Whenever a liberal politician or supporter disliked you or your ideas the race card would come flying. Everyone would immediately go on the defensive and beg not to be called a racist. They would rush to donate to appropriate minority causes. They would go around telling everyone who would listen they were not a racist and the initial issue they brought up was lost to history.
The honest truth is there has not been slavery in the United States in our lifetime. There is opportunity for everyone in this great Republic and contrary to the propaganda racism is not limited to Whites. I have often thought that you could say anything about Whites, Asians, or Southerners in general. It was almost as if on a daily basis you had to prove you were not a racist.
After enduring this our entire lifetime it has come to the point where I believe that discrimination against Whites is openly encouraged through hate crimes legislation and affirmative action. Both are affronts to the Constitution. It is not progress when the laws are not equally applied and when there is not equal competition for a job or college admissions. I believe America has grown weary of the fake racism claims.
Racism exists in every culture of this world because all human are sinful, yet racists are such a minority that they are not openly accepted and they are no where near the threat that it has been made out to be. The bigger threat is from socialism and those who would use fake racist accusations to limit debate and free speech.
Now that the Democrat Party has evoked the fake racism card on over half the country it is time to end it once and for all. American is stronger when we all work together; we don't need the Left grouping us and stereo typing us in an attempt to divide and conquer. During my time in the military I served with many nationalities and ethnic groups; almost all were as conservative or more conservative than myself. Yet, their families had voted Democrat and so they did.
It is time for those Conservatives to come home. We welcome you into the Republican Party, the true Conservative Party. We are taking it back from the RINO's. Don't allow the Democrats to divide us any longer with fake claims that only mask their own prejudices; you won't be separated into groups with us, we are all Americans fighting for our Republic. We can no longer allow the bigotries of the Left to stand in the way of reclaiming our founding fathers' vision.
Stand together and 2010 will be remembered as the year we reclaimed our Republic as one conservative nation with strong states and a weak federal government, as it should be. Your vote matters, don't throw it away on those who are just using you and harbor a resentment and bitterness towards our nation.

Today is a very special day where we lift our prayers to heaven for our POW's, MIA's, and their families to all those families out there who have lived with this sacrifice for so many years. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your family members have given and sacrificed for our Republic in a way none of us can truly understand. To our POW's and MIA's; you will never be forgotten, we will never give up the search, and God is with you no matter where you are.
I want to share this poem that UpInAK wrote for a friend. I found it quite moving.
You are not forgotten.
You are not left behind.
We will always come back for you.
When there is peace in that time.
And though you may keep walking, through that valley, keep your head held high!
Keep in mind, The we Americans will bring you home to rest through the mines.

For decades the insurance industry has been lobbying for mandated coverage for everyone. Imagine if the cell phone industry or the cable TV industry received such a gift from government? If government were to fine individuals simply for not buying a corporation’s product, it would be an incredible and completely unfair boon to that industry, at the expense of freedom and the free market. Yet this is what the current healthcare reform plans intend to do for the very powerful health insurance industry. [read more]

Iran nuclear talks deadline comes and goes
The opening of the 64th UN General Assembly this week marked an informal deadline set by the international community for Iran to engage in meaningful negotiations over its defiant nuclear program.
Back in July, the G-8 nations announced that the start of the General Assembly on September 15 "would be an occasion for taking stock of the situation in Iran."
Nearly everyone in the international community understood that to be a hard deadline for Iran to shape up and respond positively to offers for serious talks by US President Barack Obama and his European allies. Most expected that if Iran failed to accept the offer and meet the deadline, Obama and the EU would be forced to impose harsher sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
But the deadline has passed, and there is no talk of upping pressure on Iran. Israeli experts fear that vague statements from Tehran in recent days that the Iranian regime is ready for talks on some level are being used as an excuse by the Obama Administration to not escalate punitive measures.
With Glyn Davies, the US ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), acknowledging last week that Iran can probably already build at least one nuclear bomb, Israel is further concerned that the Obama Administration has already accepted that Iran will go nuclear. In such a scenario, Washington believes it can rely on the same kind of deterrence policies that kept the Soviet Union at bay for decades.
In a position paper addressing the issue, former Israeli Ambassador to the UN Dore Gold warned that approach would be a mistake. "Iran is a true revolutionary power whose aspirations extend into the oil-producing states," wrote Gold. To say nothing of the Iranian leadership's religious beliefs that destroying Israel will hasten the coming of their Muslim messiah.

I just have to add, I have no idea how he put up with those stupid callers. People begging for socialism and handouts apparently without a clue what freedom and capitalism is about.
Today marks the 222nd anniversary of the formation and signing of our Constitution. The United States Constitution is one of the greatest founding documents in history because it charted a bold new path in the realm of political theory. Not only does the Constitution establish checks and balances within the federal government, it also divides power among the federal government, the states, and the people. The Founders understood that it is the nature of government to grow at the expense of the people’s liberty; and with that in mind, they established a form of government that would be limited in scope and power in order to maximize power to the people.
Today, let’s also take the opportunity to thank our armed forces. The weight of defending our liberty rests on their shoulders, and because of their efforts and sacrifice, we can celebrate the 222nd anniversary of the formation of our Constitution.

Washington, Sep 17 - House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives voted 345-75 to pass the Defund ACORN Act:
“Today’s overwhelming bipartisan vote to stop all federal funding of ACORN is a victory for American taxpayers. Of course, it is only the beginning. We need to keep up the fight to end taxpayer funding for this troubled organization.
“House Republicans have worked tirelessly to sever ACORN’s ties to the federal government. Those efforts began to bear fruit late last week when the Census Bureau ended its relationship with ACORN under steady pressure from Republican lawmakers. Though today’s vote indicates that the writing’s on the wall for ACORN, President Obama must indicate whether he will join the Congress in taking decisive action to break all government ties with this corrupt organization.
“I’d like to applaud Oversight & Government Reform Committee Ranking Member Darrell Issa (R-CA), Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), and Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) for the great work they and other House Republicans have done to hold ACORN accountable for its abuse of taxpayer dollars and the public trust.”
NOTE: Earlier this week, Leader Boehner introduced H.R. 3571, the Defund ACORN Act, which has now been adopted as part of H.R. 3221, the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2009. An analysis of federal data by the Office of the Republican Leader staff determined that ACORN has received more than $53 million in direct funding from the federal government since 1994, and has likely received substantially more indirectly through states and localities that receive federal block grants. House Republicans have also sent a letter to President Obama asking him to use his authority to end all funding to and break all government ties with ACORN.
September 17, 2009
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) today issued the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to cut all federal funding for ACORN:
“ACORN has violated serious federal laws, and today the House voted to ensure that taxpayer dollars would no longer be used to fund this corrupt organization. All federal ties should be severed with ACORN, and the FBI should investigate its activity. This united Republican effort to defund ACORN was a victory for the rule of law and taxpayers across the country.”
U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, delivered the following remarks today after announcements that the Obama administration will abandon plans to place a missile defense system in the Czech Republic and Poland after Russia expressed displeasure with the idea:
"Only a year since Russia invaded Georgia, and 70 years to the day since the Soviet Union invaded Poland, the Obama administration is continuing its policy of appeasing adversaries at the expense of our allies.
"History teaches us that weakness and appeasement invite aggression against peaceful nations. In advance of direct talks with an Iran that has publicly ruled out discussions over its nuclear program, the administration now seems to be appeasing Russia, a country with deep ties to that dangerous regime.
"The first nine months of the Obama administration have emboldened rogue dictators across the globe, and now an increasingly antagonistic Russia has been rewarded for bullying and threatening its neighbors. Not since the Carter administration has America looked so weak on the international stage."

from the Office of Senator Mitch McConnell
Thursday, September 17, 2009
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following statement Thursday regarding the administration’s decision to abandon an important missile defense program:
“The administration’s decision to abandon an important missile defense program for the defense of NATO and our allies in Poland and the Czech Republic, in my view, is both shortsighted and harmful to our long-term security interests. We must not turn our backs on two loyal allies in the War on Terror. Further, the administration has secured no apparent commitment from the Russians to work with us to reduce either the missile or nuclear threat from Iran. More troubling will be if the administration has made these concessions to Russia in pursuit of expediting ill-considered arms control deals.”
September 17, 2009
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) today issued the following statement after reports indicated that the Obama Administration would scrap efforts to build a missile-defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic, abandoning our commitments to those important European allies and weakening our national defense:
“I am extremely disappointed to learn about the Administration’s decision to abandon an important foreign policy commitment to two of our key allies. Scrapping our missile defense effort in Europe has severe consequences for our diplomatic relations and weakens our national security. Our allies, especially Poland and the Czech Republic, deserve better and our people deserve smarter and safer.
“The Administration’s misguided action will cause our eastern European allies to question our commitment to their people and security, while heightening concerns in Israel. The European deployment is the only system that can protect both the U.S. and Europe against the common threat of an Iran armed with nuclear weapons and the capability to deliver them. I will work to overturn this wrong-headed policy.”
Will Democrats Support House GOP’s Defund ACORN Act? More Than $53 Million in Federal Funding Has Gone to ACORN Since 1994
Washington, Sep 17 - While House Republicans have renewed their efforts to end federal funding for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) once and for all, a look back at just the past year reveals the countless opportunities Majority Democrats had to join Republicans in reigning in ACORN. Instead, they rejected numerous attempts by House Republicans to cut off the flow of taxpayer dollars and bring much-needed transparency to an organization whose employees have recently been accused of serious crimes.
THE “POWERS THAT BE” SAID ‘NO’
• Following testimony about ACORN at a subcommittee hearing on the 2008 election, Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) declared the accusations against ACORN a “pretty serious matter” and suggested that the committee examine them. Conyers later put a stop to the idea, saying that “[t]he powers that be decided against it.” Who exactly are the “powers that be”? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)? Other Democratic leaders? The Administration?
KEEP THE MONEY FLOWING
• Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) offered an amendment to the Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act (H.R 1728) during a Financial Services Committee markup to ban groups like ACORN from receiving housing counseling and legal assistance funds, and the amendment was accepted by voice vote. The next day, Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-MA) said that he “made a mistake” by accepting Bachmann’s amendment and stated his intent to “correct” it. Frank offered his amendment to weaken Bachmann’s amendment on the House floor, and it passed by a vote of 245-176 on May 7, 2009.
• Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) filed an amendment to the Democrats’ trillion-dollar “stimulus” – officially mis-named as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (H.R. 1) – with the Rules Committee to prohibit non-profit groups such as ACORN from receiving federal funds. However, the Democratic-controlled Rules Committee refused to make the amendment in order for consideration on the House floor on January 27, 2009.
• Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL) offered an amendment to the Financial Services Committee’s Budget Views and Estimates that would have instituted safeguards against and restrictions to groups such as ACORN receiving taxpayer dollars. It was defeated by a roll call vote of 27-37 in the Financial Services Committee on March 11, 2009.
• Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) offered an amendment to the Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act (H.R. 1728) to require ACORN and affiliated organizations to provide for more transparency and accountability with any funds received under this legislation. It was defeated by voice vote in the Democratic-controlled Rules Committee on May 6, 2009.
• Rep. Steve King (R-IA) offered an amendment to the Enhancing Small Business Research and Innovation Act (H.R. 2965) to prohibit ACORN and its affiliate organizations from participating in a rural development and outreach program. It was defeated by a roll call vote of 4-7 in the Democratic-controlled Rules Committee on July 7, 2009.
• Rep. King offered an amendment to the 2010 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act (H.R. 3288) to prohibit funds in the bill from being made available to ACORN or any of its affiliate organizations. It was defeated by a roll call vote of 2-7 in the Democratic-controlled Rules Committee on July 22, 2009.
• Rep. King and Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL) offered amendment to the FY 2010 Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Act (H.R. 3293) to prohibit funding in the bill from being made available to ACORN or any of its affiliate organizations. It was defeated by a roll call vote of 4-7 in the Democratic-controlled Rules Committee on July 23, 2009.
The Majority now has yet another opportunity to join House Republicans in severing all ties between the federal government and ACORN by supporting the Defund ACORN Act. Enough is enough. The American people are tired of seeing their tax dollars wasted on an organization accused of serious crimes and they want to defund ACORN once and for all. House Democrats have a choice to make: Will they side with American taxpayers, or will they continue to protect ACORN?
He has an opportunity to introduce himself to the public for the first time, while having a very dedicated core group of supporters already in place. With over a million dollars already donated Schiff will be able to start the campaign on a high note. One of the things working in his favor is that he has already brought in over a million dollars with such low name recognition.
People are tired of politics as usual and Schiff offers the Connecticut voters a chance to bring in a private sector experience to replace Chris Dodd, a career politician.
If you would like to volunteer or support Peter Schiff his website is Peter Schiff for Senate 2010.

The Democrats are expanding their assault on Joe Wilson to include the entire South now. The Left has always despised the South since the creation of our Republic and they always will. I believe it is actually quite simple to explain it; even during the early founding years, in my opinion, the South has been more Godly and independent.
I do not mean this as a slight against any other region of the country. I have lived all over the country, especially thanks to Uncle Sam, and their are definitely good, Godly people everywhere, but the culture of the South seems to be based around God still to this day that is unlike what you see in New England or California.
I believe the true hatred the Left has is against God and because they see God in ever day Southern life they wish to destroy and humble people they consider to be backwards fools. The true racist is the Left and they need to concern themselves with why they feel it is always necessary to denigrate the South, deny God, and divide people along racial lines. The South is strong because of its diversity and because of that great diversity we grew up working with and living along side each other.
Since I have been living in the North I have noticed that the population lives more segregated along racial lines than you see in the South. I'll have more on this subject; no doubt some people will disagree with me, but it is some food for thought.
OBAMA MUST BACK IT
Catholic League president Bill Donohue offered the following remarks today on the health care bill:
Last week, President Obama said he would not support any health care bill that provided for federal funding of abortion. On Sunday, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius underscored his pledge. Now an amendment that would bar abortion funding from H.R. 3200 has been drafted by Congressmen Bart Stupak and Joe Pitts. On September 10, they sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, Chairwoman of the Rules Committee, asking that they allow all members of the U.S. House of Representatives “the right to vote their conscience” on this amendment.
President Obama did not mince words on this subject, and neither did Secretary Sebelius. Accordingly, we look for the president to publicly endorse this amendment, urging Congresswomen Pelosi and Slaughter to facilitate a House vote. This is a critical juncture—the time for the president to deliver on what he pledged is now. The Catholic community, in particular, anxiously awaits his next move.

RSC Media Activity
Every week, Republican Study Committee members work hard to ensure that the conservative viewpoint is well-represented in all corners of the media.
· Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (GA-03): Cash for Clunkers’ woes preview Obamacare; Weekly Column, September 10.
· Rep. Darrell Issa (CA-49): TARP and the Demands of Democracy; American Spectator, September 10.
· Chairman Tom Price (GA-06): Government as Workplace Dictator; The Hill, September 10.
RSC Legislative Activity
RSC members have made it a priority to introduce productive, conservative alternatives to the Democrats’ reckless agenda.
· Rep. Marsha Blackburn (TN-07) plans to introduce a resolution expressing Congress’ concerns about the President’s czars and calling for Congressional oversight hearings.
· Rep. Patrick McHenry (NC-10) has formally requested that the Committee of Oversight & Government Reform hold a hearing regarding the Obama administration’s unaccountable policy czars.
Here is a preview of upcoming Democrat proposals to advance their big-government, anti-taxpayer agenda.
· Democrats are now targeting the student loan market for a total government takeover. This week, the House will consider H.R. 3221, legislation that would abolish the Federal Family Education Loan program (a public-private partnership) and replace it with a system of government-run lending directly from the U.S. Treasury.
· This week, the House will also likely consider H.R. 3246, a bill that would spend nearly $3 billion on automotive research through the Department of Energy.
House Floor Activity
The following key legislation came through the House of Representatives last week.
· Last week, House Democrats attempted to suspend the rules and pass H.R. 324, a bill that would establish a new National Heritage Area of nearly 3,300 square miles in Arizona. Bills brought up under suspension of the rules are given very limited debate time and cannot be amended. However, they require a 2/3 majority for passage. The RSC led the charge against H.R. 324 due to a number of concerns regarding energy development, drug trafficking, and funding questions. The bill was defeated on suspension by a vote of 249-145.
Budget and Spending
Each week, the RSC Budget and Spending Taskforce compiles a weekly report on the latest budget and spending news. Additionally, the RSC Money Monitor tracks how bills passed by the House affect authorizations, mandatory spending, and federal government revenue.

If this were not evident prior to last Friday, then the killing of pro-life activist Jim Pouillon in Michigan on the eighth anniversary of 9-11 should make it clear. Literally every major pro-life organization condemned in categorical terms the killing of abortionist George Tiller immediately as it happened this summer, but we are still waiting to hear an outright condemnation of Pouillon's murder from Planned Parenthood or the National Organization for Women and other organizations that profit from and justify baby-killing. NARAL issued a pathetic "condemnation" which refused to recognize the anti-life motivation for this killing. After all, lies and killing are the business of these organizations: at six weeks, sixteen weeks or sixty-two years in Jim's case, they have no regard for the protection of the innocent if it does not support their anti-life agenda.
The summit of viciousness had to come, however, from the media, the propaganda mouthpiece for the killing industry. A local paper, The Flint Journal, published within 24 hours the entire legal record of the victim, including dismissed misdemeanors and traffic violations. Outside of the fact that this man was arrested and penalized numerous times precisely for his pro-life activism, have we ever heard of such a diabolic mockery of an innocent man's death? As far as I am concerned, Jim Pouillon will be granted a chance to stand up and testify against the editors of The Flint Journal on the day of their judgment. He will convict them of every vicious word. Woe to those journalists of iniquity! Their names will be blotted out of the Book of Life because they are sadistic enemies of life.
The evidence of pro-abortion viciousness is all around us for those who have eyes to see. HLI has documented thousands of cases of abortion violence and published the information on a special website (www.abortionviolence.com). It should convince any reader that the pro-death movement is the most violent and hateful social movement ever known to man, without exception.
Don't forget the social impact of decades of "pro-choice" rhetoric either. If you think it has not had any effect on our youth culture, take a look at a smattering of the comments that appeared the day of the shooting on the NBC 25 (Mid-Michigan) news comment section. The few that I have published below show only a fraction of the hate. That is all I have the stomach to write today. We will pray for the dear pro-life martyr, Jim Pouillon, who literally gave his life for babies; but more than anything, let us pray for these vicious enemies of life who will have a great deal to answer for when they are judged by a more severe force of Justice than the internet.
Some of the comments on the murder of James Pouillon received by NBC-25 Mid-Michigan News
One way to stop these nuts
Maybe the rest of these anti abortion nut-jobs will get a hint that people don't want to see these signs.
I'm glad this kook is gone.
Just consider it a retroactive abortion on another right wing whack job. No great loss. (This one was posted by a man calling himself Dave Devilish...)
I've never seen this man before, but I've seen others like him. The signs are so offensive that the issue becomes about the sign instead of being about abortion. He hurts the pro-life cause and I'm glad that he's gone.
One less Democracy-hating fundie terrorist to put up with. Did they think Americans would just allow them to go around stalking & murdering people and not face the backlash? He was harassing schoolchildren, and he got what was coming to him.
Pro-life = Anti-abortion
Since most "pro-lifers" I've spoken with are in favor of capital punishment, one can't help but marvel at their hypocrisy.
Religion is poison-a late-stage cancer in our world.
In sum, although these are just a sampling of the reactions of some anti-life Americans, we can be assured that the vicious spirit runs deep in our country. As people of faith it is our responsibility to get on our knees and pray that God will cleanse our national conscience of this evil and restore our nation to a culture of life.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol and his apparent fondness of Freemasons:
Dan Brown may loathe Catholics, but he just adores the Masons. “Brown goes out of his way in ‘The Lost Symbol’ to present the lodge as essentially benign and misunderstood,” says an AP story today. The Catholic Church, of course, is seen by Brown as essentially wicked and misunderstood only by its followers. “Masons are praised for their religious tolerance,” the article says. Somehow Catholics failed to notice: so abhorrent were Masons in their thrashing of Catholicism that the 1917 Code of Canon Law provided for automatic excommunication to any Catholic who joined a lodge. The current stricture in the Church, following the 1983 revisions to the Code, doesn’t mention Masons by name, but does retain excommunication for those who join anti-Catholic organizations.
In his new book, Brown defends the Masons against “unfair” portrayals. So kind of him. In real life Brown says he has “enormous respect for the Masons.” Must be their historic anti-Catholicism that won him over. Showing nothing but sweetness and light, the man who has made millions dumping on the Catholic Church says of his new work, “It’s a reverent look at their philosophy. I’m more interested in what they believe than all their rituals and conspiracy theories about them.” Now if only Brown had cut Catholics the same break.
Brown says his own religious beliefs are a “work in progress.” Indeed, he is a work in progress. “I spend part of every day thinking about religion, spirituality and God—maybe more than people who go to church. By Sunday, I’m pretty tired.” Good choice. The Lord said that was the day to rest. Maybe Brown will convert yet.
Ron Howard must be salivating at the thought of directing the film version. At least he won’t have the Catholic League to kick him around.

Like it or not we live in a global economy. If the Obama administration enacts policies that make it too expensive to manufacture products in the United States, those products will be made in other countries and shipped here.
Numerous studies have documented how the grossly misnamed Affordable Energy Act of 2009, also known as Cap and Trade or more accurately Cap and Tax, will raise the cost of energy for every American. If the cost of all energy rises dramatically, will industrial production stay in this country or will it move to China or India that is not constrained by the cost of energy regulations? China and India already enjoy a significant cost advantage over American producers in many fields; this will just exacerbate that advantage.
While the US taxpayers are paying to support the preservation of United Auto Workers jobs, with outlandish pay and benefit costs, at GM and Chrysler, the same administration is willing to drive industrial production overseas. Perhaps this is why the administration is also supporting Card Check legislation that will allow easy unionization of millions of workers in the service industries. It knows that its other policies will destroy millions of well paying industrial jobs in this country. Based upon the Spanish government's experiences with subsidizing alternative energy sources through higher conventional energy prices, Cap and Tax will destroy 2 million jobs per year in this country.
For such a damaging plan to be seriously considered there must be a group that benefits from its passage. Just as Joseph Kennedy benefited handsomely from FDR's programs in the 1930's, it turns out that some of main benefactors of this program are also politically very well connected.
In 2004, Al Gore, former Vice President and author of Inconvenient Truth, started Generational Investment Management (GIM) to provide funding to businesses associated with alternative energy. GIM also happens to own 10% of the Chicago Climate Exchange, which will issue the carbon credits that Cap and Tax legislation is based upon.
In 2007, Al Gore became a partner in the venture capital firm of Kleiman, Perkins, Claufield and Byers (KPCB). This firm is heavily invested in renewable energy and electrical grid improvements. The market for their products is almost completely dependent on government programs in the form of subsidies, tax breaks or regulation. Al Gore's contribution to KPCB is to promote government intervention into the energy markets.
It is not surprising that venture capital firms and investment firms that will have a stake in the trading of carbon credits, have made extensive campaign contributions to those legislators proposing Cap and Trade legislation. Clearly, the American public looses in the form of higher energy costs and lost jobs however, a few politically well connected individuals will have much to gain as the result of further government regulation of energy consumption.

I strongly disagree with the assertion that Bush was strong on the war. Many of us veterans knew, from the moment we were hit on 9-11, that the military was drastically undermanned. Yet, Bush resisted all attempts to increase the size of the military. He moved from Afghanistan to Iraq without victory in Afghanistan. He went into Iraq with too few forces and then hamstrung our military to a bunch of lawyers and political generals unwilling to fight to win.
Did we win WWII with a hearts and minds campaign? No. We firebombed Japanese cities and carpetbombed German cities; and as hard as it might be to admit, it saved lives in the end. We now are allies with both countries. A hearts and minds campaign was tried in Vietnam, as was the lawyers approach to war, and it failed miserably. Not our troops efforts as they won battle after battle, just like in Afghanistan now, but the war was ultimately lost as were American lives because of the bleeding-heart liberal approach to war.
The bottom line is the slow hearts and minds approach leads to more deaths, more suffering, and encourages nations to challenge the United States because of our appearance of weakness; thanks to weak leadership. If we would have declared war officially through Congress and fought to win from day one, holding no conventional forces back, the world would be safer, our troops would be back home, and our treasury would not be depleted.

If we do not act now, they will move forward tomorrow with their sanction against Rep. Joe Wilson. Democrats, led by Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Majority Whip James Clyburn (S.C.), and other black lawmakers connived to get Nancy Pelosi to cave and go after a resolution of disapproval against Wilson.
What Wilson did is what should be happening in Congress regularly. There should be healthy and truthful constructive criticism, debate, and critique; that is the way it was intended. Where was their outrage when the Dems disrespected Bush during his state of the Union addresses? The double standard and preferential treatment of Democrat agendas is done, we are not going to take any more.
We call for you to spread the word quickly; we need to flood our representatives phones, faxes, and emails with our outrage, disgust, and our demand that they end this witch hunt and do their job. They should be working on defeating Obamacare, not using these shenanigans to divert our attention away from it. Be a Paul Revere for our Republic and get the word out.
Also, Rob Miller (Wilson's Democrat opponent) has received an outpouring of contributions from the left to campaign against him; let's not let them win. Let's pour out our support for Wilson and make the Democrats waste all those resources that could go elsewhere. So show your support for Rep. Joe Wilson and turn the threat back on the Dems; after all, 2010 is coming soon.
If they don't back down and go forward with this resolution I will be posting a list of the names of the traitorous who vote for it and I call for you to do the same. They can run, but they can't hide.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) today issued the following statement after President Obama spoke in New York City about America’s financial markets:
“It is important that our financial markets are sound, and it is clear that we need smarter regulation – not necessarily more regulation. The culture of bailouts must end, and instead of adding yet another layer to the current patchwork regulatory system, we need to bring stability and security back to the market so credit starts flowing again, the housing market is revitalized, and jobs are created.
“The President missed an opportunity today to outline an exit strategy from the TARP program. I believe that all returned TARP funds should be used to pay down America’s exploding debt instead of new pet projects as some in Congress propose. Finally, the Administration did not give clear indication about their plans for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, or provide tangible benchmarks for the return of GM and Chrysler to private ownership.
“Since President Obama took office, over three million Americans have lost their jobs, including 2.5 million people since his stimulus took effect. At the time of its passage, the Administration argued that the stimulus would not only halt job loss, but create jobs and get the economy back on track in the short term. That has not occurred, and the President’s agenda has failed to create jobs.
“Beginning in January, House Republicans laid out a serious and substantive agenda that put jobs first, but unfortunately House Democrats, along with the White House, instead took an unfocused, ‘go it alone’ approach that puts too much emphasis on Washington, and too little upon people. ”
Those were the words of Benjamin Franklin upon being asked what kind of government the new nation had after the vote was taken to approve the Constitution. Yet, there is very little mention in the mainstream media these days about our republic. Schools for decades have taught that the USA is a democracy so maybe the media and so many of the adults who believe the same thing can be forgiven. However, it is imperative that Americans, as a nation know the difference between a democracy and a republic if we wish to keep our republic. [read more]
I have noticed that the killing of a pro-life activist in Michigan has received almost no attention. Glenn Beck is covering it a little this morning, but I am talking about the MSM. How much longer will the American people allow the news to be presented only from a far left view of the world. We deserve better and we should demand it through the publications we do purchase. Trust me, money speaks a lot louder than their political bias.
I want to ask that we all keep in mind and pray for our MIA's and POW's. I think it is important that we continue to pray for them and their families. I can think of nothing worse than not knowing. God bless our men and women struggling in Afghanistan and through out the world today.
I will leave you with a link on this interesting article on Mexico's war on the United States.

If there was more debate and accountability in the legislature process we would not end up with these atrociously bad bills and laws. The arguing, the back-and-forth, calling a liar a liar was all inteded to be part of the process; that is how it was done when our Republic was formed. Out with the niceties, rules, and regulations that only Republicans are held to.
Our leadership must pull off the gloves and stand up for us the way we are standing up for them. Nancy Pelosi and her commrads better back off from Rep. Joe Wilson or we may hold them accountable for their cover up job trying to give illegals healthcare.
Don't let their fake appeasements on the issue; if you break it down illegals still get healthcare. Not only should they not be getting taxpayer funded healthcare they should not be allowed to remain in the US. Here is what the White House is saying and what they really mean:
Statement released by the White House (if you can call it that)
*Undocumented immigrants would not be able to buy private insurance on the exchange. (They just won't have to pay for it) Those who are lawfully present in this country would be able to participate. *Undocumented immigrants would be able to buy insurance in the non-exchange private market, just as they do today. (When the non-exchange private market shrinks and fails they will be automatically covered by private insurance on the exchange) That market will shrink as the exchange takes hold, but it will still exist (No private company can minimally exist so we will take that over too) and will be subject to reforms such as the bans on pre-existing conditions and caps. (Big brother putting its hands in it does not belong again) *Verification will be required when purchasing health insurance on the exchange. (If you don't have a social security number please check here) One option is the SAVE program (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) (Systematic: while we spend years doing nothing to prove illegals are not citizens the illegal will receive full benefits until such time they are proven illegal at which time we will provide them with amnesty, thus making them legal) which states currently use to make sure that undocumented immigrants don't participate in safety-net programs for which they are ineligible. *There would be no change in the law that requires emergency rooms to treat people who need emergency care, including undocumented immigrants. (If your illegal don't bother with healthcare coverage, just go to the emergency room for everything) There is already a federal grant program that compensates states for emergency room costs associated with treatment of undocumented immigrants, (A major loophole! We will still cover illegals with taxpayer funds through the back door) a provision sponsored by a Republican lawmaker. (It's never we, the Democrats faults, it is always yours, the Republicans)
Since Obama likes to be thought of as the almighty the words of the Democrats, in my sarcastic interpretation, appear in red.
Joe Wilson: We Will Not Be Muzzled
In my humble opinion we should turn this on Nancy Pelosi: Down with Nancy, vote her out of the speakership for her abuses of her elected office!
h/t: The Palination
The crowd estimates from DC range from 2 million to about 75,000 from what I have read. I learned long ago not to put any weight into the liberal MSM's crowd estimates. During the tea parties in Wisconsin thousands were showing up, even in Madison, but they would report it as only a few hundred; when it was reported on.
This can be discouraging, however it is also an opportunity; many of the left are falling for their own propaganda. I have a feeling they will not be awakened to the truth until the day after election day 2010 when the majority of the House will find themselves unemployed and the Senate will look considerably different. America has awakened and the ruling class is still asleep. Lets keep our momentum so that we can bring this Republic back to its founding principles.
God bless America and Glenn Beck.
