It appears they are and that is alright with the Conservative base. We are patient and we are determined. We have woke up to the fact that it is better to lose and let the Democrats crash and burn in their frenzy for power than sell out our own values. If the Republic elite is willing to do the same by throwing their support behind liberals with R's at the ends of their names then they can go down in that ship alone. Every Republican leader who betrays American and conservative heritage should be abandoned as ineffective, irrelevant, and traitorous.
Now, as far as the NRCC goes this is what Conservatives should very seriously consider doing; stop any donations, demand any donations already made be returned, and give the money directly to the Conservative candidates they refuse to support. It no longer matters if they are Republican or Independent; only that they are Constitutionally Conservative.
We have already suffered huge losses because of liberal Republicans why put up with any more? If we must lose, let it be because we threw our support to the conservative Independent and refused to betray our values. In my opinion, and that of many others, we will win big in many races because the movement back toward Conservatism has begun and won't be stopped.
We will lose some too, but I guarantee that after the first round of losses, proving our resolve, the Republican leadership will have no choice but to back down to the will of the people; those who don't are easily replaced. They are expendable and they need to be reminded just as easy comes, easy goes.
Far too long have we ignored our local party's effect on our choices and our effectiveness. What good does it do for us to volunteer and get involved if our own local leadership stabs us in the back by bowing to liberal agendas and candidates? Too many of us have overlooked the importance of being a part of, and voting in, local elections.
Everything that goes on in Washington began at the local level; everything goes uphill in this game and those that we elect in our own home towns will be our future leaders. Who they are today will be compounded by the time they tread through all the dark political mire between home and Washington. The rule will always remain the same; a moderate will become more liberal and a true Conservative will become more obstinate for the will of the people, in protecting the Constitution, and ensuring freedom for all.
Our warning to the Republican leadership is this; back down now or forever remain in the minority. Please note that we have removed our donation link to the NRCC; we have long financially supported them, but after the debacle of the New York 23rd and their willingness to attack Conservative candidates we will no longer donate to them but rather send our money directly to Conservative candidates and groups.
