The Mounting Proof Of The Demand For Conservative Leadership

In my prior post I spoke about how the Republican leadership has betrayed the Conservative base and has been suffering the consequences; with more to come if they don't get a clue. Every where you look you can see the proof if you don't have blinders on.

For example, in New Jersey's governors race you have the Republican and Independent tickets sharing a combined 56% of the potential vote in the polls. Had the Republican leadership in our neglectful establishment heeded the signs and thrown their support behind the Conservative candidate instead of the liberal with an R at the end of their name they would have a comfortable lead right now.

Instead our Republic is suffering a slightly slower dissolution than that it would have under Democratic rule with no opposition at all. If you want to remain in the leadership then lead where we are demanding or suffer the consequential loss of your position. We won't allow you to stand in our way to a Constitutional government forever.

Palin's Power

Amazing news out of the New York 23rd race. Within hours of Palin's endorsement, Doug Hoffman has raised an astonishing amount of money. This should be a wake up call to the talking heads and the establishment of the Republican Party. You cannot just put an R at the end of a liberal's name and expect us to blindly follow.

We have new leadership and Gov. Palin is leading the way to Conservative, responsible government. If you don't wake up soon you are going to be left behind. I truly believe this is just the start of things to come. Considering the strong candidates we have running the landscape of DC can be changed as early as 2010 with a Conservative, pro-liberty government.

It is past time for the Senate and house to realize that they are not just a rubber stamp for the White House. We seen it under Bush and now we are seeing the same thing under Obama. The people's House has turned into a socialist House and the Senate cannot even contain the bloated egos and special interests that permeate its chamber.

US Sovereignty Is Under Attack

Chilling video and, from what I can tell, absolutely accurate. If you click on the video and then on the more information button you can download a copy of the draft resolution. Then you need to light up your sentators phone lines and demand that they not support this unconstitutional treaty.

The Fall Of The RINO - The Conservative Voice Of America Will Be Heard Around The World

The end has come for the Republican leadership and they know it. Their time is up and their usefulness in no longer relevant. They have gone the way of the progressive liberal and have turned their backs on the party. In their elite little circles they have long dictated to us our platforms and our candidates.

Just like their liberal role models they have fallen into the depths of dark political mire that has allowed them to believe that they know what is best for us; that we are incapable of making intelligent or responsible decisions. They use talking points and scare tactics to keep the Conservative base in its place; voting for them.

The golden age of the liberal Republican is over because we say it is over; because we know better what is best for us; because we are tired of our party taking part in the slow decay to socialism this Republic's fading Constitution has found itself in. The Benedict Arnold's, the RINO's, of the Republican Party should take note of this; you are obsolete, you are done, we don't need you or your candidates any more; we reject you and all you stand for.

When a Republican backslides into a progressive tailspin and spews ignorant jargon about supporting liberal Republican candidates to keep the liberal Democratic candidate from winning we should strip them of the position we gave them and send them back home where they came from. They may have forgotten, but we have not; they only have their position to serve at our pleasure and we are none to pleased.

The days of Republican leadership selling out our freedom, liberty, and sovereignty to progressives who seek utter control and absolute power have given way to original intent. There are those who have infiltrated our party over many generations and have situated themselves as the harbingers of the people's candidates. They have become corrupted by the temptations of power and have betrayed the people to retain that power. They make their eloquent speeches and brilliant deductions and while spinning their illusions to cloak their betrayal have fallen for their own deceptions.

When we see people like Newt Gingrich endorse liberal GOP nominee Dede Scozzafava over the people's candidate Doug Hoffman using the foolish reasoning that we must betray our values or lose to the Democrats that is it. I have had enough and there is a movement of Conservatives who have had it. Don't tell us that electing a liberal with an R at the end of their name is better than electing a liberal with a D at the end of their name! Don't tell us that winning by selling our souls to the devil is better than losing to the Democrats.

Let the Democrats win if they must; defeat is what will bring about a metamorphosis of the party from this progressive wanna-be party back to the very intention of our founding fathers. Let the Democrats own the destruction of all that is good so that that people will unite behind the true Conservative candidates and purge the nefarious progressiveness hell bent on the complete devastation of this Republic and all that is Godly.

We don't need modern day Benedicts influencing our votes or fear mongering to retain their own power and comforts. We are strong, we are determined, we are right, and we are taking back our party. We recognize the true hegemony of the Republican Party and our future and those who truly have our interest at heart; those like Sarah Palin and Fred and Jeri Thompson who understand that Conservative candidates are going to be the only candidates who can win the Conservative base.

Without the Conservative base the Republican Party is nothing and they know it; do you? That is true power and they don't want you to know that. Take that power back and vote for those who will go to Washington and serve you; put your support and your votes behind those like Doug Hoffman, Marco Rubio, Ray McBerry, Michele Bachmann, Pat Toomey, Rand Paul, Allen West, Chris Simcox, Joe Wilson, Tom Graves, Michael Williams, Chuck DeVore, Nikki Haley, Peter Schiff, Scott Walker.

Catholic League News Release

On October 18, Fox broadcast the 20th episode of “The Simpsons” Halloween special. One of the three stories, “Don't Have a Cow, Mankind,” was about people in Springfield becoming zombies after eating hamburgers infected with tainted meat.

After 28 days, Bart (the son) tries one of the infected hamburgers, but proves immune to the virus. He becomes the “Chosen One” and the Simpsons go off to find the safe zone where the rest of the uninfected people have gathered. When they get there a guard says, “Welcome, son. To survive, all we must do is eat your flesh.” Marge (Bart’s mother) responds by saying, “What kind of civilized people eat the body and blood of their savior?”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue responds as follows:

What kind of uncivilized people work at Fox? Last year, when they poked some gentle fun at the Apostle’s Creed on the Halloween episode, we said nothing. That’s because it didn’t cross the line. This year is different: mocking the heart of any religion always crosses the line, and mocking the Eucharist does it for Catholics. They know this at Fox, which is precisely why they did it.

Update from the House Republican Study Committee (RSC)

RSC Update: Monday, October 19, 2009

From the Chairman
It’s only been nine months since President Obama took office, but he has already made his mark as the biggest spending President in our country’s history. Having backed away from his pledge to “make the tough decisions,” President Obama continues down a path of unsustainable and out-of-control government spending.

The annual federal deficit came in last week at a record $1.42 trillion. This stunning total should give pause to all in Washington. Americans will be paying the price for the reckless spending of this Congress and President for generations to come, and the long-term prosperity of our nation will be under threat from a falling dollar, impending tax hikes, and rising interest rates.

Yet despite the clear consequences, Congressional Democrats have no intent to rein in deficit spending. In fact, they have announced plans to take $250 billion out of their health care plan and pass it separately without any offsets, adding a quarter-trillion dollars to our national debt in the first ten years. This obvious gimmick is the only way they have found to keep their government takeover of medicine beneath the President’s desired price tag of $900 billion. This much is clear - Democrats in Washington have no concern about “paying for” health care reform. They are only concerned with looking like they are paying for it.

As with every major issue facing this nation, the RSC has offered a better health care solution, H.R. 3400, which makes patient-centered health care reforms. It ensures patients will still be able to see their doctors, without adding a penny to our national debt. It’s time to put a stop to these runaway deficits and bring fiscal order back to Washington. There’s still time to address our budget problems and set our country on track for a brighter future.

Thanks for your support,

Congressman Tom Price
Chairman, Republican Study Committee

RSC Media Activity
Every week, Republican Study Committee members work hard to ensure that the conservative viewpoint is well-represented in all corners of the media.

· Republican Whip Eric Cantor (VA-07):
Beware of New Regulation of Derivatives; Investors Business Daily, October 15.

· Rep. Bill Cassidy (LA-06): The Power of Price; Washington Times, October 16.

· Rep. Sam Johnson (TX-03): Give Seniors a Choice; Washington Times, October 19.

RSC Legislative Activity
RSC members have made it a priority to introduce productive, conservative alternatives to the Democrats’ reckless agenda.

· Rep. Lynn Jenkins (KS-02) introduced H.Res. 835, a resolution to change House rules and require committees to post the actual text of adopted bills and amendments online within 24 hours.

· Rep. Virginia Foxx (NC-05) has introduced H.R. 3797, the Fairness in Representation Act, which would direct the Census Bureau ask census respondents about their citizenship or legal status and use that information to ensure illegal aliens are not counted for the purposes of Congressional apportionment.

Here is a preview of upcoming Democrat proposals to advance their big-government, anti-taxpayer agenda.

· House Democrat Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has indicated that the health care bill currently being crafted by Speaker Pelosi behind closed doors (supposedly based on the three committee versions of H.R. 3200) will not be considered on the House floor until next week at the very earliest.

House Floor Activity
The following key legislation came through the House of Representatives last week.

· The House agreed to the Conference Report (a set of recommendations for House conferees) to H.R. 2892, the Homeland Security Appropriations bill.

Budget and Spending
Each week, the RSC Budget and Spending Taskforce compiles a weekly report on the latest budget and spending news. Additionally, the RSC Money Monitor tracks how bills passed by the House affect authorizations, mandatory spending, and federal government revenue.
