Founding Fathers Quote

If, from the more wretched parts of the old world, we look at those which are in an advanced stage of improvement, we still find the greedy hand of government thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry, and grasping the spoil of the multitude. Invention is continually exercised, to furnish new pretenses for revenues and taxation. It watches prosperity as its prey and permits none to escape without tribute.

US Forces In Afghanistan About To Come Under Political Correctness Attack

Reports are out that new video of civilian deaths in Afghanistan will be released soon. This will be free propaganda for the enemy who savagely butchered their own civilians long before any American boots were on the ground in Afghanistan. It is also made possible by our own government's ridiculous politically correct view of war fighting.

Despite our politicians, and unfortunately some officers, la la dreams that you can fight a war with no civilian casualties the actual truth is that you will not win until you have broken the will of the people to resist. During our bombing raids in WWII tens of thousands of civilians would be killed and while extremely tragic it led to total victory and saved the lives of countless allied service members.

We have lost service members in both Iraq and Afghanistan because of our over caution and ridiculous rules of engagement meant more to placate our media than to actually win any hearts and minds. I hope we all will come to the defense of our service members as they come under yet another attack from the media.

Any politician who jumps on the band wagon must be held accountable at the polls as soon as they are up for re-election. We must send the signal to Washington that the lives of our military means more to us than their hearts and minds campaign.

While we are talking about PR, stupid stunts like this by the Pentagon in their never ending search to find ways to waste money on non lethal weapons systems leads to just about as much bad PR for the military as actually fighting the war to win. This is what happens when the political class has no one involved in the real fighting. Most of the country isn't directly affected by the fighting so they don't care. Obama is a prime example, he has no military expertise and he has surrounded himself with far Left wing nuts whose only combat involves vicious protests against our own military.

Another story we should all be keeping a close eye on is that up to $3 trillion in mineral wealth believed to exist in Afghanistan. This will give Russia, and especially China, 3 trillion reasons to meddle in Afghanistan in an attempt to gain access to both the money and the minerals.

Founding Fathers Quote

A feeble executive implies a feeble execution of the government. A feeble execution is but another phrase for a bad execution; and a government ill executed, whatever may be its theory, must, in practice, be a bad government.

Obama Violates His Constitutional Duties And Fights For Illegal Immigrants

In a stunning move of arrogance Obama's administration is going to sue Arizona over its Constitutional Illegal Immigration law. This administration has proven, without a doubt, that it cares nothing for the thousands of innocent Americans who are killed, raped, injured, or put out of work due to the invasion of millions of illegal aliens into this Republic.

One of the FEW Constitutional authorities the federal government does have is to protect our borders. Every administration in recent history has failed in this obligation and Obama is setting the bar even lower. He would rather declare legal war on a state on behalf of those who are invading us than protect the citizens he is obligated to defend. We finally found a power that the federal government doesn't want.

They have no problem telling us not to eat salt, but they find it too intrusive to verify your legal status if you have become involved with law enforcement. People, we need to support Arizona. Here is where you can donate to their legal defense fund. Please help spread the word through whatever media you use. Also, make the Democrat Party pay this November and vote them out of office at all levels.

We should also remember that Gov. Jan Brewer is up for re-election this November. I am sure she could use our support as the federal beast descends against her.

So, While Obama Guts Our Military What Do You Think Russia Has Been Up To?

Obama notoriously canceled our F-22 program, our largest advantage in the air, basically crippled our manned space program, and refuses to increase the size of our Army and Marine Corps to relieve the pressure of multiple deployments. While, he is playing golf and pretending to be competent Russia is rearming.

Putin was on hand to personally review the T-50 advanced fighter, reported to be as capable as our F-22 and perhaps have the edge in a few areas. Our Republic rarely takes other countries seriously. We do that at our detriment. Our weak leadership invites challenge and considering how divided we have become I am not sure any war would reunite us.

Putin is often attacked as a dictator, he certainly seems to be in the mold of a Tsar, but one thing he is that Obama will never be is a staunch defender of his country and his people.

What Do You Get A Man Who Has Everything?

I am not a rich man, by any means, materially, but I am a very rich and blessed man thanks to my faith and family. Even a blessed man like me desparately needs one of these.

The Federal Government Is Still Deliberately Standing In The Way And Leaving Louisiana Vulnerable

This story is absolutely infuriating, the feds will just not get out of the way. The president is a complete failure. The Corps of Engineers is incompetent and the Coast Guard apparently has a stick up their, well you know. How much longer until a majority of Americans realize federal involvement just means delay and burdensome regulation. You have to keep thing local.

LOUIS C.K.:
POPE RAPES BOYS

On last night's Comedy Central program, "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," comedian Louis C.K. concluded his interview by noting there were certain words that he could not utter on his new show on FX. After offering a few examples, he bleated out the following: "I was going to say that the pope f**** boys…." [The obscenity was bleeped.]

Here is the response by Catholic League president Bill Donohue:

It is a sign of cultural atrophy that so many of today's comedians cannot exhibit humor save by insulting someone or using vulgarities. Louis C.K. is a case in point. Absent real talent, he does what comes natural to him—he descends to the gutter for laughter. Now he has decided to accuse Pope Benedict XVI of child rape.

I appreciate debate with adults, but have no interest in debating adolescents. Which is why debating this guy would be a waste of time.

Not surprisingly, this gross offense was carried on a network known for two things: (a) trashing Christians and (b) censoring offenses against Muslims.

Founding Fathers Quote

To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.

Gov. Jindal Fights For Louisiana While The Obama Aministration Stands In The Way

Gov. Jindal has finally gotten permission to protect thousands of miles of Louisiana's gorgeous coast line, but the Obama administration is continuing to deny him the authority to build 18 more barrier sites.

First of all, I would love to know when the federal government got the authority to tell a state governor when he can protect his state and when he cannot. If it is simply about reimbursement the state should just go ahead and do the work and bill the feds. If the feds don't pay just start confiscating their property within your state. I would start with ATF offices and valuable military equipment.

We need to return our Republic back to our Founding Father's vision and we are currently nowhere close to that. Until the feds are restrained back to their limited role Louisiana is blessed to have a governor like Jindal who if fighting unceasingly for them. I was stationed in Louisiana and it is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful states, yet under the failed policies of big government she is being slowly sabotaged.

Let's hold the Democrat majority accountable this November.

Rep. Mike Coffman Q & A with General Petraeus

The Desparate Need For A Return To States' Rights

Nothing shows how weak our states have gotten and how powerful the inept federal government has become like the oil spill in the Gulf. Governors sitting around waiting for permission from the feds to protect their own states.

This doesn't even come close to our Founding Father's vision for the Republic. Here is an informative article that looks at the solutions needed to restore state sovereignty and this release from the Republican Party provides a timeline of the oil spill and Q & A.

Chris Christie Is A Real Statesman

Like a lot of Conservatives, I visit Chris Christie's YouTube site regularly. However, due to a busy schedule I missed the best video yet. We have seen nothing but incompetence from government for years. Now we have a governor that is showing all the other governor's out there how it is done.

Using the Gulf Oil Spill to Push Cap-and-Trade

U.S. in the World Cup

Pence: "The American People Don't Want This Administration to Exploit the Crisis in the Gulf to Advance Their Disastrous Energy Policies"

“We won’t cap that well with cap and trade.”

Washington, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, and the American Energy Solutions Group, made the following remarks today during a House Republican Leadership press conference:

"I was home in Indiana yesterday and people are concerned about jobs, they
are concerned about spending and they are deeply concerned about the crisis in
the Gulf. The widening environmental crisis in the Gulf is a tragedy. British
Petroleum must be held accountable for every dime of impact on our environment,
on the families, and on the communities of the region. This administration must
also be held accountable.

"What is clear across the political spectrum
is that this administration was slow to respond to this widening environmental
disaster and must be held to account. The American people expect the president
to work the problem, not work the media. They expect the president to provide
the kind of direct and energetic leadership that the laws adopted after the
Exxon-Valdez tragedy contemplate.

"That is BP's well and it is BP's responsibility to cap it. It is BP's financial responsibility for the cleanup and the consequences. But that is our coastline and the American people expect the President of the United States and this administration to energetically lead the effort and marshal all resources across the country and across the world to mitigate the impact on our environment and on the families and the communities in the region.

"Also, the American people expect that this administration will not use this opportunity to advance their liberal agenda. Our nation wants this president to work the problem not work his liberal agenda on energy. Rahm Emanuel said famously about a year ago that you ‘never want a serious crisis to go to waste.'

"And now we hear word that the president is preparing this evening, in the midst of this widening crisis, to use his address to the American people to advance his disastrous national energy tax known as the cap and trade. The American people don't want this administration to exploit the crisis in the Gulf to advance their disastrous energy policies. We won't cap that well with cap and trade. We won't help the families in the region or across this country by raising the cost of energy on every American in the worst economy in 25 years.

"We need a new energy policy. House Republicans have offered the American Energy Act. It's an all of the above approach that says yes to environmentally responsible domestic exploration for oil and natural gas. It says yes to alternative energy sources like wind and solar and nuclear. And says yes to conservation.

"But right now, the American people want this administration to focus on putting first things first. To make a priority of capping the well and restraining the flow of that oil to the coastline and leave debates over their liberal policy to the future."

Democrats Reject Attempt to Repeal Obamacare's Health Insurance Mandate

Pence: House Republicans “know that taxpayers want Washington to repeal the government takeover of health care.”

Washington, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, released the following statement today after House Democrats voted down a Republican motion that would have repealed ObamaCare’s individual mandate:

"The American people have rejected the president's government takeover of health
care but Washington Democrats are not listening. This afternoon Democrats
rejected a motion by House Republicans to repeal one of the most onerous
elements of ObamaCare: the individual mandate that will tax and penalize
Americans who do not buy government-approved health insurance.

"House
Republicans have been listening to the American people. Through
AmericaSpeakingOut.com, town halls, emails and phone calls, we know that
taxpayers want Washington to repeal the government takeover of health care.
House Republicans are ready to start over on a measure which actually lowers
costs without imposing burdensome job-killing mandates that put the government
between patients and their doctors."

EMPIRE STATE BLDG. AMENDS APPLICATION

Catholic League president Bill Donohue addresses the changes made by the Empire State Building in its application for lighting the towers:

The current online application for lighting the towers of the Empire State Building says it has "a specific policy against lighting for religious figures, religious organizations, and additional religious holidays."

This is another sleight of hand being played by Anthony Malkin, the building's owner. The reader never learns the truth: this policy was recently made up to justify stiffing Mother Teresa.

To see the front page of the current policy, as well as the front page of the application I filled out in February, click here.

Moreover, as recently as last January, the Empire State Building paid tribute to Rev. Martin Luther King. It would be great to learn from Malkin how he explains such duplicity, but since neither he nor his PR people are speaking to the press, we will never know how he would torture the truth, one more time.

End Of American Dominance In Space?

How wonderful it will be the day the world looks back from its dominance in space upon the kooky, backward, technologically challenged country who let Obama stunt its power with his liberal, regressive policies by ending its manned space exploration program. I hope that will be a proud moment for Americans who once enjoyed the place of dominance in space.

Space is the future and anyone who cannot develop the technology for manned space exploration will be doomed to whatever pecking order they can manage to scrap for back on Earth. Obama's disgrace does not have to be America's disgrace; although the liberals in charge of NASA seem to think so.

Judge Napolitano, Gov. Sarah Palin, Rep. Ron Paul, and Senate Candidate Rand Paul

Judge Napolitano's show "Freedom Watch" debuted on Fox Business Channel this past weekend 10:00am and 8:00pm EST on Saturdays, and 8:00pm and 11:00pm on Sundays. It was one of the best hours of television I have watched in a long time. I hope that the Judge will receive strong ratings so that the show will be a success. Here is the segment of the show where the Judge discusses the differences between Libertarians and Conservatives with Palin,Rand and Ron Paul.

Part II

Part III

How Out-Of-Control is Congress?

Apparently, enough that Congressman Bob Etheridge feels comfortable assaulting citizens on the street who just ask him a question. American Elephant has got this covered so I will just send you to them. Here is the post on the initial incident and then their post on the Congressman's pathetic apology. It seems the Congressman's supports excuse for his violent behavior is that the kid did not answer who he was.

First of all, on a public street anyone can ask any question without saying their name. Of course, it is also hard to answer what your name is when you are assaulted almost from the second you speak. This Congressman should be reprimanded by his colleagues, charged for assault by the police, and voted out of office by the voters this November.

By the way, he does not only love Obama's socialist policies, apparently he is a huge backer of illegal aliens. Maybe by now you feel like supporting his opponent? You can find her here.

I think we have seen more than enough from the Democratic Party. We need to remove anyone with a D at the end of their name this November. This Party has violated the Constitution, ignored the will of the people, and spread racial strife so that they can benefit from the chaos.

Update from the House Republican Study Committee (RSC)

RSC Update: Monday, June 14, 2010

From the Chairman
Despite President Obama’s rhetoric about fiscal responsibility, he has shown zero interest in taking the immediate steps necessary to halt Washington’s unbridled accumulation of debt. On the contrary, every day seems to bring more calls to spend money we do not have. His latest requests ring very familiar: $50 billion to extend stimulus bailouts for state and local governments and $32 billion to create a new TARP for small businesses. While the President says his latest stimulus request will save jobs for teachers and other public employees, these are the exact same jobs he claimed to have already saved almost a year ago. These jobs can only be saved with a vibrant economy, not more government spending.

The massive deficit spending in the Democrats’ original stimulus package was not what the economy needed. In fact, it was just the opposite. By 2015, the Treasury Department expects the national debt to exceed 100% of GDP – a level of debt which many economists say will severely slow economic growth. Over just the first 8 months of the 2010 fiscal year, Washington has already racked up a $935.6 billion deficit. It is this type of reckless spending on failed economic policies that have kept American job creators on the sidelines.

We need solutions that will rid our economy of government-manufactured uncertainty and restore fiscal sanity to Washington.

Sincerely,

Congressman Tom Price

Outlook – Here is a preview of upcoming Democrat proposals to advance their big-government, anti-taxpayer agenda.
· The House is currently scheduled to consider H.R. 5297, the Small Business Lending Fund Act. Modeled after TARP, it would create another bailout fund allowing the Obama administration to pump money into financial institutions. Far from helping small businesses, this legislation is just another bailout.

· House Democrats will also likely attempt to pass H.R. 5175, the DISCLOSE Act, this week. This legislation would obstruct the freedom of political speech for businesses while largely exempting labor unions from its requirements.

RSC Reports
· Each week, the RSC Budget and Spending Taskforce compiles a weekly report on the latest budget and spending news. Additionally, the RSC Money Monitor tracks how bills passed by the House affect authorizations, mandatory spending, and federal government revenue.

Battle Continues Against Allowing Abortions at Tax-Funded Military Base Hospitals

by Steven Ertelt

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The battle is continuing over whether Congress should support an amendment that would open up taxpayer-funded U.S. military base hospitals to doing abortions. A ban has been in place for years that prevents such abortions and the last time it was lifted, military doctors refused to do abortions. [
