|Listening Sessions Monday!|
There's a great deal happening at the Wisconsin State Capitol from the Joint Finance Committee taking votes on the state budget to the important bills being discussed. Next week the state Assembly will vote on AB 110 on Tuesday. It requires FoodShare recipients to select healthier food options with their taxpayer-funded benefits. On Wednesday, the Assembly will take a final vote on AB 85, which reforms the Milwaukee County Board. These are two examples of how Assembly Republicans continue to work to reform government and protect the interests of taxpayers. I invite you to watch both of these legislative sessions on WisconsinEye. We begin each session day at one o'clock.
I also want to remind you about my three listening sessions taking place in the district on Monday. The most important part of my job is to listen to my constituents and I want to hear your thoughts on Governor Walker's proposed budget. It's finally spring at the state Capitol: the tulips are about to bloom.
Listening Sessions, Monday, May 6th
Mt. Pleasant Village Hall, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
Union Grove Village Hall, 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Burlington City Hall, 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
I hope you can attend one of the sessions. If you can't, I invite you to send your questions or concerns to Rep.Vos@legis.wi.gov or (608) 266-9171. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Finally, my spring questionnaire has hit mailboxes throughout the district. Please take a moment to fill out the paper survey or take the survey on-line at my website, www.speakervos.com.
Enjoy your weekend!
