Great idea. A man of principle you are. I don't have an Amazon account or I would join you. If more Catholics would hold businesses accountable this business would dry up pretty quickly.

One of the things I love about the Catholic League is that they continue to fight for our rights as viciously as the left tries to steal them.

No need to post this, but just letting you know that I contacted Amazon last night (via their email) and requested my (10 year) account be closed because of the offensive Halloween costumes.

I received a personal email today apologizing for the 'inconvenience' and telling me that my 'concern' would be forwarded to the appropriate dept, at which time they will contact me--in other words, they'll either take the costumes off the site or give me a story that I will or will not accept. If they don't remove the costumes from the site (and I doubt they will unless the complaints are massive) I'm going ahead with the closing of the acct.

Now, if Amazon gets enough of these emails they may take the costumes off the site rather than lose customers. Of course, I have no idea how many complaints they've received.

You may want to recommend that Catholic patrons of that site do the same.

I'm sorry churches have to deal with vulgar costumes people wear for the Halloween, but I think, it's safe to say, they cannot do anything about it, even if they try. The shops are selling the goods and customers appreciate it with buying it - here you can see that most of the people really don't care about any religion in their lives and it's their right for such an opinion. Because if they are not trying to belong to some religious society, they are allowed to wear whatever they want. And if someone would try to prevent them from it, it would be a violation of the fundamental human rights. Ella

Now why haven't the Jewish Rabbis or Islamists been dressed in such filth since 'religion' appears to be on the gag list this year?

Considering that Halloween costumes are generally worn by children and teenagers, ANY costume featuring an 'erection' should be immediately taken off the shelves, yet a costume which demeans the Catholic priesthood remains for sale?

That's not even a subtle slam.

(I think I'm done with Amazon. I've also read that they sell magazine subscriptions that cater to pedophiles.)
