I can say my piece. I would have thought that after the '06 elections the Republican establishment would have learned its lesson regarding supporting liberal candidates. Obviously, they thought they were going to shove their agendas down our throats and that out of some obligation or fear of losing we would just go along with it.

Apparently, there were enough conservatives who rejected being forced to accept another liberal in the White House from their own Party. Although, it is very painful to see such a leftist win the Presidency, I am also grateful that the damage to our country over the next four years will be the fault and blame of the Democrat controlled Congress and President (even though the BS spewed from their mouths will be that it is all the fault of the Republicans).

The only other alternative we would have had would have been to watch our Party, once again, being destroyed and tainted by another RINO in the White House. Yes, I supported the McCain campaign, but ultimately because of Gov. Sarah Palin. Unfortunately, our party sold us out and McCain was the less dangerous choice of the two. I never believed that McCain was the best choice for the Republican Party. We will have an uphill battle over the next four years to keep the damage to our Republic, our freedom, and our Constitution to a minimum so that we can nominate a true conservative who will be able to repair that damage.

I believe that Gov. Bobby Jindal and Gov. Sarah Palin are the best choices for 2012. I will continue to support Gov. Sarah Palin no matter where her path takes her in the future. I pray God puts her in a place where she can keep kicking bureaucrat butt. In the days following the election the predictable scramble to find a scape-goat did not take long to pathetically place the blame on Palin. I could not have been more disappointed or proven right about the McCain campaign and the Republican Party mentality. They are nothing but luke warm liberals who are willing to do anything and sell out anybody to win an election. We all knew that McCain was a liberal mush ball that had a snow ball's chance in hell of winning until Palin came along.

The only thing that saved his campaign and gave him a prayer of winning was Palin and for his whiny, sore loser, sell out staffers to lie and point fingers at Palin makes them the only losers in this whole whopping mess. When a candidate runs a campaign they should be more aware of those who are working for them. You cannot run a corporation with employees who attack and verbally smear and degrade its CEO's. No one in the public would have any confidence in the ability of that corporation. These staffers who are attacking the very person that made their jobs necessary and possible should be put in their places. They have no clue what true honor, courage, and conservatism is and have no business opening their traps about things they have no clue about.

No matter where Obama takes this country, there those of us who have the resolve and the foundation of our Founding Fathers to not only make it through his Presidency, but to fight back and defeat his socialist destruction on God's country.

For those of you who woke up after the election with the revolution that the world was still somehow alright I have a message for you. Obama is only President Elect; he has not taken over yet. You have not even begun to see the damage and destruction he will wreak on our economy, our Republic, our Constitution, our freedom, and our unborn children.

Those of you who are content to just wait out the next four years for God to work things out have a rude awaking on the horizon. I have said it before and I will say it here and now; God helps those who help themselves. When judgement day comes and God requires me to account for the things I did to bring his light to the world I plan to have a long and impressive resume ready and waiting.

Gov. Palin On The Record - UPDATED And Corrected

We always want to make sure we bring you truthful information so that you are more informed. I don't know how I missed it, but apparently Greta refuted the report I linked to in the second paragraph on Fox News' laying off of Obama. Click here for Greta's post.

Greta Van Susteren is headed to Alaska to interview Gov. Palin. It will air Monday, November 10, for the entire hour. I have been impressed that ever since Gov. Palin was picked for VP Greta has been the most fair in her coverage.

Ever since 2005, I have felt that FoxNews has been moving to the left. I used to keep my TV on Fox News all day so they would get the ratings; now I hardly watch it at all, other than Greta's show. I just found out that it is going to get even worse with Fox News now purposely laying off of Obama. It looks like we are going to have to rely on our own information gathering even more in the coming years. Isn't it amazing that Fox News is making the same mistakes that the Republican Party made? They are diluting their principles so much that most of their programing is not worth supporting anymore.

Gov. Palin And The Future

American Life League Press Release

Baltimore, MD (6 November 2008)

WHEN: Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, 7 p.m.

WHERE: Promenade outside the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, 700 Aliceanna St., Baltimore, MD, 21202

WHO: American Life League, Maryland Right to Life, Defend Life and the Catholic Media Coalition will gather in prayer for the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB).

WHAT: Prayer vigil and press conference to address the USCCB's Fall Assembly and the Nov. 11 full-page ad in USA Today entreating the bishop's to enforce Canon 915. The bishops will discuss the practical and pastoral implications of political support for abortion at the meeting.

WHY: Over 123 U.S. bishops spoke out against abortion in the 2008 presidential election, yet pro-abortion Catholic politicians continue to shape abortion policy while receiving Holy Communion in dioceses across the country. Are Catholics heeding the words of their bishops? How will the Catholic bishop's enforce the Church's teaching on abortion?

On Nov. 11, American Life League will run a full-page advertisement in USA Today imploring the bishops to stop allowing pro-abortion politicians like Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Joe Biden to politicize Catholicism's most sacred Eucharist and to enforce Canon 915, which states:

"Those… obstinately persevering in grave and manifest sin are not to be admitted to holy communion.

Later that evening, a prayer vigil and press conference outside the USCCB's conference at the Baltimore Marriot Waterfront Hotel will herald an emerging and powerful lay outcry within the U.S. Catholic Church that demands accountability and leadership from the Catholic hierarchy with the belief that Catholics can end abortion in this country.

American Life League was co-founded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. American Life League Press Release

Post Election: Colorado Personhood Initiative Heralds Future of Pro-Life Movement
by Katie Walker
Released November 5, 2008

Washington, D.C. (5 November 2008) – The following is a statement from Judie Brown, president of American Life League.

In a night overshadowed by pro-abortion victories, one bright light shone for the pro-life movement, and it came from Colorado.

The vote on Amendment 48, the "personhood initiative," marked the first round of the civil rights movement's final battle. Colorado voters were asked to define all human beings, from the moment of fertilization, as "persons."

Amendment 48 made history as the first ballot initiative of its kind. It attempted to answer the question, when is a human being a person deserving of human rights?

The personhood movement defied the odds to blossom in hostile territory – traditionally liberal Colorado. A small group of inspired and passionate people, led by 21-year-old law student Kristi Burton, dedicated themselves to the glorious principles our nation was founded upon and spearheaded a movement that mobilized half a million people.

The word "personhood" made national news and headlines around the country. The abortion debate began anew: "We want to grant rights to all human beings – including those most vulnerable – preborn children." The personhood fire began in Colorado and has now ignited personhood campaigns in 16 states.

God often picks the least likely to move mountains, and so it seems with the personhood movement. Kristi Burton is a brave and courageous young woman who has already inspired an entire pro-life movement with her tireless fight in Colorado.

Amendment 48 gained 27 percent of the vote in one of the most pro-abortion states in the Union. Amendment 48 introduced the idea of personhood for the preborn to the nation. Planned Parenthood found it necessary to earmark an immense sum – $3 million – to defeat Amendment 48. Why? Because Planned Parenthood knows that personhood will be its death knell and the death knell of the entire American pro-abortion movement.

We are inspired by Kristi Burton's efforts in Colorado and plan to champion personhood movements at both the state and federal levels. Indeed, for the babies, personhood is the only defense against the dual threats posed by the Freedom of Choice Act, which President-elect Barack Obama has pledged to sign into law, and the Prevention First Act, which he cosponsored.

These acts would eliminate the possibility of any incremental restrictions on abortion and leave us only one viable option to end the assault on human life: a personhood amendment to the United States Constitution.

It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. Sarah For Senate?

I was just reading this article on the possibility of Sarah Palin running for Senate. I think it is a bad move if she wants to run for president, but if she just wants to help her country we could use a conservative like her in the Senate. If she chooses to run we will, of course, support her.

The Return Of The Tsar

Here is some interesting news out of Russia. I know the talking points are that Putin wishes to return Russia back to Communism, but it appears to me that he is trying to return to the traditions of the Tsars'. It is very important that our leaders understand the true intentions of Putin and Russia's leadership and not to fall back into old talking points that may not apply.

Catholic League News Release

Catholic League president Bill Donohue commented today on the role Catholics played in securing marriage and family rights in the election:

“Were it not for Catholics, the institutions of marriage and the family would have taken a hit in places like Arizona, Florida and California. Indeed, in Florida and California, their vote proved to be decisive.

“Arizonians rejected gay marriage by a vote of 56% to 49%, though the margin among Catholics was less—51% to 49%. In Florida, the Catholic vote proved to be controlling: overall, the ban on gay marriage won by 62% to 38%, but among Catholics it was 66% to 34%. Californians narrowly defeated gay marriage by a margin of 52% to 48%, but Catholics rejected it by an impressive 60% to 40% differential. A vote in California to support parental notification lost by 52% to 48%, but it won among Catholics by a hefty 58% to 42%.

“On both issues, Catholics and Protestants who are regular church-goers clearly supported a ban on homosexual marriage and affirmed their support for parental consent. Unmarrieds and those who don’t go to church overwhelmingly voted for the right of two men to marry; they also voted to deny mothers and fathers of their right to be notified in advance if their child is considering an abortion.

“Those who support traditional values, then, tend to be religious and married while those who sport a preference for moral relativism tend to be secular and single. The implications are clear: tax laws, and other public policy initiatives, which are both family-friendly and church-friendly, are critically important.

“Because those who reject traditional values and religion voted heavily for Barack Obama, it’s a sure bet the culture war will only get hotter. We expect to be quite busy.”

SCF Statement on 2008 Senate Elections

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) Calls for Conservative Leadership

Alexandria, VA - November 5, 2008 - Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) Chairman, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), made the following statement Wednesday regarding the outcome of the 2008 U.S. Senate elections.

Time for Conservative Leadership

"Republicans in the Senate suffered major losses last night because they failed to stand up for conservative principles over the last two years. Rather than opposing the big government policies promoted by congressional Democrats and the White House, many Republicans chose to play it safe, blend in, and compromise again and again. Rather than working together to create a compelling message based on conservative principles, Republicans backed a trillion dollar bailout and continued to support wasteful earmark spending. This strategy is exactly what cost Republicans control of Congress in 2006 and now it has forced the GOP deep into the political wilderness.

"Republicans have now lost a dozen Senate seats in just two years, which is completely unacceptable. The time for excuses is over. Millions of conservative, freedom-loving Americans do not want their representatives in Washington to be a permanent minority. We need more conservative leaders in the Senate who will boldly stand up for our security, our economic freedom, and our values. We need more conservative leaders who will do everything in their power to stop President-elect Obama and the Democrats in Congress from taking away our freedom with socialist policies. We need more leaders who will put the interests of the American people ahead of their own political careers.

"Senate Conservatives Fund is dedicated to electing principled leaders to the Senate and it will continue to support only the most rock-solid conservative Senate candidates nationwide.

SCF Scores 3 Wins, Suffers 2 Losses

"I want to congratulate Senator Jeff Sessions in Alabama, Senator John Cornyn in Texas, and Lieutenant Governor Jim Risch in Idaho on their victories tonight. They are strong conservatives who will strengthen the United States Senate, and I'm glad Senate Conservatives Fund was able to play a part in helping get them elected.

"I also want to extend my regrets to former Congressman Bob Schaffer in Colorado and Congressman Steve Pearce in New Mexico. They both ran principled campaigns and I hope we see more of them in the future."

"Finally, I want to thank all those who supported Senate Conservatives Fund this year. They helped elect several great Senate candidates who I know will make them very proud in the years to come."

Catholic League News Release

Running on TV stations today throughout California is an incendiary ad produced by a pro-gay marriage group, Courage Campaign Issues Committee; it depicts Mormons as intolerant crazies.

Two young men, who identify themselves as being from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, knock on the door of two lesbian women announcing that “We are here to take away your rights.” They walk into their house and literally take the “wedding rings” off their fingers, and then proceed to ransack their house looking for their “marriage license.” When they find it, they rip it up in front of them. They walk out saying, “That was too easy, what should we ban next?”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded as follows:

“Radical homosexuals have a long history of anti-religious bigotry, so it is not surprising that with a pro-marriage initiative on the ballot in California (Proposition 8 would secure marriage as a right between a man and a woman only), they would resort to gutter tactics. This group is not some fringe operation—it works closely with George Soros’
, another organization that has not shied away from bashing people of faith.

“The Catholic League is proud to stand with the California Catholic Conference in condemning this bigotry. Bishop Stephen Blaire, the president of the Catholic group, is right to express his dismay at any media outlet that would air such intolerance. It does not matter that the persons of faith who are demonized in the TV ad are Mormons, not Catholics: What matters is that men and women of any faith who are pro-marriage—and who resist attempts to subvert it by relativizing it—be treated with respect.”

Thomas Sowell Takes It To Obama

Thomas Sowell has been one of my favorite writers during this election. He writes it the way he sees it, the way I like to. He has also been very vocal about his objections of Barack Obama. The following article is a masterpiece, in my opinion. It is a great read, enjoy!

Ego and Mouth
by Thomas Sowell

After the big gamble on subprime mortgages that led to the current financial crisis, is there going to be an even bigger gamble, by putting the fate of a nation in the hands of a man whose only qualifications are ego and mouth?

Barack Obama has the kind of cocksure confidence that can only be achieved by not achieving anything else. [read more]

Truly amazing things are already happening in this election. Early results are showing a change in the Washington Gubernatorial race. Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire's campaign has cranked out a massive get-out-the-vote movement in response to Dino Rossi's surge in early voting results.

Republicans are striking back this election after questionable events in the 2004 election which ultimately made Gregoire the winner over Rossi. Despite the liberal slant the media has been jacking into their reporting, Republicans are turning out and voting and the Dems are starting to run scared with last minute attempts to turn out more votes.

Vote Fraud Allegations Escalate

The U.S. Constitution says that, “Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members,” (Article I, Section 5, Clause 1). As accusations of vote fraud around the country continue to escalate, you might find this updated document useful:

Conservative Activity

--Rep. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) sent a letter to President Bush criticizing the idea of the Treasury Department using funds from the bank bailout to assist struggling automotive companies. Learn more here:

--Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) and 30 other House Members sent this letter to Attorney General Michael Mukasey, calling for him to conduct an investigation into financial institutions, corporations, and individuals that are suspect of criminal action relating to our current economic crisis:

--Rep. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) highlighted his “egregious earmark of the week,” which could show that taxpayers’ pleas for fiscal responsibility are falling on deaf ears:

Obama Brags He Will Bankrupt The Coal Industry

This is unbelievable audio of the arrogance of Sen. Obama as he brags he will bankrupt the coal industry.

Here is Gov. Palin's and John McCain's responses and here is my response. Of all the arrogant and dangerous things he could have said this has to be at the top. Here is one coal official's response. The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity has a useful map on their website that tells you the percentage of electricity, for each state, that is produced by coal. I figured we would name just a couple.

Pennsylvania gets 56% of its electricity from coal.

Ohio gets 85.9% of its electricity from coal.

West Virginia gets 97.5% of its electricity from coal.

Michigan gets 60.2% of its electricity from coal.

Indiana gets 94.8% of its electricity from coal.

Wisconsin gets 65% of its electricity from coal.

Minnesota gets 62.1% of its electricity from coal.

Kentucky gets 92.3% of its electricity from coal.

North Carolina gets 60.3% of its electricity from coal.

If your state is not listed and you are curious click here. Of course, this doesn't even factor in the loss of jobs and revenue in our economy should Barack Obama win the election and get his way. Every town and every person in this country would be affected if the coal industry were to be bankrupted.

Our nation already suffers from limits placed on domestic sources of energy by liberal politicians and extremist environmental groups. Do you want to give them even more power by returning them to Congress and electing Barack Obama as President? What family isn't already suffering from the high energy prices and the resulting increases in the cost of everything from food to heat for your homes. Now imagine rolling electricity blackouts due to the coal industry being bankrupted by Barack Obama and the Democrat Congress. We would see unimaginable cost increases on everything and it would be a nightmare trying to heat your homes without electricity.

Enough is enough, we must stand up to this extremist agenda and vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin on November 4th. But, you must also support conservative candidates all the way down the ticket; we must reclaim Congress or these liberal policies will keep rearing their ugly heads until they are passed. Barack Obama is not the first liberal Democrat to dream of destroying domestic energy production. The foundation has been being laid for years now.

I hope that the skyrocketing gas prices after Nancy Pelosi and the Dems took over Congress was enough of a wake up call and that we don't have to wait for the next election for energy independence, which includes clean coal.

I love this photo, I think it is a good shot of a true hero. It makes him look as if he is in prayer.
