Waiting For Mexico To Fall Apart

Are these idiots in charge of our border security completely insane?

"we as U.S. citizens need to be assured that Homeland Security or someone is going to protect us" GOING to protect us? What about the violence and drugs that spill over the border each and every day now? They can't even keep up with it so why is their plan to wait until it gets worse to actually do their job?

They don't even try to hide that they are not willing to do their job or call in the necessary help when they can't; "It would have to be an end-of-the-world type situation before the military is brought in," This quote from El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen is evidence of this lazy and callous attitude.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff is a complete failure in his position by even suggesting that there should be a plan to institute IF things get worse. If Mexico falls apart, it is already too late, these plans should already be daily practice.

Democrat to Obama: Don't Pick Pro-Abortion Sanjay Gupta as Surgeon General

by Steven Ertelt

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Barack Obama is facing opposition from an ironic source. Pro-abortion Rep. John Conyers, a black Democratic congressman from Michigan, is opposed to the incoming president potentially picking pro-abortion CNN reporter Sanjay Gupta as his Surgeon General.

Conyers is taking the lead in an effort to get Obama not to appoint Gupta, who CNN has confirmed has been approached about the position. He has contacted members of the House and Senate to urge opposition to Gupta. [

SACHA BARON COHEN’S BLACK JESUS:
THE COLOR DOESN’T MATTER

News reports about the upcoming movie, “Bruno,” featuring Sacha Baron Cohen of “Borat” fame, say there is a black model called Jesus who wears a loincloth and a crown of thorns. Some media pundits are saying this is sure to offend Christians.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue speaks to this issue today:

“In many African American neighborhoods there are Catholic and Protestant churches that display statues of a black Jesus; artistic renditions of a black Jesus are also commonplace throughout the country. No one but racists and the hyper-sensitive object. What matters is not the color of Jesus, it is how the Jesus-figure is portrayed. If the depiction of Jesus in this movie is not offensive, then the Catholic League will not protest. If it is, we will.

“Critics of the Catholic League say we do object to images of a black Jesus. They cite our objections to black photographer Renee Cox who was depicted as Jesus in 2001, our complaints against hip-hop artist Kanye West on the cover of Rolling Stone with a crown of thorns in 2005, and our problems with the Chocolate Jesus sculpture in 2007. All these critics miss the point.

“Had Cox managed to keep her clothes on when being photographed as Jesus, we would not have registered the same complaint (though we would have noted the silliness of portraying a man as a woman). The
Rolling Stone
controversy was all about the exploitative picture of West with blood streaming down his face, and the fact that the cover story, ‘The Passion of Kanye West,’ disclosed his self-confessed passion for pornography. Those who said we would not have objected to a Vanilla Jesus don’t get it: our concern over the sculpture was the fact that this larger-than-life figure was displayed with exposed genitals at Easter time in a mid-town Manhattan hotel where visitors were invited to eat him.

“In other words, whether we go after ‘Bruno’ depends entirely on how Jesus is portrayed—not on the color of his skin.”

Texas Sen. Hutchison Tagged by Pro-Life GOP Group for Abortion Distortions

by Steven Ertelt

January 9, 2009

Austin, TX (LifeNews.com) -- A pro-life Republican group has tagged Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison for distorting her position on abortion in a recent mailing to prospective voters. Hutchison is planning to vacate her Senate seat early to take on pro-life Texas Gov. Rick Perry in a combative primary contest in 2010.

While Perry has built a long pro-life record, Hutchison support legal abortions, including the Roe v. Wade case in 1973 that allowed about 50 million of them. [

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Barack Obama introduced new national Democratic Party chairman Tim Kaine on Thursday and praised the Virginia governor. For his part, the pro-abortion governor said he would be a "passionate and positive promoter" of Obama's agenda, which includes promoting unlimited abortions.

"Governor Kaine is uniquely qualified to expand the coalition for change we built over the past two years," Obama said in a press conference at the Democratic National Committee headquarters. [read more]

The Support Of Israel - A Christian's Duty

Yes, I said duty, obligation so to say, as a child of God. Whether some will admit, or like it, the Jews are God's chosen people. You cannot pick and chose the parts of the Bible you accept; you either take it or leave it. God, fully knowing everything that would transpire, made the Jewish nation his own. We are not to question his decision, we are to honor and protect it.

Not supporting Israel in it's greatest time of need is turning your back on God and his word. I do not intend to preach, but I am very saddened and dismayed by the lack of support and outright betrayal Israel has received from the Christian community. The world is expected to do these types of attacks, let's be sure we don't let them go unanswered.

Obama Admits To His Coming Economic Failure Even Before Taking Office

Obama still does not get what it will take to save the economy. He is already preparing the masses for the economic pain they will inevitably suffer under his failure (refusal) to successfully deal with this crisis. Determined to rush headlong down an economic road of destruction he has been laying out the dirty little details of his "Economic Plan" or what is more obviously an economic disaster.

Fully intending on raising taxes, increasing government, and pouring unprecedented amounts of your tax dollars into money pits he is proving to the world before he even takes office that he does not have what it takes to overcome this economic crisis. Unfortunately, the answer to this crisis is clear cut, but unimaginable to the average American.

RED-FACED AND RED-HANDED: TOP 10 PRO-ABORTION MOMENTS OF 2008

Washington, D.C. (7 January 2009) – 2008 was a down year for the pro-abortion movement's talking heads. As you read the quotes below, despite the seriousness of the subject - after all, we are talking about matters of life and death - it's hard not to laugh at their ridiculous attempts to justify their position.

1) NOT THAT! ANYTHING BUT THAT!

Dear leader, President-elect Barack Obama at a town-hall meeting in Johnstown, Pennsylvania in March:

“Look, I got two daughters – 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.”

Comment: President-elect Obama demonstrates his disdain for the sanctity of preborn babies by stating that children are “punishments” instead of miracles and blessings.

2) HOLDING OUT FOR A RAISE?

President-elect Barack Obama answers Pastor Rick Warren’s question “At what point does a baby get human rights?” at a Saddleback Church interview:

“Answering that question with specificity is above my pay grade.”

Comment: The future president will swear to uphold and defend the Constitution and Bill of Rights - hard to do when you can’t decide who gets rights and who doesn’t because it’s above your “pay grade.”

3) DATE-NIGHT OPTIONS: DINNER? DANCING? ABORTION?

Justin Timberlake/Jessica Biel

“Nobody should be able to say what you can do with your body,” Biel told cheering crowds at Last Chance for Change, a rally endorsing presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama. "I give Jess the right to choose where we go to eat all the time," Timberlake added.

Comment: Just when we start to have a sliver of respect for our Hollywood elite, they say something like this. Justin sees no difference between choosing where to eat or which child to kill.

4) KILLING BLACK BABIES – 'UNDERSTANDABLE, UNDERSTANDABLE'

Planned Parenthood of Idaho – A Live Action Films exposé video exposed Planned Parenthood’s deep-rooted racism. A caller posed as a potential donor and the following conversation ensued:

Actor: I want to specify that abortion to help a minority group, would that be possible?

Planned Parenthood employee: Absolutely.

Actor: Like the black community for example?

Planned Parenthood employee: Certainly.

Actor: The abortion – I can give money specifically for a black baby, that would be the purpose?

Planned Parenthood employee: Absolutely. If you wanted to designate that your gift be used to help an African-American woman in need, then we would certainly make sure that the gift was earmarked for that purpose.

Actor: Great, because I really faced trouble with affirmative action, and I don’t want my kids to be disadvantaged against black kids. I just had a baby; I want to put it in his name.

Planned Parenthood employee: Yes, absolutely.

Actor: And we don’t, you know we just think, the less black kids out there the better.

Planned Parenthood employee (laughing): Understandable, understandable.

Comment – The apple doesn’t fall far. Planned Parenthood hasn’t strayed much since the days of its racist founder Margaret Sanger, who once spoke to a Ku Klux Klan group and was a member of the American Eugenics Society.

5) HEY LOOK, MOM, HERESY!

Ca. Rep. Nancy Pelosi in a television interview with NBC’s Tom Brokaw:

Tom Brokaw: Madame speaker, when does life begin? Rep. Pelosi: As an ardent, practicing Catholic, …I don’t think anybody can tell you when life begins.

Comment: That’s like saying, “As a vegan, I would like my steak medium rare.”

BEING 'PRO-CURE' IS BEING PRO-LIFE! ... EVEN IF WE HAVE TO CANNIBALIZE PREBORN CHILDREN FOR IT

Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm in support of Proposition 2, a bill that now allows embryonic stem cell research:

“As a Catholic, I can say to be pro-cure is to be pro-life.”

Comment: What about this statement is Catholic? Not a thing.

6) FIVE-FINGERED DISCOUNT FOR PLANNED PARENTHOOD C.E.O.

PP C.E.O. Miriam Inocencio

Despite a six-digit salary drawn from Planned Parenthood’s tax- and abortion-gorged pockets, Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island CEO Miriam Inocencio must have really liked that Macy’s blouse!

Comment: Clearly her day job – helping to kill preborn babies – has affected her moral judgment. If Miriam is hurting for cash, perhaps we can redirect some of Planned Parenthood's extra Title X taxpayer funding her way?

8) MODERN CHIVALRY

Comedian Doug Stanhope

These are not empty words. I, Doug Stanhope, am offering you, Bristol Palin, the sum of $25,000 so that you can abort your child and move out of that draconian home. I have also set up a PayPal link so that others around the world can help increase this amount to ease the burden of starting out on your own at such an early age.

Comment: We love it when pro-abortion radicals show their true colors. Stanhope can’t fathom why a young couple would actually want their baby. Nope. Clearly, Bristol doesn’t need love and compassion – she needs $25,000!

9) MORE THAN WE CAN SAY FOR SOME POLITICIANS

South Carolina Democrat chair Carol Fowler

Vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s “primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Comment: South Carolinians overwhelmingly voted for the Palin ticket. That’s got to hurt, Fowler.

10) KEEP IT CLASSY, OLD BOY

Comedian Bill Maher

Refers to Sarah Palin’s Down syndrome baby as “it” three times in a monologue citing why she isn’t qualified to be vice president and then ends with “Does anyone in that party understand the concept of pulling out?”

Comment: What can we say, really? We’ll just let Maher condemn himself.

KEYES TO ENDORSE PERSONHOOD AS OBAMA'S ONSLAUGHT AGAINST HUMAN LIFE CONTINUES

Washington, D.C. (7 January 2009) – Days after President-elect Barack Obama assumes his promised role to do all in his power to advance abortion, birth control and sex education, Ambassador Alan Keyes will address the rise of this new assault on the sanctity of preborn babies and traditional family values.

A former United Nations ambassador, Keyes will speak at American Life League's Training and Activism Week and Personhood Conference at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 23 at the Liaison Hotel in Washington D.C. during the pro-life movement's largest annual demonstration. Thousands of pro-lifers will descend on the nation's capital for the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that decriminalized abortion.

In the wake of the inauguration of the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history, Ambassador Keyes will speak a message of personhood to a movement determined to battle cultural apathy toward the widespread violation of the right to life of all human beings, born and preborn, and lawmakers' refusal to protect this right.

"For decades, the pro-life movement has been losing focus on the real battle: the dignity of human persons," said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. "The culture of death is gaining ground only because we who should be defending human beings without exception have lost focus of that truth. It's time to turn the tide. It's time for personhood - NOW."

"Dr. Keyes is the perfect speaker to enlighten and ignite passion in the pro-life movement on the integral, inarguable need to restore the legal recognition of personhood," said Brown. "Personhood is the last frontier in the civil rights movement. Dr. Keyes, who has spent a lifetime fighting for civil rights, will provide the inspiration and the motivation needed to herald a return to the fundamental truth: human dignity may never be comrpomised or denied."

Keyes, founder and chairman of the Declaration Foundation, will join keynote speaker Judie Brown; 40 Days for Life leader David Bereit; Kristi Burton, architect of the Colorado personhood movement; Lila Rose, president of Live Action Films; and renowned pro-life blogger Jill Stanek.

The Personhood Conference will conclude American Life League's Training and Activism Week, which will take place Jan. 21-23. For more information, visit

Obama May Make Another Pro-Abortion Pick in Surgeon General Sanjay Gupta

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Incoming president Barack Obama appears to be expanding on the steady stream of abortion advocates he is appointing to top administration posts. His latest choice appears to be pro-abortion CNN medical reporter Sanjay Gupta to become the next Surgeon General.

Gupta is a practicing neurosurgeon and considered a media celebrity of sorts for his role in reporting on medical matters for the massive cable news network. [

A Pardon For Ramos And Compean?

It is being reported that Obama is considering Miguel Contreras for a high-level ICE position. After being notified of his consideration Mr. Contreras apparently wrote President Bush regarding his knowledge of the Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean case and requested that Bush pardon the ex-border patrol agents.

Considering the drug dealers and smugglers that Bush has pardoned (like the people Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean went to prison for, trying to doing their job to keep them out of the US) their pardon is the LEAST Bush could do.

Thomas Sowell On The Economic Stimulus Package

The Economic "Stimulus"
by Thomas Sowell

Two centuries ago, when there were plans to create a huge fund of money to pay off Britain's national debt, the great classical economist David Ricardo objected on grounds that-- no matter what the money was said to be for-- politicians could spend it for whatever they wanted.

Two centuries later, we have not yet caught up to that plain reality, even though the $700 billion that was supposed to be used to rescue financial institutions has already begun to be spent on other things.

Regardless of what President Bush or Secretary of the Treasury Paulson may have had in mind when they promoted this huge bailout package, with all due respect to these gentlemen what they had in mind will not matter in the slightest after January 20th. [read more]

Israel Fights For Its Survival While The World Turns A Blind Eye

The world continues to trash Israel for its defensive operations in the Gaza Strip, but you don't hear about Israeli doctors saving the life of a young Palestinian baby or the real threat these rockets pose to southern Israel. What about the Israeli death toll? I have heard almost no mention of it except on BBC America. It is as if the Israeli deaths don't matter.

One thing that needs more attention is the fact that Hamas may be purposely moving civilians into areas that Israel has given advanced warning will be targeted. The truth is the only one who is acting responsible is Israel. Have innocent civilians been killed? I think we can say beyond a shadow of a doubt, yes; that happens in every war. Even Israel is not immune from friendly fire accidents.

The difference is the media and the world will instantly attack Israel for excessive use of force while completely ignoring the reason for the conflict. There would be peace in the Middle East over night if the Palestinians truly wished it. The only one who truly wants peace is Israel and they have lost many lives in pursuit of it. When will the world wake up to the truth that is right before their own eyes?

Our true enemy is Satan and he would like nothing more that to destroy God's people. Many have condemned those who sat by during the holocaust yet they don't realize that the same threat to God's people exists today. Many will not be happy until Israel is wiped from the face of the Earth and every Jew is dead. You cannot not negotiate with any enemy that will not even acknowledge your right to exist.

I pray for the safety of Israel, their armed forces, and all innocence in the area of operation.

8But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
9Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
10Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Israeli baby wounded as Hamas widens missile range

A 3-month-old baby girl was wounded by shrapnel on Tuesday morning when a Hamas missile slammed into her house in the central Israel town of Gedera.

Gedera lies some 25 miles from Gaza, and marks a slight widening of the terrorist missile range. Several large Tel Aviv suburbs lie just a few miles north of Gedera.

At least 20 more Palestinian missiles hit cities and towns across southern Israel on Tuesday morning, causing widespread damage, but no injuries.

More than 40 rockets and mortar shells were fired at southern Israel on Monday. Two Israelis in the southern town of Sha'ar Hanegev were lightly wounded.

Another missile scored a direct hit on a kindergarten in the southern coastal city of Ashkelon. The building was empty, as Israel's Home Front Command has ordered all schools within 25 miles of Gaza to remain closed for the time being.

GAYS VANDALIZE SAN FRANCISCO CHURCH

Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, in the heart of San Francisco’s gay Castro community, was vandalized over the weekend by opponents of Proposition 8, the California resolution passed by voters in November that rejected gay marriage. Swastikas were painted on the church and the names Ratzinger (referring to Pope Benedict XVI) and Niederauer (the San Francisco Archbishop) were scrawled besides the Nazi symbol.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue is asking Catholics nationwide to respond to this incident:
“In the wake of Proposition 8, innocent persons have been assaulted, churches have been vandalized, a white substance resembling anthrax was sent to the Knights of Columbus and to Mormon temples, supporters of traditional marriage have been branded Nazis, African Americans have been called the ‘N-word,’ houses and cars have been trashed, etc. Unfortunately, most of those in the gay community have been silent about these acts.

“Part of the blame for the latest attack goes to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Both Newsom and the Board have shown nothing but contempt for the First Amendment rights of Catholics. When crucifixes are sold as sex toys and Catholic sensibilities are assaulted by naked men in the street at the annual Folsom Street Fair, they say nothing. When gay men dressed as nuns show up at Mass—at the same church—they say nothing. But the Board was quite vocal about condemning the Catholic Church in 2006, something which led to a lawsuit triggered by the Catholic League and the Thomas More Law Center.

“For those who love to write about ‘root causes,’ let them ponder the guilt of these public officials. Moreover, leaders in the gay community show no leadership when it comes to denouncing incivility committed in the name of gay rights. This has got to end.”

Contact Mayor Gavin Newsom and ask him to finally condemn gay assaults on Catholics and other people of faith: gavin.newsom@sfgov.org
