Ron Paul Dominates New Hampshire Debate

Ron Paul held nothing back during the debate as he passionately defended the Constitution, civil liberties, veterans, and his own integrity. It has been exciting to see improvement in Paul's debate performances; he is more aggressive and pithy.

It is really quite striking to hear a big government politician like Rick Santorum brag that he would go to war in Iran, yet he has never served a day in the military. I remember when Bill Clinton was running, how many of my family members were horrified because he had no military experience. Yet, now we have a bunch of Republicans running with no military experience who are gleefully proclaiming their willingness to go to war. Where is the criticism of them?

Only Ron Paul and Rick Perry have served, and only Ron Paul is still fighting for the Constitution. It is hard to take Rick Perry serious when he makes comments about re-invading Iraq and has a history of governing as a RINO. I am tired of life-long civilians trying to appear powerful by throwing away the lives of the bravest, few Americans who serve in uniform. The current US population is 312,817,618 and we have serving in uniform approximately 2,937,899, counting reserves. A great majority of this republic has no idea how much our military personnel, and their families, sacrifice.

It is time we have a president who is more thoughtful and less eager to start wars and set upon years of endless nation building. Ron Paul dominated this debate because he was thoughtful, honest, and unyielding to the group thought. God bless Ron Paul, he is a modern day founding father. Just like every candidate, I don't agree with him on everything, but he may be the only consistent politician in my life time. Here is Ron Paul's highlights from the debate.

For those of you what are still concerned over Ron Paul's foreign policy, and I will admit that is the one area I don't completely agree with him on, remember that our civil liberties are being destroyed. Which will affect your family every day of their lives? Living in a republic where civil liberties are a thing of the past or Ron Paul's foreign policy?

Congress will never allow Ron Paul, or any president for that matter, to significantly change our foreign policy. The Republicans will reclaim the Senate this November and no doubt will immediately move to expand the military; as I believe we should. What a President Paul would have a significant say over is the ATF, EPA, and all the other little out-of-control agencies that directly affect our freedom.

Please think before you vote, because as of today Ron Paul is tied in the delegate count with Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum; there is no front runner.

Ron Paul Wins GOP Straw Poll in Delegate-Rich Idaho

Handily defeats competitors in the Gem State

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul easily beat his competitors in the Idaho state Republican Party’s first-ever public presidential straw poll. Paul earned 173 of the 399 votes cast statewide, followed by Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Jon Huntsman who earned 135, 47, 40, and 4 votes, respectively.

The straw poll was held at the Riverside Hotel, located in Boise. The Idaho Republican State Central Committee recently moved its voting contest to March 6th—Super Tuesday—and will nominate candidates using a county by county caucus system. Idaho has 32 delegates at the 2012 Republican National Convention, more than Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada.

“Ron Paul has a tremendous support base in the oft-overlooked but important state of Idaho. This straw poll win is a positive early indicator that as we focus even more on Pacific Northwest contests, Idaho will stand out as one of the states where Ron Paul has a competitive edge over his establishment competitors,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

Full results of the straw poll are as follows.

*Ron Paul – 173
Mitt Romney – 135
Newt Gingrich – 47
Rick Santorum – 40
Jon Huntsman – 4

Please feel free to share this update with your family, friends, and others who may be interested in state government operations.

Read for the Future

Making sure Wisconsin students know how to read by the fourth grade is critical to their education and success in the future. We need to make sure we are not failing them.

There is no skill more important than reading. Yet, over the past two decades, students in other states have been improving their reading achievement on national measures faster than students in Wisconsin. The results from the 2011 NAEP reading assessment for 4th grade students show that while Wisconsin once ranked among the very top states in the nation, we now rank somewhere in the middle of the pack. The literacy skills a child acquires in the early years of life provide the foundation for all later learning, and research has demonstrated that a child who is reading on grade level by the end of third grade is far more likely to graduate from high school than a student who is not.

In an effort to dramatically improve reading outcomes in Wisconsin, I convened the Read to Lead Task Force in the Spring of 2011. We reviewed the state of reading in Wisconsin and developed a plan for improvement. The impressive team of teachers, legislators from both political parties, researchers, and advocates worked together to reach a consensus on ways to ensure all of Wisconsin’s children learn to read before they reach fourth grade. Specifically I was happy to partner with State Superintendent Dr. Tony Evers, State Senator Luther Olsen, and Representative Steve Kestell.

The recommendations of the Read to Lead Task Force focus on improvements and changes in teacher preparation and professional development; screening, assessment and intervention; early childhood; accountability; and family involvement. They include:

  • Implementing early literacy screening for all kindergarteners in Wisconsin to identify and intervene with struggling students as soon as they enter school;
  • Implementing improvements to teacher preparation programs around early reading, including a new, more rigorous exam for reading educators;
  • Requiring that the professional development plans for all new elementary educators explicitly focus on literacy, and require focused professional development educators whose students continually struggle to improve their performance;
  • Providing new, aggressive professional development opportunities to enhance the skills of current reading educators, including a new online professional development portal at and an annual reading conference for elementary principals and district reading specialists; and
  • Creating a new public/private partnership to engage Wisconsin philanthropic groups and businesses around the goal of ensuring every child can read by the end of third grade.

The Task Force’s recommendations also focus on how the state will hold our institutions accountable for improving reading results. Specifically:

  • Wisconsin’s new educator effectiveness system, released in November 2011, will require a portion of every educator’s evaluation to be based on growth in statewide reading scores;
  • Wisconsin’s new school and district accountability system, still under development, will place additional weight on third grade reading performance to underscore the importance of reading on grade level at that critical year; and
  • Schools and districts underperforming in reading will be required to implement targeted improvements, including a science-based reading program.

I am proud of the work of this non-partisan Task Force. Working together I believe we have developed an important plan to improve reading in Wisconsin, laying the foundation for our students to excel.

One Year on the Job

Over the course of the first year serving as your Governor I made a number of promises aimed at improving our state. Unlike many office holders who often make promises that they do not keep, I followed through on a number of important initiatives aimed at reforming government and leaving our kids and grandkids with a state better off than the one we received. Below is a listing of the major promises I took action on during my first year on the job.

  • I promised to balance Wisconsin’s $3.6 billion budget deficit without increasing taxes or requiring massive public employee layoffs. On June 26th signed into law the 2011-13 budget. This balanced budget makes tough choices while providing a path to recovery and prosperity for our state and our people. Through honest budgeting, we are providing an alternative to the reckless tricks and gimmicks of the past. Just as any parent would dread leaving their kids in debt, it is the dream of every mother and father to leave their children a little better off, and that’s what our budget will do.
  • I promised to call the Legislature into Special Session to pass pro-growth legislation aimed at helping employers create jobs. Earlier this year I signed legislation into law improving Wisconsin’s litigation climate, improving the state’s regulatory process, creating the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, creating a tax credit for employers that create jobs, and making health savings accounts tax deductible. In these challenging economic times while Illinois is raising taxes, we are lowering them. On my first day in office I called a Special Session of the legislature, not in order to raise taxes, but to open Wisconsin for business. I am pleased to sign into law bills that provide tax relief to small businesses, create a job-friendly legal environment, lessen the regulations that stifle growth, and expand tax credits for companies that relocate here and grow here.
  • I promised to help the private sector create 250,000 new jobs by 2015. After 3 years of net private sector job losses totaling 150,000, in the first 11 months of 2011 Wisconsin had a net increase of thousands of new jobs. Because of the hard work done so far to improve Wisconsin’s business climate, employers are willing to grow and invest in our state. That is good for middle class working families and it is good for Wisconsin. We are on our way to creating 250,000 jobs by 2015, but there is more work to be done in order to meet and surpass that goal.
  • I promised to pay off the debts and fund raids of the past. Working with the Legislature we were able to pay off $800 million in unpaid bills, including $235 million to the Patient's Compensation Fund and $58 million owed to the state of Minnesota. These are huge steps toward restoring confidence in our state’s ability to manage its finances. The era of illegal fund raids, job killing tax increases, one time money being used for ongoing operations, and massive budget deficits has ended. Paying off outstanding bills, operating under a balanced budget, and working on bipartisan, pro-growth initiatives sends a clear message to job creators that Wisconsin is open for business.
  • I promised to take politics out of the woods. Last year I appointed a Whitetail Deer Trustee and held a roundtable to listen to the concerns of hunters. The Deer Trustee will provide an independent evaluation, study Wisconsin’s deer management practices, and make recommendations. It is vitally important that hunters, sportsmen and women, and conservationists trust the state to be a partner in helping to effectively sustain our deer populations. The Deer Trustee will help ensure they have confidence in Wisconsin’s deer herd management practices.
  • I promised to freeze property taxes. The budget signed into law and reforms are saving taxpayers hundreds of dollars. For the first time in six years the school portion of the property tax levy went down one percent on average across the whole state. Our reforms are protecting taxpayers while keeping our schools great. Taxpayers are seeing their levies go down for the first time in six years, while our schools continue to meet the needs of Wisconsin students.

It has been a pleasure communicating with you. It is an honor to serve as your Governor and represent the residents of Wisconsin.

In Vang Pao, the Hmong community lost a leader, and the United States lost a historic friend and ally. Throughout his life, Vang Pao consistently stood up for freedom and liberty in Southeast Asia and around the world. He was a tireless advocate for the Hmong people and richly deserves the tribute he will receive today.
Vang Pao was a faithful ally during the Vietnam War, and a strong leader. He fought selflessly to protect his people from a murderous and oppressive regime.
When the United States withdrew from Vietnam, Vang Pao came to the United States in exile, but continued to work for the compassionate treatment of the people of Laos, and refugees in Thailand and elsewhere. Largely due to his efforts, Hmong refugees were saved from the reprisals they would have suffered had they been forced to return to Laos.
I am pleased to join with the Hmong community of Wisconsin in remembering his life and achievements.

Gun Owners of America: Santorum Surges, but Still No Gun Rights Survey

January 06, 2012

Gun Owners of America

Rick Santorum emerged as the latest conservative alternative to Mitt Romney in Tuesday’s Iowa caucuses, placing second to Romney by a mere eight votes.

Santorum, a former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, currently holds a “B-” rating from Gun Owners of America. That indicates he was with us for much--but not all--of the time he was in office.

It is troubling, therefore, that Santorum still hasn’t returned the GOA presidential survey.

Mitt Romney also has not returned a survey, but we know why. He’s already come out in support of massive gun control initiatives such as a semi-auto ban and waiting periods for gun purchases. Romney is the real RINO in this race (Republican In Name Only) -- as evidenced by the fact that anti-gun Senator John McCain just endorsed him. We also know that Rick Perry has an excellent record on guns as Texas’ governor, and that Representative Ron Paul is A+ rated and has a perfect voting record in Congress.

Even Newt Gingrich, whose record on gun rights is far from perfect, returned a survey.

This makes it all the more important that Santorum clarify his positions by completing the Gun Owners of America presidential survey.

The questionnaire asks about banning firearms, registering gun owners, and supporting a massive UN gun control treaty--as well as the candidates’ views repealing existing gun laws and other issues important to gun owners.

There are nearly 100 million gun owners in America. If Santorum is positioning himself as the alternative to Romney, then he shouldn’t ignore this vast constituency as it continues to asses the candidates.

ACTION: Please contact the Santorum campaign right away and urge him to complete the GOA survey.

You can send an email directly to his New Hampshire office at, or you can also call his New Hampshire office at 603-518-5199. You can also contact Rick through his webform at

Please call or email today and urge Mr. Santorum to fill out his GOA survey. The New Hampshire primary is right around the corner, so this is the best time to get his attention.

Ron Paul Surging in New Hampshire Following Top-Tier Finish in Iowa

New survey shows Paul with double the poll numbers of the third place candidate, solidifying Paul’s position as the ‘Option to Romney’

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul is in second place in the key early voting state of New Hampshire with a remarkable 24 percent of the vote, according to a new poll.

The Washington Times/Zogby Analytics Poll, taken after the Iowa Caucuses Iowa shows, Rick Santorum with just 11 percent, and Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, and Rick Perry earned just 9, 8, and 1 percent, respectively.

Poll highlights include an acknowledgment that Paul has an opportunity for growth, and that about half of all single voters support the 12-term Congressman from Texas.

“On the heels of his close third place finish at the Iowa Caucus, Ron Paul is polling a strong second place in New Hampshire. From here on out, it is a two-man race between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney given that one of the tickets out of Iowa was a dead-end due to Rick Santorum’s glaring lack of viability,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

“There are only two campaigns that have the resources and infrastructure to win the Republican nomination – and one of those organizations belongs to Ron Paul,” added Mr. Benton.

The poll of 498 likely primary voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points and ten percent undecided, showing Dr. Paul with the potential to catch and surpass Gov. Romney and win the Granite State.

The endorsements come on the heels of the 12-term Congressman from Texas’s strong top-three finish in the Iowa Caucus giving one of two viable tickets out of the Hawkeye State.

“Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has been in the lead for months,” wrote the editors, “but voters still seem desperate for an alternative — there’s always another candidate pulling stronger or almost as strong numbers in the polls. Voters have lost faith in Obama, but they are not sold on Romney to replace him.”

Congressman Ron Paul, however, “has never voted to raise a tax and voted against all of the bailouts that have riled up Tea Partiers and Occupy Wall Streeters alike,” they continued. “His prediction that the United States can no longer afford the economic cost of our overseas commitments makes many Republicans uncomfortable, possibly by the very truth of the assertion. For decades he has been that rare sort of politician who speaks what he believes to be the truth and doesn’t flutter in the wind of public opinion. That could not be said of Obama or Romney.

“Powerful leaders like Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan change the political landscape,” the editors concluded. “This is what Ron Paul would do for our country and why we support him.”

Paul makes history in first-in-nation voting state

– The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign is celebrating a great victory with its strong top-three finish at the Iowa Caucus. Below please find comments from Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton:

“The Ron Paul campaign is celebrating a great victory tonight.

“There were three tickets out of Iowa, and Ron Paul earned one of them.

“One of the three tickets, the one belonging to Rick Santorum, is a dead-end due to Santorum’s weak fundraising and lack of national campaign organization.

“This is now a two way race between establishment candidate Mitt Romney and the candidate for real change, Ron Paul.

“Ron Paul has a top notch national organization, tremendous fundraising prowess, and unequaled enthusiasm among his volunteers and supporters.

“Dr. Paul has taken the first step towards earning the delegates it will take to be the GOP nominee and is the only candidate not named Mitt Romney with the ability to do so.

“Ron Paul is now off to New Hampshire, South Carolina, Louisiana, Nevada, Maine, North Dakota, Washington, Colorado, and beyond.

“See you on the campaign trail.”

English Lesson On Ron Paul's Foreign Policy

For those who insist on mutilating the English language a quick English lesson is in order.  Ron Paul's foreign policy is to stay out of sovereign nations' affairs, not to isolate the US from alliances or trade with those sovereign nations.  That makes him a non interventionist, not an isolationist; big difference.  One makes him the greatest president since Ronald Reagan, the other is a third grade bully tactic by Republican candidates whose foreboding loss is becoming more of a reality.

Non Interventionist:

Abstention by a nation from interference in the affairs of other nations or in those of its own political subdivisions.

The policy or doctrine of isolating one's country from the affairs of other nations by declining to enter into alliances, foreign economic commitments, international agreements, etc., seeking to devote the entire efforts of one's country to its own advancement and remain at peace by avoiding foreign entanglements and responsibilities.

Rick Santorum's Irrational Fear Of Freedom Not Working

In an eye opening article John Garver, Rick Santorum's nephew, warns unaware voters who would be taken in by his moralistic appearance and endorses Ron Paul for president.  In Rick Santorum's case, according to his nephew and others, appearances are deceiving; which landed him on the 20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress list.  There are others who know him and are not so easily seduced by his exhibition.

Rick Santorum is, perhaps, the most frightening candidate of them all because his deceit of the voter is monumental.  He has circumvented his record with conservative rhetoric of which voters have inattentively accepted.  Read John Garver's own words for yourself and heed his warning; Rick Santorum is not a Conservative and will not fight for your freedom, your liberty, or to bring our troops home.

My Uncle Rick cannot fathom a society in which people cooperate and work with each other freely.

A Squandered Majority

I am a life-long Republican who realized during the Bush years that I had more in common with Libertarians and Conservatives than with the establishment.  I have always had those beliefs, I had just never taken the time to educate myself on the voting records of individual politicians.  I foolishly believed Republican meant Conservative.

I remember excitedly watching Bush and Cheney during a campaign stop where Bush was decrying nation-building and promising to halt the practice.  A few years into his presidency he had forgotten all about that promise, but I hadn't.  During my time in the military we had been in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and various other conflicts, humanitarian missions, and peacekeeping operations.  The military is exhausted.

These same politicians who love war seem to also like an under manned military, resulting in constant deployments, broken marriages, and an unfair burden on a tiny percent of our population.  Think of how many children have never seen one of their parents, or rarely seen them.  I am not talking about those who made the ultimate sacrifice, but rather those who have done three, plus tours.

This is one of the reasons why Ron Paul has received more military donations than all the other Republican candidates combined.  While so few brave Americans have volunteered to serve and protect the Republic, both political parities have rushed through an ever increasing amount of legislation to steal our God given rights; costing Americans more freedom than any foreign enemy.

So, to the Republican Party I say be careful, your over-the-top mocking and criticisms of Ron Paul are costing you life-long Republican voters and I dedicate this song to you, for you truly are burning bridges.

Dissecting Michele Bachmann's Counterfeit Conservative Stands

Michele Bachmann says she is a Constitutionalist, funny since she does not even hesitate or blink at throwing the Constitution out the window with the Patriot Act and calling for us to send our sons and daughters to their deaths in war after war on distorted terror threats. She says she wants the federal government out of the states business, then in the next breath says Ron Paul is left of Obama for promoting that very thing.  By pointing out to Americans that it is the states that has the right to make activities like abortion and drugs legal or illegal without any intervention by the federal government or the judicial system so they can change it, he is doing more than all the other candidates together, whose only intent is to continue to use it as a campaign talking point to get themselves elected.

In this Constitutionally declared manner (the federal government's primary role is national defense and ensuring free trade between the states and the people and the states having all other powers) the people will decide where they live or who they allow to govern them at the state and local levels. The very views Michele Bachmann is claiming to espouse, she calls left of Obama when Ron Paul promises to put them into action.

Michele can't play both sides, she needs to be honest and speak it as she sees it; her actions are those of someone who believes the Constitution should be thrown out, that there is nothing wrong with killing millions of innocent women, children, and elderly in pre-emptive, empire-building wars around the world, that we should continue to pour all our money, during a recession, into occupying sovereign nations around the world indefinitely, and that no state has any rights or power under the federal government and is subject to judicial interpretation of the Constitution. Sounds like counterfeit conservatism to me.
If one were to believe everything Michele Bachmann says, in her bid for the presidency, one would probably cry out in fear for their government to take whatever resource, liberty, or freedom necessary to rid the world of the evil threat.  How has that worked for us so far?  Hmm, lost freedoms with the Patriot Act, lost liberties with the TSA and they are still shrieking from the podiums that the terror threats are more real than ever.  So why should we believe that if we give up more of our freedoms and liberties it will make one ioda of a difference?  Maybe it is a big, red flag that the terror threat isn't as real as they claim it is.
Be very careful of what interpretation someone is feeding you. You have the Internet at you disposal, use it. Educate your self on the truth, don't blindly swallow what a presidential candidate feeds you on the campaign trail. Michele Bachmann would have you believe that Iran is the devil of the world who will kill millions by unleashing a nuclear haulocaust; she would have you believe this justifies us to invade and kill them first with a pre-emptive war.  Iran's own people are turning on their leadership, they have bigger problems to worry about.

Have the presidential candidates thought out that Iran's hot air may be to distract its own citizenry. If the candidates took more time to actually educate themselves on what is going on in countries they are ramping up to attack, instead of twisting and misinterpreting that country's intentions, they might be able to focus on what is affecting Americans here at home.

These presidential candidates would not want you to connect the dots, use common sense, or apply the golden rule.  They don't want you to see that Ron Paul simply wants us to accept that religious differences is not a reason to send other people's children to foreign lands to kill innocent civilians.  This is what hypocritical Christ followers are always wailing about; until it no longer suits them.

Think about it, if Iran did secure a nuclear bomb and used it they would be committing suicide because the return volley would wipe them off the face of the Earth. They must survive, as a nation, for their prophecy to be fulfilled and they know this.  They are not going to use the nuke as anything, but a bargaining chip.

We cannot tell another sovereign nation they do not have a right to have nuclear weapons on one hand, while holding a massive stock pile of nuclear weapons of our own in the other hand; the real world doesn't work that way, that is what diplomacy is for.  Even Obama knew that Americans are tired of sacrificing their children to wars on pseudo terror threats and holier-than-thou wars, which is why he ran for president on it (Note, he betrayed his own words and never brought our troops home).  Although Americans have been Pavlovian conditioned to believe we have a right, and a duty, to police the world, we simply do not; we only have the duty to treat others as we desire to be treated.  Ron Paul knows this and calls the establishment out on their hypocritical scare tactics and they are savagely attacking him for upsetting their cart of absolute power.

Coming from candidates who tote reduced spending, democracy, diplomacy, peace, and civil rights it is amazing just how much war and death (of your spouses and children serving in the military) they are willing to wage, and continue to wage, and how much money they are willing to throw at those holier-than-thou wars.  Just because presidential candidates stand to benefit from stating over and over, year after year, that someone is an enemy does not make them an enemy; you must be human enough to see their destructive war mongering and not put them into power.

Michele Bachmann is no different than any other politician who is out for their own gain, this is proven by their record, get to know their record; not just what they or the media says their record is.  Educate your self on the truth.  Don't think that if Michele Bachmann feels that it is in the best interest of national security she would not be capable of taking away your free speech, your religious freedom, your land, and your guns to subdue whatever she deems a terror threat; she already took the first step by voting for the Patriot Act.

Why Dick Morris Fears Ron Paul A Voice of Sanity -

by Robert Ringer - Monday, January 2, 2012

It’s been quite humorous watching Dick Morris switch modes — from dismissing Ron Paul as a nut and a crackpot to hysterically warning people how dangerous he is. In one of his recent lunch videos, Morris ranted nonstop about Paul, going so far as to say, “He is the most radical, liberal candidate running.” Then, on The O’Reilly Factor, Morris said, “I think that he is absolutely the most liberal, radical, left-wing person to run for president in the United States in the last fifty years.”

Ron Paul As President: The Truth, Not The Deceit

Our founders' sacrificed their homes, their families, and their lives to win their freedom, how does anyone, who has never so much as lifted a finger to defend their own freedom, believe they have a right to allow anyone, or themselves, to beguile that freedom?  The problems plaguing this Republic could all be addressed in one infallible swoop, if Americans were willing to make the necessary sacrifices, by electing a president who would restore the ideology declared by our founding fathers and secured by our Constitution.

Who alive can know better what our founders intended than they themselves?  Then why are we allowing progressive activists to enforce their own interpretation of what they believe government should be?  Why do we need an interpretation of something that was very clearly put forth?  Why would we allow a minority, who has declared themselves elite (and who certainly don't emulate it), to deceive us into believing that our founders words were somehow ciphered over time and need to be reclarified for our advanced society.  How can anyone consider murdering unborn babies, impeding energy independence, regulating the course of nature, enforcing unjust policies and laws, tolerating supposed and loosely defined insanity as a defense for crimes against children, genocide, citizenry experimentation, and a deliberately impaired education system advanced?

Our founders would be mortified by our societal decline.  The precedence of freedom over the deception of security is more credible when your citizenry has had to bleed for their freedom rather than that citizenry leaching that freedom from someone else's sacrifice.

These freedom leachers and security harlots who are beguiled of their freedoms by pretentious politicians are the source of this Republic's suffering.  The parasitic politicians who feed off the fear and anguish of the people and fabricate commitments to ending their suffering propagate said suffering.  The truth is they do so to gain and maintain their own prestige at the expense of the citizens they only intend to keep coerced through fear mongering and political rhetoric.

The only way out of this depraved bog our big government has gotten us into is to stop the insanity of believing establishment candidates over and over, with the same disastrous results time after time, and voting one of them president.  It is time to think outside of the two party box that has utterly failed we the people and demand that a president arise as the archetype of our founding fathers' vision who will champion the Constitution as it was intended.

A president who will be restrained to his Constitutionally intended role, who will ensure that the federal government is restrained to its Constitutionally intended role, who will protect our homeland from its enemies and not its own innocent citizenry, who will not squander our resources waging wars on sovereign nations under the pretenses of fallacious terror threats, and who will bring our troops home to no longer die on foreign soil in vain.

Don't be fooled by establishment candidates like Newt Ginrigh, Michelle Bachmann, Mitt Romney, or Rich Santorum who are business-as-usual, big-government, establishment cronies spewing the same old fear mongering rhetoric.  Don't be fooled by mainstream media who ensures you see the world through their rose colored glasses.

Ron Paul is not a isolationist, as they claim, he is non-interventionist who believes each nation has a right to govern itself without another nation bullying it (and that includes the US too).  Ron Paul is electable and the polls are proving it, which is why the establishment are running scared and attempting to destroy his campaign by twisting his stands and using words of third-grade bullies like kooky.  They disparage his states rights stand by claiming that it makes him pro-drug or pro-abortion.

How does returning to our government, as it was established by our founders, with the states having all the power and the feds being restrained only to national defense (defensive wars of our homeland and not offensive wars in other lands) and ensuring free trade between the states make one wrong?  Taking the stand that each state must make its own decision whether or not to allow abortion and that federal laws regulating states powers must be nullified makes one a champion of the Constitution and of we the people.  It does not make one for abortion or for drugs, it simply means that the state will be beholden to the people.

When exercising their Constitutional power of making their own laws if a state chooses to legalize drugs, abortion, or any other regulated activity the people will hold them accountable by voting them out of office or recalling them.  When given the ability to chose for themselves, most states will immediately do away with abortion because that is what the majority of people want.  This will succeed in accomplishing what we have fought so hard for; saving millions of innocent lives.

Rather than electing politicians and presidents that will only ensure that abortion remains a campaign talking point and allowing those millions of innocent lives to be snuffed out, Ron Paul as President would restore the states rights to make it illegal again.  Ron Paul is a passionate, life long defender of the unborn and sees all abortions as an act of violence against a defenseless human life and a violation of their God given rights and has shown this in his practices during his long career as an obstetrician and gynecologist

Ron Paul is electable, it is already happening, and it is scaring the hell out of establishment candidates who look forward to governing off the backs and dependency of a broken down people.  That is why my vote will be for Ron Paul and not a candidate whose intent is for their own gain and not mine.
