Illegal Alien Gangs Costing More Than We Care To Admit

Illegal immigration has long been soaking American tax payers for stolen benefits and causing an economic drain caused on education, medical services, law enforcement, infrastructure, and the job and housing markets, but the sufferage from crime and violence should be most intolerable for all of us. The invasion of illegal criminals and formation of gangs is becoming more and more of an occurance and it is effecting more and more cities around the country. This is terrorism from foreigners on our own ground and needs to be dealt with. The law enforcement community cannot bear this burden alone, our government must protect our borders so their efforts are not in vain.

Eminent Domain - The Threat To Every American

American Dream? Until the government decides to come in and steal your property and destroy your home. Eminent domain is just that stealing and destroying; no amount of compensation, if you are lucky enough to get it, makes up for the invasion of the American dream to own property and it is being abused every single day here in America. How long are we going to allow the Constitution to be trampled in this manner?

Constitution Party 2008 Vice-Presidential Candidate

Is the current tactic being employed to save the American financial system, the bailout, working? The answer to that question depends on your definition of the word “working”. If by “working” you mean the transferring of the nation’s wealth from working Americans to the bankers; the exponential accumulation of debt that must be repaid with interest by future generations; the destruction of the value of the dollar and with that destruction the lowering of the standard of living of working and retired Americans, creating the conditions that make martial law inevitable and with that declaration of martial law a world currency and world central bank; the nationalization of the American financial system; the ensconcing in positions of power, privilege, and dominance over the system of the very people who caused the crises in the first place, it has worked in spectacular fashion.

If you define “working” as ending the credit crises and freeing credit for business to put people back to work; allowing stable and profitable banks to emerge and lead the system back to stability; the avoidance of taxpayer money being used to pay huge bonuses and salaries to executives who have led their companies to failure; the avoidance of taxpayer money being used by banks to acquire stable, profitable companies including those not in the financial industry; avoidance of economic depression and with it the conditions of civil unrest and chaos, then it has been an abject failure.

The bailout and the coming economic stimulus follow what Keynesian economic theory dictates that we do. Keynesians believe that recessions are caused by a drop in aggregate demand. The Keynesian answer then is to increase demand by lowering interest rates. When interest rates are lowered to zero, which they now have been, without a corresponding increase in demand, it is because we are not squandering our money fast enough and thus the government must step in with a “stimulus” and squander it for us. This theory and tactic has worked in the past but will it work now? Not only will this tactic not work, it can’t work because for the first time in history debt, both public and private, has reached exponential growth. A problem caused by too much debt and credit that is too loose cannot be fixed by piling on more debt and more loose credit. More importantly, it can’t work because the underlying productive economy has been destroyed. Our manufacturing has been taken off shore to China, and Mexico. Our information technology has been taken off shore to India. Our financial system is obviously bankrupt.

Is there anything that can be done then to save this economy? Yes, there are many things that we could do which collectively would bring economic recovery very quickly. [

Pope Benedict Gently Encourages Obama to Respect Life After Inauguration Day

by Steven Ertelt Editor
January 21, 2009

The Vatican ( -- Pope Benedict XVI gently encouraged new pro-abortion President Barack Obama to foster a respect for human life as president. The Catholic leader sent a telegram to the new president that didn't engage in negative rebuking of Obama's pro-abortion views but graciously prompted him to promote life.

The Pope sent his best wishes to Obama with an "assurance of my prayers that Almighty God will grant you unfailing wisdom and strength in the exercise of your high responsibilities." [read more]

Palestinians confirm Hamas war crimes, refute Gaza death toll

An Italian reporter who entered the Gaza Strip following the recent Israeli assault on Hamas there wrote in his newspaper on Thursday that the casualty figures announced by Hamas and so eagerly passed on by the UN, Red Cross and foreign media were grossly exaggerated.

At most, five or six hundred Palestinians died in Gaza over the past month, according to Lorenzo Cremonesi, a correspondent for Italy's Corriere della Sera. The foreign media has carried numerous sources citing Hamas and UN officials claiming in excess of 1,300 killed.

But Cremonesi explained, "It is sufficient to visit several hospitals [in the Gaza Strip] to understand that the numbers don't add up." He noted that in nearly all of Gaza's major hospitals, and especially those in major conflict zones, he found most beds empty.

On top of that, Cremonesi reported that a doctor at Gaza City's Shifa Hospital who asked to remain anonymous for fear of Hamas acknowledged that the death toll had been inflated. He also told the reporter that many of the dead were "youths between the ages of 17 to 23 who were recruited to the ranks of Hamas and then sent them to the slaughter."

Cremonesi also wrote that Gazans he interviewed confirmed Israeli accusations of Hamas war crimes, especially the deliberate use of the civilian population as human shields.

When local Gazans demanded that Hamas and its allies not take up positions near them, one interviewee said the terrorists responded:

"Traitors, collaborators with Israel, spies of Fatah, cowards! The soldiers of the holy war will punish you. And in any case you will all die, like us. Fighting the Zionist Jews we are all destined for paradise. Do you not wish to die with us?"

Others recounted how Hamas gunmen had disguised themselves as paramedics and commandeered ambulances to avoid being targeted by the Israelis, and how UN facilities were in fact used as launch pads for rockets and mortar shells.

Arizona House Committee Unanimously Approves Partial-Birth Abortion Ban

by Steven Ertelt Editor
January 21, 2009

Phoenix, AZ ( -- Invigorated by knowing they have a new governor who will likely sign it into law, members of a legislative committee in Arizona unanimously approved a partial-birth abortion ban. Thanks to Barack Obama selecting pro-abortion Gov. Janet Napolitano as Homeland Security Secretary, there is an ideological change in the governor's seat.

Out is an abortion advocate who vetoed every one of the several pro-life measures the legislature sent to her and in is pro-life former Secretary of State Jan Brewer. [

Republican Governors Association Congratulates New Arizona Governor Jan Brewer

The Republican Governors Association congratulates Jan Brewer on being sworn in today as Governor of Arizona.

“Governor Brewer inherits a difficult economic situation, but she is a proven reformer who will help Arizona navigate these tough times,” said Nick Ayers, executive director of the Republican Governors Association. “Throughout her career, Governor Brewer has shown how to make government work for the people by making it more productive and efficient. Her fellow Republican Governors are happy to have her join their ranks.”

Governor Brewer was sworn in following the confirmation of former governor Janet Napolitano as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Historic Obama Just Can't Make Historic Numbers

Obama still isn't catching a numbers break for being such a "historic" President. First the predicted 4 to 5 million at his inauguration was reporeted to be closer to 1.8 million and now he can't even beat the great President Reagan's ratings for his inauguration. Almost makes you feel bad for him; Mmm, not really!

Sarah Palin - Ready For The Challenge

This is what government is about. Sarah Palin is faced with an unexpected twist in her state budget due to low oil prices and here she is ready to face it and find a solution; she is ready to prioritize and rework the budget instead of asking for a bailout like so many other failures out there.

You won't see that from a liberal, just a hand stretched out waiting for their "share of the wealth" that doesn't belong to them.

Palin's most important priority is an in-state gas line. Her opposition is, of course, taking their stabs at this bump in the road without even thinking ahead. With the new Obama administration hell bent on environmental initiatives oil prices will be on the rise again soon.

Voter ID

The idiot Democrats in the 2009 Texas Legislature must be completely brain dead and certainly don't deserve the positions they have. Voting is not a right, it is a privilege and one not to be taken lightly. It was always understood that you, the voter, had to prove your eligibility to vote. If you don't require proof that your electors are legally allowed to vote you have no business running an election.

If I used the same unlawful argument that these buffoons are using then I would walk into a grocery store and demand they give me my groceries for free because they were disenfranchising me from my right to eat. Scoff if you like, but it is just as ridiculous.

Conservatives need to keep pushing Voter ID hard for the entire country and they should be praised for taking such a Patriotic stand. No one is disenfranchised by Voter ID, this is a liberal lie; If you want to watch a movie at the theater you buy a ticket and if you want to vote you show your ID (available everywhere).

Responsible Living

Thomas Sowell has an article out on the ridiculousness of government intervention and of the socialist policy of "spreading the wealth around". He makes great points and is right when he points out that people need to stop living beyond their means and expecting someone else to pick up the bill. Do they really want to go back to the days of Jimmy Carter and up to 90% tax rates?

It is certainly no longer considered to be the individual's own responsibility to acquire the work skills and experience to be able to earn enough to afford better housing as the years passed. Why do that, when the government can simply "spread the wealth around," to use another political phrase?

The ultimate irony is that increasing government intervention in the housing market over the years has generally made housing less affordable than before, by any standard. [read more]

David Limbaugh On The Task Ahead For Republicans

David Limbaugh wrote a great piece calling Republicans to do the right thing for a change. It is more important than ever, now that we have a Socialist in the Presidency, for Republicans to stand on truly principled ground.

Republicans are already on seriously thin ice, having presided over an era of unprecedented spending and consistently failing to articulate conservative principles on a wide variety of issues. But what Obama has in store will make President Bush appear, in retrospect, like a libertarian.

If, for the sake of appearing to work with Obama, Republicans reduce themselves to offering merely liberal lite the next four years, we're going to have trouble recovering from the inevitable damage to which they will have contributed. [read more]

Does Character Matter In A Leader?

Irate, Tireless Minority nails it in her latest post. Here is an exerpt:

Character Counts

Why do we have such problems finding good people to serve in positions of leadership in this country?

I've heard it said that "Character is what you do when no one is looking." The implication being that if your behavior in public is consistent with your behavior in private, then you have strength of character. In my opinion, character is only one half of the equation when we are considering to whom we should give our votes. Character may be what you do when nobody is looking, but leadership is what you do when they are. Character in private does nothing for those who would otherwise be strengthened by your actions. Leadership is crippled when it is not accompanied by good character. [read more]

White House Web Site Becomes Pro-Abortion After Obama Takeover

Washington, DC ( -- In less than five minutes after Barack Obama took over as the next president, the White House web site changed from pro-life to pro-abortion. The previous site, which touted the pro-life proclamation President Bush signed late last week, now includes Obama's agenda for women, which calls for promoting abortion.

Need More Be Said?

Here is a great article on Bush's failures. I could not have said it better myself. Our government is overgrown and our economy is like the incredible shrinking man. Hmm... big brother, the Iraq war blunder, the mortgage crisis, Ramos and Compean, the bailout, and a massive loss of jobs! Sounds like a great run to me;-( Bush could have taken a conservative stand against every one of these issues, but he didn't and in walks Obama.

Obama's Abominable Inauguration

In a time when the very economic survival of our Republic is at stake Obama shows his true colors; spend, spend, steal from the rich to give to the lazy, and spend some more. First his inauguration is going to cost somewhere around $170 million! The arrogance is disgusting.

Bush was verbally slaughtered by the media for spending around $40 million on his inauguration and here is Obama spending four times that amount. How many people are losing their homes and going without utilities or basic needs while he egotistically throws money around in their faces. Then to rub more salt in the wound he wants those same taxpayers, who have no financial security in their foreseeable future, to pay for abortions in foreign countries. I am sure World will thank you for your unwilling generosity, even as God's wrath causes him to lift his protective hand away from the prostitute America has become.

Wasn't it Obama that just warned us that it was going to get much worse? You can't say he didn't warn us, after he was elected that is. We all know how much a recession hurts, but when you have a President who doesn't care (as long as his lifestyle has no limits) and gives what you do have away to someone else it has gone too far.

If you thought Bush was bad wait until you have suffered four years of the economic decisions and socialist agendas Obama has in store. He has not even been sworn in and he has already taken hundreds of millions of dollars away from the American people.

Too Little, Too Late - Bush's Final Failure

Ramos and Compean have received their final insult as Bush issued his final failure in a washed-out Presidency; Their prison sentences were commuted and will end on March 20. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful to God that they will be returning to their families where they belong. However, thanks to Bush they are still labeled criminals.

These men were not criminals; they were doing their job of protecting our border from being infiltrated by a drug-runner so intent on putting drugs into your children's hands that was willing to commit an act of war to do it. These men were defending themselves from an attack by a criminal from a foreign country (this is also known as terrorism) while on duty as BORDER PATROL AGENTS.

They were convicted not for committing a crime, but on a technicality. They were convicted for using a gun during a crime. You cannot charge a law enforcement officer for using a gun in the line of duty! That is the mother of all paradoxes.

Bush is a coward and a failure for pushing his open border agenda so erroneously that he was willing to abuse his power to ensure that examples were made of Ramos and Compean. I believe he was even more tenacious about imprisoning them because they themselves were Hispanic and exposed his open border agenda for the faux pas that it was; how dare a person of Hispanic nationality support border security and legal immigration.

Bush was wrong on open borders and comprehensive immigration and he was not going to have any Hispanic who may influence the civilian opinion, embarrassing him publicly. The prosecutor, who just happened to work for Bush, purposely hid facts from and misinformed the jury to sway the verdict; justice was not done. Those convicted under these circumstances are political prisoners. The trial was a show, a formality. Bush wanted them in prison and they were going no matter what. He made a mockery of our justice system.

This is why Bush did not pardon Ramos and Compean; not because they were criminals convicted of a crime, but because by pardoning them he would be admitting to having a part in them being falsely prosecuted because of his political agenda. A pardon, by definition, is forgiving a crime or criminal so Bush's reason for only commuting their sentence in a White House statement "They’re guilty as charged; it’s a simple question of the sentence having been too draconian. Hence the commutation instead of a pardon." is a ridiculous and egregious statement.

I always thought that the point of a Presidential pardon was for those cases where a prisoner was wrongly convicted. Instead Bush seems to think of it as an opportunity to put criminals and drug dealers back on your streets while keeping those who embarrassed him behind bars or labeled criminals. I am ashamed that I ever placed my vote on such a pathetic Presidency.

Update from the House Republican Study Committee (RSC)

RSC Update: Monday, January 19, 2009

From the Chairman:
With a Congress already known for irresponsible fiscal policy, last week brought an especially unsettling episode as Democrats unveiled their $825 billion 'stimulus' package. The proposal validates all the fears of conservatives who understand more wasteful government spending is not the way to awaken our struggling economy. Just a few of the emergency "stimulants" in the Democrat package include:

$600 million for the federal government to buy new cars
$650 million for DTV conversion coupons
$50 million for the National Endowment of Arts
$200 million to go toward planting grass on the National Mall

In fact, for all the talk of "shovel-ready" infrastructure projects, only THREE percent of the bill is reserved for road and highway spending.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her loyal allies still don't seem to understand that throwing money at our problems will not make them go away. The American people
know, however, that there is a better way. With that in mind, the Republican Study Committee, with the help of Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), last week unveiled H.R. 470, the Economic Recovery Act, a bill that uses proven, practical solutions to spark economic growth.

The Economic Recovery Act provides urgent and long-term growth through tax relief for both families and business, as well as a cut in spending to relieve our grandchildren from a crushing debt burden. Our legislation includes an across-the-board five percent tax cut on individuals and a significant cut in the corporate tax rate, amongst
other pro-growth measures. Real growth will only come by encouraging American families, entrepreneurs, and businesses to save and invest, and by again rewarding risk and hard work.

A great debate over the future our children and grandchildren will inherit is now under way. The American people are looking for solutions, and the Economic Recovery Act is a specific proposal that provides them. We seek to lift ourselves out of economic despair while preserving the market system that has provided us the greatest economy in the world – and your help is imperative. I encourage you to write, talk, and blog about our solutions. Contact your member of Congress about the Economic Recovery Act, share its virtues with your neighbors, and
forward this email to a friend. The only thing that can provide us positive solutions and save future generations from a trillion dollar boondoggle is the united voice of the American people. We hope you will join us.

Rep. Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA)
Chairman, House Republican Study Committee

RSC Media Activity
Every week, Republican Study Committee members work hard to ensure that the conservative viewpoint is well-represented in all corners of the media. Townhall: A Stimulus that Works
Rep. Mary Fallin (OK-05)

With the economy stalled and a prolonged recession seeming all but inevitable, almost everyone agrees the federal government needs to act quickly and seriously to turn things around. President-elect Obama has put economic recovery on the top of his list, for good reason, and it is heartening to see that tax cuts make up a significant part of his stimulus plan. Unfortunately, these tax cuts appear to be mostly temporary and coupled with massive, and in many cases permanent, new spending. We in the Republican Study Committee, a group of over 100 House conservatives, think we have a better plan. We presented our alternative, the Economic Recovery and Middle Class Relief Act, today. (

House Floor Activity
The following key legislation saw a vote on the House floor this week:

Children’s Health Insurance Program reauthorization Act (H.R. 2) renews the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) but not without a price. This politically loaded bill is favored by Democrats and increases spending on the program from the $40 billion spent over the previous ten years to a total of $60 billion over just the next four and a half year years. To account for this spending, the bill increases taxes by over $70 billion over ten years. It is largely seen as a step toward government-run health care. The bill also weakens proof of citizenship requirements for SCHIP eligibility. Passed 289-139.

U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean

It is being reported that U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are not eligible for a pardon, but they might be eligible for a commutation of their sentences, which would reduce the time they serve. It may be recommended to President Bush to commute their sentence as "time served". While it would be wonderful to see these two political prisoners finally released and free, not pardoning them is the wrong move for President Bush.

He is throwing out enough crumbs to shut the people up without doing the right thing and admitting they were wrongly imprisoned in the first place. "Not eligible"? Give me a break! Bush has already pardoned criminals including drug dealers. If he so chose, it would be done. These men are guilty of nothing except doing their job.

If you are going to punish law enforcement personnel for doing their job then don't have laws to enforce to begin with, and there is the problem; Bush doesn't want any law or enforcement at the borders. He would rather allow open borders and any criminal or terrorist that comes with it, then to take the right stand and secure the borders.

What is wrong with making people immigrate legally? That is the way it must be to keep control. Bush has not kept us safe from another terrorist attack, he has only lucked out that another attack has not occurred. Between open borders and Homeland Security abusing its power to harass Americans instead of focusing only on terrorists it is only by the Grace of God one hasn't happened.

THESE United States - Home To No Unwilling Victim

Don't let the title get you rilled up before you read this entire article; My point is true, but hard to swallow for some. First THESE United States are just that; States (countries) united together, but still separately sovereign. Our federal government has forgotten this completely since Abraham Lincoln.

With Obama comparing himself to Lincoln and associating his inauguration and Presidency to that of Lincoln I think it would do well for every American to learn the real and unbiased history of Lincoln. What he did to the Republic was not as great or heroic as we have been taught; his legacy is one of imposing an unconstitutional dictoral control and prohibiting the the Constitutional rights of sovereign countries to rule themselves.

He did this by raising an army against its own causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans, imprisoning those who spoke out against his actions, and claiming achievements he did not accomplish. This is not the history I would want to be linked to if I were Obama.

Instead I would rather relate myself to the freedoms these United States has given us through the Constitution and Bill of Right; something Obama and the Obamanation holds as an abomination. Now for my point of "No Unwilling Victims"; speaking in terms of equality, opportunity, and rights there is no other nation that gives each of us every opportunity to enjoy the rights and freedoms it has to offer. In the form of the true Republic it was founded as, that is.
The watered down and tainted version of our Republic we live in today is not even a shadow of the greatness and freedom we once had. Why? Because the federal government has stolen powers it does not Constitutionally have. Our federal government more resembles a dictatorship now then government "for and by the people" it should be.

This brings in the socialist concept that the underprivileged are that because of oppression from some other group. This brings in the concept that we are a nation of victims, that somehow everything that goes wrong in our lives is someone else's fault. Fueled by a government that understands that control comes from victimizing its population to the point that they look to its government for the answers and the solution. In looking to the government to solve their VICTIM status they become willing to give up every right, freedom, and opportunity for equality they once had.

You see each of us has the opportunity to overcome each of these situations, in a free Republic, if we so choose to take it. The catch is that it requires hard work and sacrifice for most of us. To a growing number of people in our society this is unacceptable; why should they work and sacrifice when they can sit back on the fat and growing behinds and collect government benefits they did not earn? Whether you call these benefits welfare, government assistance, or Obama tax credits there is no difference. It is one group willingly victimizing themselves to allow socialism to benefit their self imposed neediness.

In a truly free Republic these same people would be out willing to work and earn what they could while getting necessary support from family, friends, and community when it was not enough. This is an insufferable picture to most these days and that is a shame. These willing victims are spurring the onset of socialism in THESE United States. Starting out as a slow infiltration into our government it is now out in the open and the willing victims of America have their arms wide open.

What do they not get? If you are being treated unfairly, paid unfairly, or living in unfair conditions; pick up and get out! Don't tell me that some don't have that option. We live in America for God's Sake! Everyone of us has that option. Most chose to not exercise it because of the work and sacrifice it would require. You can get a new job, move to a new city, or state. What ever you chose to do. If you have to work two jobs, or rent an apartment or a house to improve your situation then do it. It doesn't happen overnight, it takes time. Don't look to the government to provide your health care, your food, your home or create unconstitutional hate crime laws that discriminate against a targeted group of people. Fix it your self. Get out there and cease your Constitutional rights for yourself.

Those of you who are willing victims and would dare be insulted by my words heed this; you are a willing victim in every sense of the word. Don't confuse this term with victims of crime and try to change the subject; it won't be tolerated. We are dealing with lifestyles and life choices; the choice to be a victim or be successful. It does not matter what the excuse is, in our Republic there is a choice and you have not made it. Bad things happen to good people everyday; the choice to rise above it or become a victim to it is yours.

For those of you who have rose above or refuse to sink to this abominable state I congratulate and thank you for the sake of our Republic. I also implore you to take a stand against socialism and fight every attempt our leadership makes to impose socialist programs and laws upon us before we become the unwilling victims of a repressed society.
