The Day After

For the most part, I feel the talking heads are missing the significance of the election the yesterday. In my opinion, this is the beginning of a political landslide in favor of limited government and freedom. The political parties have never meant less. We are tired of eating the scraps they throw out to us. Going forward your record will matter. We are tired of Government seeping into every aspect of our lives. We want to live free and in a lot of ways we no longer do.

Veterans Day is approaching, one of my favorite holidays, but when I reflect on my time in uniform there was never a moment that I was serving so that politicians could squander and give away our freedom. I am sure most veterans feel the same way. Thomas Jefferson and the Founding Fathers warned us about the threat big government posses to freedom and liberty and yet many still do not accept their warnings as relevant to today.

The American people, more and more, are waking up. Washington may still be in the dark, but we are not. State sovereignty and individual freedom is on the march and those like Sarah Palin who recognize it have a bright future. Those who deny reality and live in their own delusional world will be left behind and forgotten in the ash heap of history.

I want to point out two people who I feel have written two must read articles on the aftermath of the election. The first is by Meadow and the second by Michele Malkin.
