GAY ACTIVIST RIPS POPE ON BEHAR SHOW

On the February 9 edition of CNNH’s “Joy Behar Show,” homosexual activist Michelangelo Signorile said the following: “You have this pope saying that homosexuality is the end of civilization. That we have to protect the culture from homosexuality the way we have to protect the rainforest from degradation. You know, we’ve got a bishop in Guam who just said that gays are worse than the Islamic fundamentalists.” To which Behar said, “Oh, my God.”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue calls them out on these lies:

None of what Signorile said is true. Not only has the pope never said that homosexuality is the “end of civilization,” a Lexis-Nexis search reveals that he has never even used that term.

Regarding the comment on homosexuality and the rainforest, here is exactly what the pope said in December 2008: “That which has come to be expressed and understood with the term ‘gender’ effectively results in man’s self-emancipation from Creation (nature) and from the Creator. Man wants to do everything by himself and to decide always and exclusively about anything that concerns him personally. But this is to live against truth, to live against the Spirit Creator. The tropical rainforests deserve our protection, yes, but man does not deserve it less as a Creature of the Spirit himself, in whom is inscribed a message that does not mean a contradiction of human freedom but its condition.” Nowhere is homosexuality mentioned, never mind the spin Signorile put on it.

Last October, Guam Archbishop Anthony Apuron said that “Islamic fundamentalists clearly understand the damage that homosexual behavior inflicts on a culture. That is why they repress such behavior by death.” But he did not sanction such measures. Indeed, he unequivocally condemned them. “Terrorism as a way to oppose the degeneration of the culture is to be rejected completely since such violence is itself another form of degeneracy.” So Signorile again twisted what was actually said.

Common decency suggests that a retraction be made.

Debra Medina Video: WE TEXANS - Beaumont

Beware Of Wolves In Republican Clothing

There are wolves among us; us meaning tea party supporters, Constitutionalists, Christians, Conservatives, and those who believe in the founding principals of this Republic. We have set our sights on the leadership who has betrayed us and have lost sight of those a little closer who are betraying our movement more and more as each day goes by.

They are becoming more and more disconnected from the base as they grow bigger and more popular. For popularity they become willing to sell out the very principles and people who put them there in the first place. The wolves I speak of are bloggers, talk show hosts, and media outlets who started as nothing and rose to higher ranks, apparently on the backs of those who have been supporting them over the years. Not everyone can handle power and popularity; it can destroy anyone who let it inflate their ego. Anyone who begins to think they have gotten where they are because they are better rather than by design will be the next to fall.

In particular I am referring to Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin, RedState, and Hot Air; they have all gleefully stepped out onto the slippery slope of betrayal and liberalism. They are becoming the very political enemies of Conservatism that they started out fighting for. I say it is high time that those who stray from and betray the real movement of the base be ostracized; shunned. They must not be allowed to misrepresent or contaminate our cause.

The movement of the Conservative base is to ensure that establishment candidates are utterly rejected and that the true Constitutionalists, limited government, states rights candidates are put in their place. This is a war to save our Republic and one is either on their side or ours; there is no fencing walking on this one and we are taking no prisoners.

We are not going to all agree on every issue, but if we can agree that RINO's must go and that we need to get back to a limited government restrained by the Constitution then it is obvious who we must support and it is not those like Gov. Rick Perry who is responsible for the government theft of private property for the pending transcorridor highway and who attempted to force potentially harmful or fatal vaccinations on women and young girls (who it was not even designed for), or Kay Bailey Hutchison whose support for abortion is partially responsible for the deaths of more people than Hitler himself, or bloggers, talk show hosts, and media outlets who twist and spread untruths such as saying that Debra Medina, who is running for Texas governor, is a truther.

In my opinion, those who betray the people's movement for the establishment should suffer the very public downfall they joyously encourage and actively seek for the true candidates of the people; such as Debra Medina and many others. My sincere hope is that Debra is thrust into the open arms of the base and voted in as governor of Texas despite the liberal wolves foaming at the mouths and waiting at the gates to destroy her. I pray that the people think for themselves, look into her stands, and make them all regret the day they the establishment over the people; the day they decided it was better to retain their popularity with liberals than to fight to keep the government limited by the Constitution.

Sound a little tough? Well, yes I am being tough because I know my children and grandchildren's freedom is at stake and NOTHING is more important that God, family, and our Republic as it was founded.

In closing, a word of advise to Glenn Beck and all the little minions jumping on the bandwagon; don't try to slap a dog into submission, he will eventually turn on you and give his loyalty to one who deserves it. Believing that your views are the only views and that anyone who believes differently is wrong or that you are somehow better than someone else will bring you nothing good in the end.

Priceless Moments

Re-posted at the request of a friend.

Charity And The Lost Authority Of The Church

A friend of ours wrote the below article. I think it is eloquent and badly needed. She touches on everything, but I wanted to add something from a Catholic perspective. One of the things that is really irritating me is many within our Church believe in social justice and think it is the government's role to provide Charity through out the world.

I believe it is an individual and church responsibility and by having the government move into this area the church has given up it's authority and allowed itself to be replaced by government. Instead of the Lord receiving the praise for the charity and work of his church and children the government has received that praise. This has resulted in the theft of our God given liberty and a never ending dependence on our government.

Charity Begins At Home

Part of our current problem in addressing the healthcare legislation is that Americans are a generous people. We like to help each other. We all recognize that sometimes unexpected circumstances can hit the best of us with a mountain of debt and no obvious way out. We want to live by the golden rule – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” – because, by and large, we believe that if we help someone else today, someone else will be better able to help us tomorrow. That is an admirable thing. Many times it is the truth as well.(That whole pay it forward deal plays very well into the American ethos.) The problem comes when we try to apply that ethos through the government rather than as individuals and private organizations. Individuals and some private organizations have a Christian mandate to help people and provide charity. Governments have a mandate to govern.

When the government gives charity, it creates no reciprocal obligation in the heart of those who receive that charity. It fosters an attitude that, not only is one a total failure at life who must be grudgingly rescued by his or her betters, but that one is entitled, by the inability to succeed at life, to that charity and need not pay it forward by word or deed. However, if your neighbor or church steps up and pays your mortgage for a hard month, or buys groceries or Christmas presents for a family that can’t afford them, that creates a thankful heart(usually) and a reciprocal obligation to give back to that neighbor or community group in some way.

Perhaps the fact that there is no way to give back to the government is the culprit. Instead of a feeling of thankfulness, the recipient is left with a sense of frustration and failure. With a neighbor or a neighborhood church, there are opportunities to help and return the favor. Taking on supervision of the Sunday school classes, shoveling the helpful neighbor’s walk in the winter or even sharing some fresh baking or inviting them to dinner. This creates a feeling of fulfillment and self sufficiency. It gives the recipient of that charity the opportunity to demonstrate to that church or neighbor that they are someone who was worthy of such charity. That they understand the obligations of a community to care for each other.

This is one of the reasons that government entitlements and charity are a failure and degrading to the overall character of the nation. How does government charity provide a picture of community support, self respect, cheerful giving and true charity when our children see their parents grumbling over the taxes that are taken from us to provide such charity? What message does it send when they see the recipients of government charity grumbling at how it should be better or how it didn’t really meet their needs? What message does it send to the children who are supported by such largesse? How does that encourage our children to continue our tradition of generosity? When our children see that those who are providing this charity (the taxpayers) are made the poorer by it and involuntarily at that.

Voluntary charity is a blessing for both the provider and the recipient. Involuntary charity is not charity, it is wealth redistribution. We the People need to recognize that, while government may be a fine vessel for the governing of a people, it is not a fit vessel for works of charity.

Glenn Beck - Unhinged And Out-Of-Control - UPDATED

Recently I wrote about why does both the Right and Left fear liberty. Well, today we had a prime example of that. Glenn Beck had Debra Medina on his show. Shortly after the interview started Glenn ask her about being a 9-11 truther because he said she was being accused of it through Emails from Texas. She said she had not heard that and implied that she was not. Glenn wanted to know if any of her acquaintances were truthers and she responded none that she knew of.

He then pressed her to commit to denounce and to fire anyone who was, if she found out about them. She replied that she would not because she was not the thought police. Glenn quickly let her go and trashed her and a subsequent caller who defended her. The caller said it was a little like someone not supporting a candidate because they did not agree on one issue. Glenn then went on a rant that Hitler was good except for one issue; killing all the Jews. That is my summary. After writing this Beck released the transcript of his conversation with Medina, but not the caller afterwards.

Here is Medina's response after the interview:

Medina Campaign Responds to Glenn Beck Interview
by Debra Medina on Feb 11,
2010

I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my
thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with
the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists
flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have
I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals
in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all
Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.

The question surprised me because it's not relevant to this race or the issues
facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and
state sovereignty. It is focused on the issues facing Texans. It is not a
vehicle for the 9-11 truth movement or any other group.

The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to
question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions
on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered
by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the
people, whether it's Rick Perry and his HPV mandate or Kay Hutchison and voting
for the bank bailout. It is absolutely the right and duty of a free people to
question their government. Texas does not need another politician who tells you
what you want to hear, then violates your liberties and steals your property
anyway. I fully expect to be questioned and to be held accountable as Governor,
and that's the underlying issue here: should people be questioning their
government. And the answer is yes, they should be.

That should lay to rest that she is not a 9-11 truther. I would not have even went into that, but no one would listen to what I have to say unless I pointed that out. I don't care if she was a 9-11 truther or not; most rational people know that Muslim extremists attacked us on 9-11 killing thousands of innocent Americans.

My problem is with Glenn and all these thought police on the Right and Left. Just because someone believes something you don't does not give you the right to attempt to destroy them or demand that they be disavowed or fired. It does not give you the right to compare them to Hitler as Glenn did; and for Glenn's information Hitler did not do just one thing wrong. Hitler experimented on the mentally challenged, invaded multiple countries, and slaughtered millions of innocent Jews and Germans, just to mention a couple of things. He was pure evil and you should not be comparing a candidate for governor to Hilter simply because they did not answer one question the way you wanted.

Glenn has been acting very odd lately; I have been a fan for years. I noticed when he moved over to Fox his antics were more bizarre, but it was working and his ratings were high, and still are. But, now he seems to be sabotaging politicians for no reason at all. After Brown's election he made bizarre comments regarding Brown having a dead intern in his future. Then at the start of the interview today really disturbing comments about Jim DeMint and a lover in Argentina (obviously referring to Sanford).

Add to that his constant comments that there is no difference between the Parties and I am left to wonder where is he coming from? Has he become so self absorbed that he has lost touch with reality? I know that his audio man, Pat Grey, used to co-host a radio show in Texas with Edd Hendee, which I regularly listened to. Edd is supporting Kay Bailey Hutchison. It makes me wonder if this interview was a set up from the beginning. Glenn attempts to destroy Medina and after the interview brags that she will be back to 4% in the polls. Her support was coming from Kay Bailey Hutchison supporters, so who stands to benefit?

Also, to Glenn's assertion of who could believe that the US government could kill it's own citizens; has Glenn forgotten about the war for Southern Independence (or as Glenn refers to it, the Civil War), where well over 600,000 citizens were slaughtered by their government when the South was refused their right to secede from the Union? A lot of Americans distrust the government on various things and the government has earned that mistrust by lying to and deceiving the people time and time again.

We are on dangerous territory if anyone who believes in something that we do not is instantly vilified and demeaned. If they are harming no one else why should we care what their beliefs are? That is why our founders fought so hard for each of us to be free to have our own beliefs and values separate from the government or the majority. With Glenn's off-the-wall attack today, he joined with the far Left in yet another attack on a liberty-loving American who doesn't even hold the beliefs that Glenn or those Emailers prescribed of her.

A grave injustice was done to her and Glenn owes Medina and the caller an apology. Until he is man enough to do that it is not worth my time to listen to him or purchase his books, of which I own two. If I want to hear hatred and vilification of liberty-loving Americans I would listen to MSNBC.

UPDATE:

NOTE FROM SR ON THIS SUBJECT:

I just wanted to add my thoughts on this subject to what my husband has already said. Our movement cannot afford to have anyone in an influential postion over our base who has lost their grip of reality. Glenn Beck has somewhere along the way snapped away from his senses. I used to enjoy listening to his programs, but I cannot give credence to someone I believe is doing more harm than good.

This is not the first incident where Beck has gone off the deep end. Beck has served his time, and his usefulness has past, I believe he needs to be left by the wayside to rant to himself where he can do no harm to our historical movement. We are fighting for the very existence of our Republic and should let no one, despite their popularity or position, threaten it.

Having a rogue talking head destroying the very candidates we desperately need to go to Washington and our state capitals to fight for us is unacceptable and I will never give him an ear or time of the day again. My Republic depends upon me and my stand against tyrannies, big and small.

Special Report With Bret Baier On Rand Paul And The Kentucky Senate Race

They did a good job on the report; fair and balanced as they like to say. I noticed that Trey Grayson likes to attack people. Every time I see a clip of him he is distorting Rand's record and views or attacking Gov. Palin and anyone else who dares support Rand. He should worry about making his case to the voters of why he should be elected. I have a slogan for him; if you want things to stay the same in DC, vote for me. However, if you want to reign in government and try and save this Republic from a financial disaster Rand Paul is the only one running willing to stand up to the establishment.

Why Do So Many Fear Liberty?

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attaining too much liberty than those attain too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson

One of my favorite Thomas Jefferson quotes. One thing that mystifies me to this day is why do so many on the Left and Right openly rebel against the idea of liberty? Candidates like Rand Paul are despised simply because they advocate for liberty.

Granted, many Libertarians want more relaxed drug laws and a less agressive foreign policy than I would prefer. I personally would like stricter drug laws, but I would rather us error on the side of too much freedom than live under the current big-government ball-and-chain we are all shackled with at birth. You can always change a law to make it stricter, but it is almost impossible to regain a liberty once it is lost.

Update from the House Republican Study Committee (RSC)

RSC Update: Tuesday, February 9, 2010

From the Chairman
It has been widely reported that President Obama has invited congressional Republicans to a health care summit to discuss the prospects of a bipartisan way forward on reform. While such a meeting makes for great PR, the fact that the President is only now extending this invitation – after his bill has been rejected by the American people – demonstrates just how shallow his dedication to bipartisanship really is.

President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Senator Reid attempted to use their large majorities to jam through a government takeover of health care. They were stopped by an even larger coalition of Republicans, a few Democrats, and most importantly the American people. After such a resounding rejection of the big-government approach, it’s clear that tinkering at the margins of the current plans is the wrong way to go.

The only constructive discussions will start with a blank sheet of paper. If the President and other Democrat leaders agree to start over and craft a plan that has widespread appeal to the American people, will not provide for a government-run program, will include no mandates, will not raise taxes, and will ensure that personal health care decisions are never made by bureaucrats, then Republicans will be there to assist. But if the President refuses to start from scratch, his health care summit will be little more than yet another unproductive photo op.

Sincerely,

Congressman Tom Price

NASA Invites Public To Tweet Their Way Into Space Next Week

HOUSTON -- The Twitterverse and universe will converge during space shuttle Endeavour's upcoming mission to the International Space Station. NASA is inviting the public to send questions for the astronauts via Twitter and have them answered live from space.

Astronaut Mike Massimino will be accepting questions for the crew from the public via his Twitter account until Thursday, Feb. 11. Massimino will be a shuttle Capcom, or spacecraft communicator, at NASA's Mission Control in Houston during Endeavour's flight, scheduled for launch Feb. 7.

At 2:24 a.m. CST on Feb. 11, Massimino will host an interactive event with the crew from his console in Mission Control. He will ask the astronauts as many submitted and live questions as practical during the 20-minute event. The shuttle will be docked to the station during the live question and answer session. The event with Endeavour's crew will be broadcast live on the Web and NASA Television.

The public is invited to start tweeting questions for Endeavour's crew today to Massimino's Twitter account, @astro_Mike, or add the hashtag #askastro to their tweets.

Endeavour's 13-day STS-130 mission will include three spacewalks and the delivery of the Tranquility node, the final module of the U.S. portion of the station. Tranquility will provide additional room for crew members and many of the space station's life support and environmental control systems.

Attached to Tranquility is a cupola, which houses a robotic control station and has seven windows. The windows will provide a panoramic view of Earth, celestial objects and visiting spacecraft. After the node and cupola are added, the orbiting laboratory will be approximately 90 percent complete.

The time and day of the Twitter session are subject to change due to mission priorities. Updates to the NASA TV event schedule are available online at:

Politics As Usual In Kentucky

The establishment's choice for senate in Kentucky is using the establishment's playbook and unlike previous candidates Rand Paul's campaign is not taking it sitting down. Here is the latest distortion of Rand Paul's beliefs.

Airport Violate Staff And Body Scanners Assurances Of Privacy

Last time I checked an unwelcomed sexual violation of one's body is called rape. The use and abuse of virtual strip body scanners in airports are just that. There are many who have naively accepted these scanners as necessary security measures, but their reality is far more insidious. Read this article if you want to know the full picture of what they can lead to. People should be outraged and demand their immediate removal.

I don't know about you, but the fact that a person is willing to make it their job to look at people naked causes me to question their integrity to begin with. Then there is always the fact that once someone becomes desensitized to such an occupation they are capable of justifying all sorts of actions. This incident was a given to anyone with any common sense at all.

If they are truly negatives, as I have heard, then the pictures produced by these scanners could be developed and even placed on the Internet. Do you want anyone looking at your spouse or your child's naked body with God knows what going through their mind and having the ability to print those images out? I don't know about you, but as an American I find this repulsive and unacceptable as a free person with rights.

Debra Medina Surges In Latest Poll

Medina is within the margin of error with Kay Bailey Hutchison. Perry is still in the lead, however. All the momentum is on Medina's side and Conservatives and Libertarians across the country should be supporting and helping Medina. If she were to win, or even come close, the shock waves would ripple through out the entire Republic. All politicians would have to start taking a limited federal and state government position seriously or risk facing angry voters willing to support non establishment candidates.

This is another sign that there is hope for the Republic. People are waking up every where and saying no more to out-of-control government; whether it be federal or state. One of the key issued that Medina has championed is true property rights. Could you imagine if you actually owned your property instead of just leasing it from the government through property taxes?

Catholic League News Release

PLANNED PARENTHOOD RIPS CATHOLICISM

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on a new report by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) on sex education:

The goal of IPPF is to sexually engineer society, and one way to accomplish this feat is to smear religious conservatives, especially Catholics. This new report not only substantiates this charge, it makes it clear that Planned Parenthood wants to bring its irresponsible ideas to bear on kids.

“IPPF uses the terms young people, youth and adolescents interchangeably to refer to people who are between 10 and 24.” In other words, 5th graders should be treated the same way graduate students are when it comes to their “sexual and reproductive health and rights.”

The entire program is based on a faulty assumption. IPPF says that “The taboo on youth sexuality is one of the key forces driving the AIDS epidemic and high rates of teenage pregnancy and maternal mortality.” Nonsense. In the 1950s, there was no sex education in the schools, the pill was not commercially available and AIDS didn’t exist. Yet the out-of-wedlock birth rate was comparatively miniscule and sexually transmitted diseases were relatively rare. All because of taboos.

According to IPPF, it’s those Catholics—who are indistinguishable from radical Islamists—who are the problem. “Fundamentalist and other religious groups—the Catholic Church and madrasas (Islamic schools) for example—have imposed tremendous barriers that prevent young people, particularly, from obtaining information and services related to sex and reproduction.”

So the kids in Sister Mary’s class who learn about responsible sex are analogous to Imam Mohammad’s kids who are either denied sex education or are told that homosexuality is punishable by death. Finally, why is it that public school students, who know so much more about sex than those dunces in the parochial schools, are precisely the ones walking around with the highest rates of illegitimacy, abortion and herpes?

Well, the talking heads went after Sarah Palin for endorsing Rand Paul. No surprise there, they can't stand anyone who believes in states rights and limited government. Palin masterfully responded. You can read her and Rand Paul's campaign response here.

It is funny, we have maybe 3 out of 100 senators who actually believe in states rights and the thought of a fourth drives the establishment crazy. Thanks to Sarah for standing behind her convictions. Endorsement: Debra Medina For Texas Governor

Debra Medina For Texas Governor

I have been actually been supporting Debra Medina for Texas governor for a while now and have donated to her campaign, however I recently realized I had not posted her link or endorsed her on this site. Debra will be the limited government, states rights governor that Texas deserves.

If you are tired of losing your freedoms and hard earned livelihood to government thievery then Debra is your governor. Her stands on property rights, gun ownership, securing the border, and restoring state sovereignty align with the Constitution and recent tea party protests. Please take the time to get to know Debra and her stands and consider supporting her.

Imagine the message it will send if we put Constitutionalist, conservatives like her into office all over this Republic. Imagine how much we will benefit, how fast the economy will rebound, and what a limited government will look like. It can happen if you make it happen.

Time is running out; early elections begin soon so make sure you act quickly.

Exciting News

I am happy announce that we have our sixth child on the way and he or she will be here sometime in August. I am really hoping for a boy, but will be extremely excited and happy either way. I have discovered through my three daughters and two sons that girls are indeed more difficult. After all, you have to immediately start worrying that some day they will start to date;-)

What I have not been able to figure out is how my wife keeps getting pregnant. It has got to be something in the water;-) Of course, I probably should not have said that; some of the hateful liberals whose comments I am always having to delete will think I mean it. I have just taken it on to replenish the Catholic faithfuls' ranks;-) On a serious note, I want to thank God for this blessing and ask for a healthy pregnancy for my wife and a healthy baby. God is great.

Psalm 128

1 Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! 2 You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. 4 Lo, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD. 5 The LORD bless you from Zion! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life! 6 May you see your children's children! Peace be upon Israel!

The Census - When Is Enough, Enough

Gary D. Barnett has another good piece out on the census. I hope y'all take the time to read it.

The Census Gestapo!

by Gary D. Barnett

Recently by Gary D. Barnett: Privacy in America Is Dead

Just when I thought the census invasions were over, at least until the actual count next spring, the census Gestapo, or "Complete Count Committees" (CCC) are forming all around this nation-state. Once again, the long arm of government is using state and local political types to form neighbor watching and neighbor invading "community" committees. One should not take this lightly, as this is a massive government-organized army out to invade the privacy of virtually everyone. The normal culprits will be involved in this idiocy, including government agencies, education, business, faith-based organizations, nosy community "leaders," local do-gooders, and of course the government-controlled media.

As I said in the past in my article, "In Preparation for the 2010 Census," the 2010 census count in my opinion will be the most aggressive ever. Not only has government become much more tyrannical in the past ten years, but towns, cities, counties and states are starving for more tax revenue due to this government-caused economic debacle. Although this census is being touted by the U.S. Census Bureau as a short-form only census, only 10 questions, don’t be fooled by this deceitful ruse. In the past, one out of every six households received the long form or "The American Community Survey" which is 52 pages long and very intrusive. It is simply used as a personal information gathering and monitoring tool for government. This practice has been scrapped in its present form, but now instead of being sent every ten years, will be mailed out to many every single year. What this means is that those sent the long form each year will now be under more pressure than ever to complete and send it in. Instead of the possibility of receiving one of these long forms every ten years, you could receive one in any given year. Since the state aggression is ratcheting up for these more intrusive invasions, some of us will have to defend ourselves from the Department of Commerce on a regular basis. This is absurd!

According to the CCC guide, [see here] "Determining congressional seats and federal funding is just a hint of the many important uses of census data." This must be news to those of us who can actually read and understand the constitution. The census was to be taken (an enumeration or simple head count) to establish the apportionment of representatives and direct taxes among the several states; nothing more. As I’ve mentioned in the past, no change in national representation has occurred in almost 100 years, and the apportionment of tax dollars has become nothing more than a tax redistribution scheme to enrich the elite few and to expand the socialist welfare state. In other words, a complete bastardization of the census process has taken place, and now it is nothing more than a scam!

But now, with Complete Count Committees in place, things have not only gotten worse, but much worse. First let’s look at some of the examples given for the many uses of the census. This comes under the very dubious heading: "Census data are widely and wisely used." Nothing could be further from the truth. Here are some of the uses:

Title 1 grants to educational agencies
Head Start programs
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) (food grants)
Public transportation
Road rehabilitation and construction
Programs for the elderly
Emergency food and shelter
Empowerment zones (What in the world is this?)
The data help the private sector as well as state and federal governments determine where jobs and job programs are needed
Census data help potential homeowners research property values, median income, and other demographic information about a particular community.
Corporations use population data for market research to determine locations for commercial enterprises, such as food stores, pharmacies, and other essential services.

This of course is a short list. At the end of the guide, another 50 reasons are listed. And you thought the census was used to determine representative and direct tax apportionment only. No, quite the opposite is the case.

As should be obvious, local and state governments have been co-opted to help advance the Census Bureau’s reach and scope. Since the states and local communities depend so heavily on federal largess, this by design, and the census is the mechanism used to decide who gets what, they have become willing accomplices. In a local newspaper article recently, the statement was made that "$1,000.00 a year per person comes to communities based on census figures. Missing 10 people in a census can cost a community $100,000.00 over 10 years." Scare tactic? I would say so. No wonder the state and local governments are so heavily involved.

The Complete Count Committee is something I haven’t talked about in the past, but it is a very important aspect of the census count, and is based upon a co-opting or conscription of sorts of many state and local governments and communities. The CAC guide claims that the Census Bureau can’t do the census alone, and requires the assistance of individuals, groups and organizations across the nation. The CCC "is a voluntary committee established by tribal, state and local governments, and/or community leaders, to increase awareness about the census and motivate residents in the community to respond." While this language may seem benign to some, it is in fact descriptive of even a more intrusive venture.

These committees are run in a top down manner not that much unlike a military structure. I would call it the "chain-of-command" for census counts. The U.S. government via the Department of Commerce is the head, and then the governor of each state takes charge of his domain. He then is to appoint individuals as members to serve on the committee, creating in essence, a state Complete Count Committee. This committee will normally be chaired by an individual selected by the governor. "The operation of the Complete Count Committee flows from the highest elected official or community leader to the chairperson, the committee members, and/or to the community at large." This is based on a sub-committee structure, from highest to lowest, and sub-committees should include government, education, faith-based, media, community-based organizations, business, and recruiting. This is no innocent community project, but a planned government/private (fascist) partnership ready to assault the rest of us.

These committees are to use every possible method at their disposal to force compliance. They are to identify targets for aggressive outreach and set up strategic partnerships with counties, schools, state agencies, and community organizations. They will also set up non-response follow-up. They are to exhaust every avenue possible to promote the census count, including but not limited to stuffing all public utility and property tax bills with census propaganda. Banners, brochures, posters, parades, and newsletters are just a few other things mentioned to advance the count in the CCC guide; all paid for by tax dollars, of course.

In addition to the use of all public and community-based organizations, and municipalities, the census Nazis also are using the public (government) school system to help in this coercive effort. In the process, the state is indoctrinating kids attending these rotten institutions from "prekindergarten through twelfth grade, as well as postsecondary education institutions. (Ages 3 and up in other words) "Census in Schools" is also taking place in 2010, with an emphasis on kindergarten through eighth grade. The importance of this in-school census is to "educate all of the K-12 students about the importance of the 2010 census." No one should be surprised by this, but what an obvious totalitarian approach. Just how long will it be until the "Census in Schools" program is teaching kids to turn in parents who don’t cooperate with census takers? The "Hitler Youth" of socialist Germany comes immediately to mind! What an outrage!

The bottom line is this: The 2010 Census will be the most aggressive and the most intrusive we have seen. Threats of fines for non-compliance will be more evident this time around. Neighbors and friends will be encouraged by government to put pressure on any who refuse to go along with this invasion of privacy and destruction of rights. Neighbors will also become informants. There will be a "Nonresponse Follow-up" team, as I mentioned earlier, set up for those unwilling to give up their private information to these goons. "A field operation designed to obtain a completed interview from households where a questionnaire was not returned" will send "enumerators" to these households to obtain completed interviews. If attempts to contact the residents of a household are unsuccessful, an "enumerator" will obtain as much information as is possible from a neighbor, a building manager, or another reliable source. In other words, the government will use whatever method possible to get private information about you, your family, your personal finance, your cultural or ethnic background and any other information it wants.

What will it take before most get fed up with this oppressive and heavy-handed government? When will more stand against this despotic beast? I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have had enough!

Gov. Palin Came Out With Both Barrels Blazing

Gov. Palin's speech last night was awe inspiring and full of red meat for Conservatives. Listening to the callers who called into CSPAN afterwards it was well accepted and she helped herself. Though, for some of the naive callers it appears that she will have to explain in detail that developing our own energy resources does create jobs and I would like to hear a little more about shrinking the government and returning power back to the states. But, given the limited time she could only give so much detail and I give her a solid ten.

Sarah Palin Keynote Speech at National Tea Party Convention

Founding Fathers Quote

If it be asked what is to restrain the House of Representatives from making legal discriminations in favor of themselves and a particular class of the society? I answer, the genius of the whole system, the nature of just and constitutional laws, and above all the vigilant and manly spirit which actuates the people of America, a spirit which nourishes freedom, and in return is nourished by it.

James Madison

Pet Peeves

So, the other day I took my wife out to lunch and went clothes shopping for the kids; now I love having lunch with my wife, but hate shopping. I knew it would be a long day when we drove down to Sheboygan and Plymouth and was immediately confronted with a series of round-abouts. They have to be one of the most irritating inventions in society. Half the people don't know how to use them and the other half are mad they have to use them.

Then once we arrived at the store I immediately thought something was wrong; instead of girls clothing we apparently had accidentally stepped into the call-girl section. Once the shock wore off my wife informed me it was the young girls section. Apparently, it is now appropriate to dress your young daughter in shorts that do not cover anything and shirts that leave nothing to the imagination. The only reason the store would be full of items like this is that people must be buying them; and judging from what I saw last summer, quite a few people.

Needless to say, my daughter ended up with a couple of tasteful shirts and jeans and I will look elsewhere for summer attire. I hope our society quickly re-evaluates the message it is sending to the young girls and women of our society.

The Founding Fathers - Extremists, Terrorists

Their signature on the Declaration of Independence made the Founding Fathers, and their families, extremists and terrorists. The British government had to squash the rebellion or risk losing the colonies and all the wealth they gained from them. Because they were willing to fight for their freedom rather than live in subjugation they, and their families, suffered dearly. Most of us today don't have the stomach to even hear what they endured; those who were unlucky enough to have lived.

Today we have our own neopresident and congress making allegations of extremism and terrorism against conservatives who believe in gun rights, freedom of religion, the sanctity of life, secure borders, capitalism, and God given freedom. So I ask this; who are the Founders of our day going to be? I mean those who are willing to stand up against this tyrannical rule. It is going to be all the conservative, Constitutional, tea party candidates who are out there running right now. They are ready to sign their John Hancock against this out-of-control government and strike the blow that will strip it of it's ill-sought and unrestrained powers.

Not only is it your duty to seek them out and get them in office, but it is your duty to begin raising the next generation of Founders. Your children will rule someday; give them the tools and the knowledge and foundation they need to honor the Constitution and those who sacrificed to preserve it. Educate your children at home about true American history. The information is out there. The time and investment you put into it will pay off as your children are exposed to a liberal, progressive agenda in their schools . When the day comes they too will take their stand against those who would threaten their freedom; as is their heritage as an American.

Brain Surgery And Politics

Those who don't know anything about brain surgery should stay out of the operating room and those who don't know anything about the Constitution should never be elected to political office. Unlike brain surgery, however, the Constitution is pretty much common sense; which is why liberals and progressives have so much trouble with it.

Whether due to defect or lacking in their upbringing the concept of common sense has escaped them. This is why government has no business meddling in the lives of the American people. This is why the government was restrained by our Constitution and that restraint is why liberals and progressives are out the destroy it. It is the only thing standing between us and the tyranny from which our Founding Fathers went to war to escape.

Stand firm against such unrestrained power; after all, they only have what powers you allow them to have. Your vote is one of the most precious and powerful tools you have. Don't throw it away. Make it count and give it to someone who knows the government's place; under the Constitution and in service to the people.

Family, Football, And Food

For the first time in four years I am not scheduled to work during the Super Bowl. I am so ready for a day with my family, watching some great football, and pigging out on all the snacks. Life is great (once in a while;-) Seriously, though, Go Saints!

Endorsement: Karen Diebel For Congress

I am proud to announce our endorsement for Karen Diebel for Congress. She is running for the 24th Congressional District seat in Florida and she is truly a people's politician. I made a donation to her campaign this morning as I was on my way out the door to take the kids to Lambeau Field in Green Bay and before I barely moved on to the next site her campaign called me to thank me for my donation; that was amazingly only a few minutes later. I was deeply impressed and felt bad I had not gotten a chance to get up my endorsement for her sooner.

Then as I was finishing up with my political donations I received another phone call; this time from Karen herself. Now, this is a week end and I don't even live in Florida. I am way up here in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin and here is Karen Diebel on my phone, thanking me for my donation. I truly wish I had had more time to speak with her; she was warm, friendly, and from the short conversation I had with her I could see that she really cares about Florida and the citizens of Florida. I let her know how important her stand for space exploration was to us since we have a son who has the aptitude and the dream of becoming an astronaut someday.

Our children's future is so very important to us. That is what it is really about, our children, and Karen get's that. Please consider supporting her, even if you are not from Florida. We need to support all true conservative, Constitutionalist candidates across our entire Republic so we can bring it back to the glory it once was.

Sundance and the Dance of Death

Honestly, the last place I ever imagined seeing my face was on the big screen at the Sundance Film Festival. I actually appeared in a documentary film last week called "12th and Delaware" which attempted to show the struggle between life and death in the real-life scenarios of abortion-minded women. The name of the film derives from the street names on an ordinary corner in Ft. Pierce, FL where extraordinary things happen every day. On one side of the street is a death camp (i.e., an abortion mill) and on the other side is a center of life, the Pregnancy Care Center (PCC), which I helped found in 1999. I still serve on the Board of the PCC, and my greatest privilege is listening to the first-hand accounts of the miracles that happen there everyday. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of babies have been spared from a violent death at that abortion mill - and their mothers spared the agony of suffering from an abortion because of the work of Pregnancy Care Center.

The film did not win any Sundance honors or Academy nominations, but then again, the greenie avatars that frequent these rarified environments were not likely to be thrilled with a subject that most of them just want to go away. After all, abortion is an ugly business and even the most avid abortionists and left-wing radicals don't want to draw too much attention to it.

We agreed to do the documentary for the purposes of telling the story of the heroic work of crisis pregnancy centers all over the world. As in all dealings with those who favor abortion, however, a cloud of deceit blanketed the film project right from the very beginning even though the directors came dressed as "objective" reporters. They promised us that the film was to center solely on the ministry and good work of the Pregnancy Care Center, but they began secretly filming at the abortuary across the street in order to get a "balanced" perspective, and of course they did not tell us of it until the movie actually premiered. Since the abortion center and its workers knew from the beginning that the PCC was being filmed, their responses, attitudes and actions were of course well-constructed to present a Hollywood-type view of abortionists as compassionate helpers of women. In one scene, for example, the abortion clinic owner, whose name is - appropriately - Candace Dye, hastily decides on camera to give one of her clients a $50.00 discount on her abortion. Can you imagine an abortionist giving away her profits? Now that is genuine acting.

Despite the mendacity of the pro-abortion media, the story of the heroism of the women who work in pregnancy care centers needed to be told. The extraordinary commitment of the women in the crisis pregnancy ministry undoubtedly makes them the unsung heroes of the pro-life movement. Best of all, the film highlights the uniquely creative and positive response of the movement that loves both the woman and the baby but does not make a single cent helping them. No one in the abortion business can say that - something else curiously left out of the film!

Anne Lotierzo, the director of the Pregnancy Care Center was the protagonist of the story and could not have given a better example of the profound zeal for the welfare of the abortion-minded women and their babies that is typical of pregnancy center directors. She told me once about a young woman who came into the PCC in error, thinking it was the abortion clinic where she had an appointment to abort that very morning. When Anne told her it was not, she began to sob. Through her tears she looked up and cried, "I was up all night talking to God. I haven't lived a good life, I have ignored Him but I knew He would listen. I said, 'God, give me a sign, just give me just one sign that you want this baby!' This is it, this is the sign." The young woman went on to make a complete change of life, returned home to another state into the loving embrace of her parents who were thrilled with their new grandson.

Anne and her team are there on the front lines of the battle between life and death, and they meet women in the last desperate moments before an abortion to let them know that it's not too late to choose life. That's reality, not a reality show. The pregnancy care ministry is a real-life drama, not a documentary, and I know that God rewards them for all their heroism.

By the way, I forgot to tell you about my scenes in the film. The filmmakers came to a pro-life Mass and talk I did in IL last year and filmed me giving my main stump speech about the role of the devil in the grisly abortion business. I can only imagine the faces of the movie industry big-wigs when they were forced to listen to one of my homilies at Sundance! Come to think of it, maybe that's why the documentary didn't win any awards: the people in the rabidly pro-abortion movie industry don't like anyone saying bad things about their boss.

Sincerely,

Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer,
