The Bishops never voiced any great 'disappointment' in Ted Kennedy's stance on abortion, nor did they demand an apology for any of his remarks which, definitely, couldn't have been less ignorant than this Kennedy's comments.
So what's that all about?
Lara,
Absolutely right and it is a shame on the Church that they allowed so many so-called Catholics to support this halocaust while they said nothing. I am really upset with our church, it seems like it is going more and more to the left.
Even with a Conservative Pope, many seem to be advocating a socialist world view. I know this is happening in the Protestant Churches also, but I don't want to see our beloved faith soiled.
Christ promised that the Church would never fall. ONLY by the supportive Hand of God does she remain standing today.
Just another reason to be thankful--and humble.
I will never abandon the Church, but some of our leaders, I fear, have abandoned our faith. We need a revival of Godly, Conservative practices even within the Church.
