Maloney Wins First and Only Gubernatorial Debate

Morgantown, WVThis evening, the West Virginia Broadcasters hosted the one and only scheduled gubernatorial debate of the 2012 election.
“Bill Maloney clearly won the debate tonight. Tonight, voters were presented with a clear choice: A 37-year long failed record from a career politician OR a job creator with a vision for a brighter future for West Virginia,” stated Seth Wimer, campaign manager for Bill Maloney.

Maloney accepted two other debate invitations, which Earl Ray Tomblin ignored.

“I am not afraid to contrast our two different futures for the state. In fact, I challenge Earl Ray Tomblin to join me in another debate, anytime, anyplace. I’ll join him in the Northern Panhandle, the Eastern Panhandle, or even in his home county of Logan. Even in another debate, we still won’t hear a plan from Earl Ray Tomblin because he proved tonight that he does not have a plan for West Virginia. Earl Ray showed that a vote for him is a vote for more of the same— the continued Obama policies of higher taxes, more spending, less jobs,” stated Bill Maloney.

“I am ready to lead and get to work creating jobs for West Virginians. I have a plan for a Brighter Future for West Virginia. As governor, I will bring jobs to West Virginia, fix our budget crisis, and end the culture of corruption in Charleston,” concluded Maloney.
