Here is a disturbing article that shows just how bad off Wisconsin is. We have made the "These 10 states may be closest to financial collapse List". This is what liberal leadership brings you. When we first moved to WI I had never been here before and only came because my wife accepted a job in the state. First of all, WI was nothing like I had imagined; it is one of the most beautiful states I have ever seen. You don't hear about the beauty of northern and western WI at all outside of the state. Instead, you only hear about Milwaukee and Madison; hardly representative of the state, yet due to their large number of voters they quite often dictate the direction of our states government.
If every concerned citizen in the rest of the state voted and was actively involved we would have a conservative, responsible state government. The only way to dig ourselves out of the financial ruin we now face is by demanding accountability of our elected officials and supporting politicians like Scott Walker.
I have seen our city badly deteriorate in the five years we have lived here. It went from a thriving, happy community to, quite frankly, a depressing, jobless ruin. Of course, if you are lucky you can get a low paying fast food job, but it is almost impossible to find a job you can support a family on. It does not take a brain surgeon to figure out that this is the direct result of high taxation and government regulation.
We cannot continue to vote for liberal candidates and expect a different outcome. WI is a great state; let's not let any political ideology destroy her.

Unfortunately, Michigan joins most of those "top ten" lists with you. Our problem is liberal leadership and that the voters in the rest of the state allow Detroit to dictate what happens here. Lot of good that has done us.
It's going to get a lot worse I fear before (if) it gets better.
Looks like you have a good guy in Hoekstra running for governor though. Good to see you over here.
In answer to the question on your blog they changed the rules on kickoffs recently because they were worried about injuring resulting from bunching all the players to one side. Just a safety precaution. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Yes, Pete Hoekstra would be a good Governor for Michigan ... I met him several times during my time in Grand Rapids, and was always impressed.
Thanks for the football answer. That makes sense.
Everything is ok here. Still trying to get used to going to work everyday ... it is hard for me to not be home with Hannah all day and being her primary teacher for homeschool. We are more fortunate than many though, as at least I have a job and that my husband has taken on the role of teacher and at-home parent. I try not to grouse, but I do struggle a bit.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
