Severe Cold Shows The Lunacy Of Global Warming Alarmism

Just a quick update: I am starting to feel quite a bit better. So, news has been rather interesting! Winter is striking across the Republic in stark contrast to the dire warnings we have been hearing from Al Gore and the liberal left about global warming. Unfortunately, a lot of liberal Republicans have bought into this; like John McCain.

I think the severe cold weather will wake a lot of complacent Americans to the truth; that God controls the weather and that it tends to run in cycles. You know, since liberals have been screaming about the end of the Earth due to either severe freezing or warming for generations you would think they would eventually get it right just by chance.

No, they are not going to be bailed out by the Earth ending through global warming they are going to have to go through the tribulation and the end of days and bow before their maker just as the Bible says.

Catholic League News Release

NEW YORK TIMES DECIDES THE NEWS

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on how the
New York Times
decides what’s newsworthy:

The
New York Times
has a story today about a gay activist who as a counselor learned about a case of homosexual statutory rape, but did not tell the boy to go to the authorities. Instead, he recommended the kid wear a condom. The man who gave this advice has been appointed by President Obama to be the new “Safe Schools Czar.” The story appears on p. 19. On the front page, above the fold, there is a story about a priest who had a consensual affair with a woman.

After a mid-western woman separates from her husband, she has an affair with a Franciscan priest. She gets pregnant and miscarries. They vow to “keep the relationship platonic,” but don’t. She gives birth to a boy. She signs a confidentiality agreement and the Franciscans fork over $85,000 to cover the costs of the birth, furniture for the baby, child support, legal fees, etc. The priest is sent for treatment. He gets out and the affair starts up again. The woman uses $38,000 of child support for a down payment on a house, the result of which is the money runs out before the boy is 18. She remarries. She gets divorced. She remarries. The Franciscans pay half of the boy’s college expenses, plus a stipend of almost $600 a month, until he is 21. The Franciscans pay 50 percent of her son’s cancer treatment expenses. She goes to New York with her lawyer husband for a one-week consultation regarding her son’s tumors. The Franciscans give them $1,000 to cover the trip. They stay in a New York hotel for three months, expecting the Franciscans to pony up again. They don’t. Hence, she breaks her confidentiality agreement and goes public.

There is a reason why this story about an irresponsible priest and an irresponsible woman merited 2,424 words on p. 1, and the story about the irresponsible gay activist turned “Schools Czar” merited 488 words on p. 19: the lead story was about ginning up public sentiment against priestly celibacy.

Celibacy causes priests to cheat the same way marriage causes spouses to cheat—it provides the opportunity but does not determine the conduct.

Founding Fathers Quote

How prone all human institutions have been to decay; how subject the best-formed and most wisely organized governments have been to lose their check and totally dissolve; how difficult it has been for mankind, in all ages and countries, to preserve their dearest rights and best privileges, impelled as it were by an irresistible fate of despotism.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin got pilloried for suggesting that the government-run health care system set up under the bills in Congress would lead to "death panels." But, now, a video has surfaced showing Obama economics advisor Robert Reich essentially admitting Palin was right. [read more]

You Won't Believe The Latest Line Being Used Against Israel

So, interesting article about the Palestinians equating suicide bombers with the building of Jewish homes. This is completely ridiculous, first of all the land is Israel's, history and the Bible back that up. Another thing, slaughtering innocent women and children through terrorism is never justified or comparable to Israeli construction. God bless Israel and protect her despite our current anti-Israel president.

Where's The Global Warming?

As I freeze, yet again today, I am left to ponder; where is the global warming I was promised? I feel lied to and scammed. After all, it should be close to 90 degrees and I should be wearing shorts and sipping an iced tea. Instead I am huddled in the living room with the heat cranked up. Just when the Democrats had finally concocted a disaster I was going to enjoy reality has set in again; there is no global warming and all of us stuck in the North are just going to have to freeze. But, here is some sunny South to warm the night.

The Liberal Mindset

While searching the web for our material I discovered a forum that was discussing a post I wrote about Margaret Sanger. To avoid the issue that the poster had brought to their attention they mention that he violated our copyright.

No matter what he did to right the situation they kept skirting his original intent; her quotes. So I joined and left a post giving him permission to use the post and called attention again to the quotes he had referenced. Now the liberals are trying, once again, to skirt the issue of her quotes and calling it a mute point.

This is exactly the problem with the liberal mindset; you can never have an honest and frank discussion based upon the facts and reality. Because the liberal mind is unaffected by reality and refuses to accept it.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The Obama administration has no plans to withdraw the nomination of pro-abortion activist attorney Dawn Johnsen, who would head the Office of Legal Counsel if approved by the Senate. However, the chances of her confirmation are sketchy because of her pro-abortion activism. [read more]

Weekend Adventures Of A Sick Father

What a horrible weekend. I have been so sick and we got our first snowfall, though it did not last. Every time the kids start back to school they sick some kind of flu on me, though luckily not the swine flu;-) My wife had to work long hours on Saturday and taking care of five kids is exhausting when you are not sick let alone when the last thing you want to do is move.

Though, in a sort of minor miracle the school decided to not send home 50 pages of homework. Since school started this year I have been buried in an avalanche of paperwork from the school. They really need to come up with an opt out for all the spam they send home. I mean really, if I wanted my daughter to join the Girl Scouts or drive my kids two counties over to go to a Halloween haunted house I would do it on my own. I can't even begin to tell you how much trash I have to throw out on a weekly basis from the school and in Wisconsin they charge you extra for any trash that does not fit into the tiny little trash can they give you. Heck, just a regular diaper load fills that can.

On the good side Alabama won again, for which I am really grateful and we got a ton of quality family time today. We are well on our way to a national title, though I don't want to jinx us. Every game is important and considering how Alabama and Texas both got hosed last year I won't take it for granted.

I am just really tired of putting up with Obama so I avoided the news this weekend. Though, now I am worried about what I am going to read tomorrow. If Obama is headed to the Temple in Jerusalem when I tune in tomorrow I am grabbing my bible and feverishly praying;-)

I apologize for such a rambling post, but I am too sick to do a detailed one and if it is too bad I can always delete it tomorrow.

Too Busy Too Smell The Flowers

(Metaphorically since we had our first snow now)

How life has a way of getting in the way; I have been so busy by the time I even get a chance to think about posting I am too tire to follow through. A new job with new responsibilities and God leading us in a new direction with new priorities has really sucked the fun right out of me. I feel like the princess who turns into the ogre at night; nothing I can do about it, it just happens. I know our goal and God has confirmed his plan for us, but getting there without him seems a near impossibility. Don't get me wrong; I already know he is going to open and provide the way, but without his strength I may physically fail long before the finish line. Knowing I am not the only sailor on this boat so I figured I would send out a request. Your prayers for strength and courage will be greatly appreciated and in return I pray that God bless you and grant your life's needs.

Thank you, my friends.

Mary, mother of God, I seek your protection
over those who I consider friend.
Keep them close to your heart
And intercede on their behalf
Before our Lord Jesus Christ
That they might have strength, integrity,
Comfort, and peace in all they do.
Make their path clear
And their work prosperous.
See that their every need
Is provided for as was baby Jesus'.
Take my prayer to the Lord God Almighty.
Amen
