49,609 Reasons Wisconsin Voters Should Reject Tammy Baldwin

Baldwin's Appetite for Pork Helped Increase the National Debt By $10 Trillion Since She Took Office

Madison, WI - During her 14-year career in Washington, D.C., Madison liberal Tammy Baldwin has given Wisconsin families 49,609 reasons why they shouldn't support her this November. Her appetite for pork barrel projects, coupled with her tax-and-spend agenda, has buried hard-working families under a mountain of debt.

Baldwin's pork barrel projects have cost taxpayers almost $117 billion, including a $286 million "bridge to nowhere," $192 million in tax breaks for the rum industry in U.S. territories, $1.7 million to study pig odor, and a $1 million guard rail for a non-existent lake. Notably, since Baldwin has been in Washington our national debt has increased by over $10 trillion.

"Over her 14 years in Congress, Madison liberal Tammy Baldwin has had no problem saddling hard-working Wisconsin families with debt to feed her appetite for pork barrel spending," said spokeswoman Lisa Boothe. "During her time in Congress, she has voted for 49,609 earmarks, costing American taxpayers almost $117 billion. Even worse, Baldwin is willing to spend us into bankruptcy to pay for frivolous expenditures like $1.7 million to study pig odor and a $1 million guard rail for a non-existent lake. With our nation facing a $16 trillion debt, Wisconsin families cannot afford Baldwin and her wasteful pork barrel spending."
