Family Fun

In response to my beautiful SR's request here are some photos of our family trip to the conservation area today. Lake Michigan was a deep dark blue and green today; absolutely stunning. It was about 77 degrees, which is a heat wave up here. Most important of all, the children had fun and were very well behaved; even at McDonald's which almost never happens when you have five kids.

Beautiful - and the kids were well-behaved? That's a God thing, I think.

Thanks for the pictures. (SR, you were right!)

The lake is so beautiful. It is the thing I will miss the most when we move back to Dixie. Although, there is so much beauty in the South I am sure I will be quite comforted.

You are right about it being a God thing. We have raised our children in Southern traditions and values and God is the most important part of our lives. We have definitely been blessed for our efforts.

Just gorgeous. And the kids all holding each other's hands is too precious.

Lara,

I love that picture; I got several shots in a few seconds and almost knocked SR over pushing past to get a the picture. They were walking ahead of us and when I looked up I saw them grab their brother's hand to walk him across the bridge; it was so cute. It is moments like that, that make parents the proudest.
